Ginger Savely? « Thread Started on May 22, 2006, 1:57pm »
Does anyone know where or how a doc anywhere else might be able to get in contact with her?
Is she in New Mexico? Thanks
My thoughts are why don't we have our docs ask her what she's treating her patients with, which she seems to be successful at doing from what I've read.

Ginger is in San Francisco and you can reach her at her email lymesf@gmail.com. She usually answers within a few hours. She has another email address; however I would have to look for it. I can do that if you need. I do not have a telephone number for her.

This is great Trev, thank you. I want my doc to contact her, I want what she's prescribing too.
My Septra and Itraconazole didn't work, I've got 3 new itchies, after 2 weeks of those meds. Which the Itra alone was almost $250. So I don't want to keep "trying" all the meds on the market, maybe if we do the same protocol of meds the others with success are taking, that might be the ticket.

Could someone PM this information to Tonie please? I don't have it in front of me and have to leave but Tonie, if you don't get it by tomorrow let me know and I'll look it up. Thanks.

Tonie- If you don't get Ginger Savely's address in San Francisco, pm me and I will see if I can find it. I am a bit confused if she still resides in Texas and workks part time in SFO or if she has completely transferred to SFO area, residence and all. Phone contact in the past was not the easiest way to reach her. E-mail usually turned out to be efficient. You received the correct e-mail address.
Of more than 80 Morgellons patients all but 1 are positive with Lyme disease. When treated with antibiotics for Lyme disease remission of Morgellons symptoms is seen in most.

Curious here- Is it true her apointments range in the astronomical figures these days?
Good for her if so ( not against anyone making money) but bad for us...especially b/c she takes no insuance.

London, I know that sounds (and is) so expensive but all the LLMDs charge these huge figures. They are the ones most likely to understand and try to treat Morgellons as well.
One good thing is that you do get total testing from them...... we're talking a dozen or more vials of blood so they can find anything that might be wrong with you. They spend a lot more time with us than the regular 5-7 minute exam, plus they believe what we say and give so much emotional support. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they have to put some "extra" away for a rainy day.....you know, the one where they get taken to court and have to defend their right to treat as they see fit.
I know that most of us cannot afford these fees, myself included, but I guess it's another case of "you get what you pay for". One consolation is new legislation that has been proposed: http://tinyurl.com/gz5rk. This will remove much of the risk involved with treating Lyme and Morgellons, and we can only hope it comes to pass. When Morgellons is recognized as the serious disease that it is and more doctors start treating it, the fees will go down I'm sure.
In the meantime I guess we're pretty much on our own to try and keep our immune systems at optimum and try the various suggestions on this forum that we can afford. Above all else, we must continue to keep the faith that we won't be struggling too much longer.

Hey guys, trev here
Ginger is in San Francisco and does not practice in austin any more. you can reach her at her email lymesf@gmail.com. She usually answers within a few hours. She has another email address; and it is her austin email address AND SHE DOES ANSWER FROM THAT EMAIL ADDRESS TOO. I just don't have it with me right now.
I do not have any phone number for her. Perhaps looking in directory assistance would be an option. I haven't seen any number for her anyplace.
Her fees are $1000 to see you and she also has some type of structured telephone fee with is rediculous. Its something like 200 for the first 15 minutes, then 175 for the next 15 minutes and so on.

Thanks QH! According to what you wrote.....I not only have it- I was born with it! lol...
Pattie,
Thanks. Right on, I hear ya and already figured that it came with TLC too
But you guys, I have a question- espedcially since I read QH symptoms up above that the Lyme B. "burns/ has stabbing like sensations".....
Here's my 3 questions.......
!. Can you get it from a flea?
2. Say one was bit with a Lyme infested tick, how long does it take to show the symptoms (that QH wrote about aBove) shows up in your body? And I never ever had this rash (bulls eye rash) Did you? How or what is the % of people that you think get this rash? Like 80% or higher?
* I know I'm past my 3 questions.....I'm trying to be sneaky and throw a bunch into one question like above (but it aint' working......)
3. Well, I def. exhibit those above symptoms of Lyme but I have never been tested? Why?
B/C it (according to what I have read) is critical that one begins a series of antibiotics asap;
and if I do have Lyme, I got it over two years ago this coming August when I was Flea bit.
There, I'm finsished with my many questions. Please answer (anyone) when you have time.

Check out this article I just read, this is only a very small (portion) of it, which it was this month. But see how it "implies" Ginger Savely's office is in Austin, and not San Fran??
Is it me not understanding this? Cause why would someone drive from San Fran to see Savely, if Savely IS in San Fran.
I'm feeling "retarded" today, so if I have this back asswards, please help me out here.
Savely says there does seem to be a significant link between Morgellons and chronic lyme disease.
"It's weird to be so happy about having a chronic disease, but we're just happy to have an answer," Casey said.
Cindy Casey is so happy. She travels all the way from San Francisco to Savely's South Austin office. Carol Arledge from San Angelo, Eric Roberson is from Austin were told they were crazy and in need of psychiatric help.
