Dr. Butler tested 5 of us! « Thread Started on Apr 14, 2006, 9:48am »
Dr. Butler has talked to the African doctor about Morgellons. I'm hopeful that he will get involved. He said we all tested positive for parasites, and that it could be a connection to our agony. The things I have that can cause chronic skin problems are: yeast, pinworms, giardia, and blastocystis hominus.
I do understand that if our immune system is compromised by Lyme, that leaves us open to over-population of parasites, just like AIDS patients develop parasite problems. So we need to treat the parasites if we are ever to get better.
I picked up my liquid herbs yesterday. I don't know how many of the 5 people that tested are opting to do this, but it will not be an easy 7 days for us. While we are on the herbs we cannot have sugar, dairy, caffeine, wheat, or alcohol.
I believe one person didn't test positive for much at all, because of taking some supplement that Dr. Butler said would work if they take it for six months. Maybe they will see this and respond with the website. I do believe VAXA.com has a great product, which I have my son taking. It isn't easy because you have to take it between meals.

Becky...yes, that would be wonderful if another doctor...especially that African doctor would be interested in getting involved. Thanks for the post and please keep us posted.

I am one of the 5. Evidently I had the worst results out of 600 stool tests that have passed through the office in some indefinite period of time. I had 8 problem areas according to the evaluation I received via paper copy and phone conference. Yeast was 5 (scale of 1 being the least and 5 being the most) He might have said that means it can be in your blood, but don't recall--something was said to be in the blood stream.
The other categories besides yeast(Candida) were as follows: Protozoan (one -celled and generally less harmful parasites) Under this category was listed both cysts and trophozoltes). Don't know what stages this represents.
Metazoan-(multi-celled with systems and organs-round worms and flat worms or flukes) They can be far more concerning.
Bacteria-I had two types which I haven't yet looked up.
Enterococci bacteriae 4 (can't read the spelling for sure)
Klebbirelle or Klebbinelle (sp)? 3
The worst one is supposedly the rare flat worm or lung fluke. Supposedly it is found in the Far East. I don't know where to find a parasitologist to help. I have been told the lung fluke is extremely hard to kill. Another source said Biltricide should do the job. ( Evidently Ivermechtin, a dewormer, didn't do the job last spring. However, I only had 3 small tablets and nearly went to the ER for not being able to breathe. Hope Biltricide doesn't have same affect on my breathing in case I have to take it.)

betsy,
He told me that there are not many doctors that can lead you through eliminating parasites. We are very fortunate to be able to work with him. It takes a couple weeks all together, including doing a blood tonic.
Are you not able to work with him due to distance?

betsy, I made notes. He said in the cysts stage they are dormant, but they won't remain that way. In the trophozoites stage they are active.
Also, don't think that the single-celled protozoa are not dangerous. He said they have done damage to my intestines, which is indicated by the "positive" for pus and mucus. Also, "positive" for the Charcot Leyden Crystals means there is parasite feces in your feces. When this stuff is absorbed into your system and fed to all of your organs, including your brain, you can understand why you have brainfog.

Fecal coliform and enterococci if present in high concentrations in recreational waters and are ingested while swimming or enter the skin through a cut or sore, they may cause human disease, infections or rashes.

Becky, Yes, now I do see a place on the report that says I tested positive for "pus", "mucus","Charcot Leyden Crystals", as well as Trophozoltes, cysts, ova and parasites.
Whew--guess I am a mess. What did you say all this stuff means?
p.s. Thanks for posting the ones we have in common. Want to trade a few? I sure don't like this lung fluke thing. And--in the last two weeks I've had congested lungs and some kind of weird movement on the left side in chest cavity-- makes me really nervous. Betsy

Hi, folks the organisms that leaned out of my pores to latch onto cooked meat( bait) were no hallucination. Formication , my eye! Also I've never done amphetamines or cocaine( wrong age group) . I am another of the five individuals tested through Dr. Butler's office. Only tested positive for candida albicans 4 on a scale of 1to5. Not surprising considering the amount of antibiotics I took before the derm doc cut me off. I also was on parasite compound for two weeks at the time of the testing and am still taking it. I have a homeopathic practicioner to work with and he gave me a remedy and I am combining that with Dr. butler's dietary reccomendations to combat the candida, hopefully this will correct the imbalance in my system and I wont have to eat yogurt. Yuck!! My symptoms are lessening, my GI tract is calming down and the stuff coming out of my skin just feels different. Can't explain it exept to say it feels dry, stiff as if it was just dead skin. But it does leave little bloody holes sometimes. Just thought I'd bring you folks up to speed on how things are working for me. Love to all

Still Hangin In, I didn't mean to imply that we are delusional. Some of the dictionaries don't say that.
Please keep us updated. I got goosebumps when I read your post. We've all discussed how mysterious yeast is, and how many health problems it can cause.
I am starting my herbs and candida diet tomorrow. My boss is letting me stay home for the next two days, added to the weekend, I get four days to chill except one doctor's visit to ensure I am eliminating properly.

Hey Becky, I was adressing that little bit of venom at the professionals that think we are delusional, not at you . Just still get angry at the terrible treatment I was met with when this condition first reared it's ugly head or heads more appropriately. I also hope the other two people get in touch and let us know their outcomes too.
