YES - I have whole body edema and it is causing blood vessels to become both spider veins and varicose veins at an alarming rate. The pressure from the lymph fluid on the veins damages them and that makes the lymphatic build up worse -so it is a viscious cycle. ALso having both the circulatory system and the lymph system not functioning decreases the abiltiy to fight infection - the lympatics ARE basically for fighting infection and cancer and the blood vessels are supposed to be able to feed the whole area with nutrients and immune cells as well as remove waste.
THis is the thing with skin infection and edema. "They" recognize that microfilaria infections can clog up the lymphatics but why on earth are they so stupid to not know that ANY chronic infection -parasitic or otherwise, can do the same thing !?!!
I had the skin infections for years before the lymphedema became a real problem. It is very hard to treat and "manage" - they say it is not curable once it had caused the fibrous tissue to form all over - it is created by excess proteins in the lymphatic fluid - leaking into the other tissues ? Not clear on it exactly. DO not sotp eating proteins - it does not work like that. You NEED Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) by someone trained in it. Regualr massage is HARMFUL. Even light massage can damage the lymph vessels of someone with this problem. DO not cross your legs - I learned the hard way. Any crimping or extra pressure is very damaging.
I have a lot more to say about this - will come back to this thread later.

Yes. Especially around the ankles and chest area near neck.
Reddish purplish that LOOK like veins. But are they veins? Long hyphae of C. gotti perhaps. Nortwhest U.S. outbreak with mortatilities of C. gotti. Of course, it was all hush hush cover up.
Who do we blame for the C. gotti? Its vector may be felines but not completely sure.
It mimmicks rosacea but I don't think it is, rosacea theorized to be caused by mites. and its patterns are splotchy and sporadic.
I am going to post another thread concerning symptoms common among along with the edema that I bet you is common among us.

SPider veins start off pinkish/purple and then can become purplish - even darker when become like varicose veins. If you want to dtermine if what you have is screwed up veins - do they occur where you have a lot of edema ? It is a "natural" response to high pressure. The veins' valves get damaged and blood pools instead of moving.

liatris you are absolutely correct.
stressed capillaries and veins that won't let blood flow due to the swelling.
I have video from Q3 where a red bead half above half below the skin with a long dark fiber fading into the flesh.
The only pattern I could match this to was C. gotti, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and a couple of others that can't recall at this time.
I will add to list of videos to post of the bright red beads protruding from. Some single, others in a straight line cluster with what looks like small vine leaves between the beads.

Could it be that this thing needs and likes water so much it is creating its own aqueous environment by pooling fluids resulting in edema?

godog, BioSET is a way to eliminate allergies in one's body. we all have allergies because most of us, if not all of us have mycoplasma infections. It causes auto-immune illnesses.
I wasn't aware that I was allergic to anything yet it was causing many other issues than just coughing, sneezing ect..
The science behind it is amazing. Even my "real" doc was so impressed!!
If you click on my name and do a search, you can read through all of my posts..if you'd like.
I do alot of writing about BioSET therapy and how it saved my life.
I was dying, literally.
Had the morg's for 14 years and mycoplasma infection for God only knows how long.
BioSET saved my life. I try to help others with this info and daily, I am putting people in contact with practitioners, not only here in this forum but in others as well.
Someone saved my life with this info and now I am paying it forward my friend. ;D
PM me if you'd like

Could it be that this thing needs and likes water so much it is creating its own aqueous environment by pooling fluids resulting in edema? I do not think so - the edema is a result of clogged lymphatics (from the infection)and the blood pooling is damged blood vessels due too the pressure created by the edema.

I do not know if your lesions that weep are pus or lymph fluid, but I do know that lesions DO weep lymphatic fluid when the lympedema gets bad enough. MDs are grossly unaware of lymphedema.

For water retention or mild edema that comes and goes I juice 1 lemon & a cucumber and drink twice a day. It does it for me. Check out Dry Skin Brushing. One natural way to help the lymphatic system do it's job. Techniques may differ slightly but working from the extremities in towards the heart is important. Wouldn't recomend this on broken out skin. One site to give you an idea of the benefits. www.healsa.co.za/dryskin.htm JJ

March 8th 2008, is when my life turned upside down. And just yesterday, for the first time I noticed my ankles swollen, and now today I read the messages on swollen ankles. I have no heart problems, but to look at my ankles you would think so.

