toni-Hi- I was just joking about the Zeiss and my joke didn't go over so well.(the story of my life) I meant I was here at lymebuster looking at things. All my pics are from the little amscope. Sorry for the confusion. I'm happy with the amscope- I don't know if it's mac compatible. You could read some of the comments at Amazon about it. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006FCI0G8/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 look at this "fiber thing"

Hi Absurdly,
Well, I loved your picture quality so much I ordered one of those AM Scopes also.
I got the one that has a bit more magnification that will go up to 2,000 X. I can't wait to get it now, they said (before next Wed). I'll be able to really get a good picture of that red sucker/nematode whatever it is specien now.
It's called the: AmScope 40X-2000X Compound Vet Lab Microscope + 1.3MP USB Camera
I needed something easy (to set up that has video and pic capacity too) - and I'm so glad you mentioned the brand. I didn't know about them, so thank you!!

Well, toni, since you really like the quality of pics the amscope I have is taking, I think that when your new scope
arrives next week we should trade. ok? I'll pay the shipping costs. ok? Like you said-the new one has just "a bit"
higher magnification capability. You won't miss it. lol I took a look at your new scope-beautiful!
I'm looking forward to seeing what it "sees". Wow, I know you're gonna be enjoying it, especially after the difficulties
you've had lately. But even those difficulties didn't slow you down so I know you'll be showing us some excellent work.
Fun with m, right?

I wanted to post this (DEAL) because I really looked hard, didn't want to spend a lot, and of all the scopes out there that will easily video and take pictures, at a high magnification, this one seemed to be "the one". So the "foot work is done there" for anyone looking for a steal of a deal. But, of course it will be interesting to see how it works first. I woke up this morn, yippy yi yaying about it, "can't wait", I am excited also to see what I might see too under that kind of (mag). Thanks again.

Yes, all the little "details needed" to see the little details. Thank you! I do need this stuff, and I'm appreciative of your help. I sure know what you mean about all that. I've read a little about compound microscopes, and oblique, and oh....about a few. I learned too that 'oblique' lighting (shows topography moreso by shadowing) which also can be misleading because of the "shadows it casts". That was important, and interesting too for anyone looking at scopes or that has oblique lighting. And oh yes, I remember back when, getting the QX5, and knowing that anything over 200X I'd not know what I was looking at, because it's a whole different program/world under magnification. But now, bring on those conidia, or xylem, I'll know em when I see em. hehehe And yes, BO, the mexapixels are SO important, I'm hoping they'll be enough, right off I don't remember what that scope had. And thank you. I just went and looked to see what the pixels were, they're 1280x1024 pixel resolution. I see they have a 2500x magnification too, BUT...that one only has 900 pixels. I think this one I ordered will be okay at the 1280x1024. What a deal huh?

Look at one of the sentances's in Frito's article: For example, there is evidence of a significant association between the roundworm infection strongylosis and HTLV1 viral infections. There it is the HTLV1 we once discussed here. HTLV1 also came up with the Chagas and it will probably keep showing up with other agents we search thru. I think htlv1 is very connected to all of this.

Hi,
I tried to make a "new thread".... and I have no idea where it went. I posted it, so it went somewhere.
Anyone know how to make a new thread?
Thank you.
