Check the CDC site the page has been updated to say the results will soon be published! www.cdc.gov/unexplaineddermopathy/investigation.htmlThe first part was the first change I noticed: We recently completed the data analysis. A final report has been submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Also, on the general information page they are using the word "condition" quite a lot...I don't remember that being mentioned before...to me that seems new...anybody else remember whether or not that was the way it was worded before?

What is the current status of the study?
We recently completed the data analysis. A final report has been submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.www.cdc.gov/unexplaineddermopathy/investigation.htmlI didn't notice any other changes except the above added. Hopefully it is not a Psychiatric peer-reviewed scientific journal. It would be more comforting if they said "medical" journal.

How will CDC communicate information about this condition and the findings from the study? On September 24, 2009, CDC convened an external review panel made up of experts from the fields of dermatology, infectious diseases, public health, and mental health which examined the study activities to date and provided advice on future activities. The panel will provide recommendations and guidance to CDC about analyses they think should be conducted on the data. CDC’s CCID Board of Scientific Counselors met in November 2009 and was provided an update on the progress of the panel’s review (Preliminary Report on Progress of External Peer Review of CDC's Unexplained Dermopathy Project to the CCID Board of Scientific Counselors [PDF, 11 KB]). When CDC receives a report from the external review panel, it will be made available on this website.
When data analysis is complete and results of the study are available, the findings will most likely be published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal and disseminated through other channels, to CDC’s public health partners, such as State and local health departments and medical societies, and through this website. tinyurl.com/4aszlkn ginna898- please use tiny url to shorten that long urls before you post them thank's --AntIn December 2008, CDC mailed letters to state medical associations, in case they and their members received inquiries about this condition, in order to provide an update about CDC’s activities. Letter from CDC to medical association [PDF, 45 KB] We will provide an update to these organizations as well, when the study results are available. (So if the report is complete on this first part of study but not published yet --- it appears to mean available to us on their CDC website after publication is approved and completed?)

www.cdcchatter.net/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=806&theme=Printer"I worked at CDC/GAP and DeCock was an excellent scientist and director. There were alot of mid-level managers who were moving up the ladder quickly that thought they should be treated the same or better than DeCock. These inexperience people never read a peer review journal in their lives. This is what shocked me the most, how are so many inexperience people in public health and HIV/AIDS able to get GS- 13-14 jobs, without any knowledge of HIV or public health? " it looks like they use JAMA as one they publish in; tinyurl.com/4rpw5al

Just more jibberish... and we still wait. The CDC has now stated they have submitted there results for publication...Please do explain, what do you mean by jibberish? I don't understand. I thought that was an encouraging update, maybe I'm wrong in thinking that.

DC10801,
Just to help you out, that particular page has been on their site for quite a while now and hasn't changed.
I believe that's why many of us are disgusted with them, because nothing new has been added for quite some time now.

If it's a quarterly publication I would hope for 3/31/2011...I'd be very disappointed if not by June 30, 2011!