You are right about not doing slin brushing with damage/broken skin. Many years ago I did the skin brushing - but with areas of skin that is more infected and then other areas that are less infected - skin brushing towards the heart would be impossible. That would spread infection and irritate the lesions.

Many years ago I did the skin brushing - but with areas of skin that is more infected and then other areas that are less infected - skin brushing towards the heart would be impossible. Yes, drinking juice of cucumber and lemon is a diuretic and has helped with edema. A loved one with more severe edema (and congestive heart failure issues) than myself did the cucumber and lemon and it helped her as well. I forgot to mention drinking plenty of water while doing this is important to. Yes, the chance of spreading lesions or other skin infections should be a consideration before doing this. Not sure if I understood " skin brushing towards the heart would be impossible. That would spread infection and irritate the lesions." Did you mean spreading infection systemicly or were you just reffering to spreading or irratating lesions? I have not been able to find anything in reference to the possible spread of infection systemicly in reference to dry brushing. All research indicated that this should be done from the extremities in towards the heart based on the way the lymphatic system works in conjunction. Here's another article. Keep Your Skin Healthy and the Cellulite Goes Away By Terri David
Dry skin brushing is essential because the skin is the largest organ in the body, and is responsible for one-fourth of the body's detoxification each day. This also makes it, one of the most sources of elimination of toxins!
Toxicity can gather beneath the skin's surface from influences such as improper pH levels in soaps, creams and lotions, antiperspirants and deodorants as well as our environment in general.
When you do dry skin brushing you basically provide a lymphatic cleanse for your body. It works to lymph system to clean itself of the toxins that collect in the lymph glands. You use this simple technique to improve the circulation of the skin and stimulate the lymph glands. This also opens the pores of the skin, encouraging your body to discharge of metabolic wastes and toxins.
The Benefits of Dry Skin Brushing Your body will have an improved ability to combat bacteria, and you will help your skin to look and feel healthier and more resilient! TIGHTENS Skin. HELPS Digestion. Assists in reducing cellulite deposits. STIMULATES Circulation. INCREASES Cell Renewal. CLEANS Lymphatic System. REMOVES Dead Skin Layers, Tones and tightens the skin. STRENGTHENS Immune System. IMPROVES Exchange between Cells. STIMULATES the Glands. Stimulates better blood and lymph circulation for a lymphatic cleanse. Stimulates nerve endings in the skin while also energizing the nervous system.
What's the point of dry skin brushing? It will certainly enhance your skin and speed up cleansing. Remember that the skin is the largest eliminative organ of your body. But beyond that I recommend it was a lymph massage which also serves as a lymphatic cleanse. When lymph nodes swell, it indicates that they are working overtime to fight disease. In case of an uncontrolled infection, the lymphatics may act as an avenue to spread disease, providing direct access to the blood stream which can lead to severe poisoning of the body.
Unlike the circulatory system, the lymph system has no pump. The lymph system therefore needs exercise, muscle contractions and massage, which dry skin brushing provides.
Robert Gray, a well known nutritionist, says that five minutes per day of skin brushing is easily worth 30 minutes of vigorous physical exercise.
This issue is this: it is much better to clean out poisons from your body, rather than cutting out body parts that have been affected by many years of poisoning. Drugs cannot cleanse the body either.
In order to keep your skin clean and healthy, you should try to regularly indulge in dry skin brushing. Regular skin brushing can help to improve your skin health and it helps to stimulate lymph and blood circulation for the removal of impurities under the skin surface. This has the effect of enhancing the overall surface circulation of the skin.
Dry skin brushing speeds up the rate at which toxins are expelled from the body, because it motivates blood cells and lymph tissue, two key physiological detoxification avenues.
How To Do Dry Skin Brushing:
Purchase a NATURAL, NOT synthetic, bristle brush so it won't scratch the surface of the skin. Buy a brush with a long handle, so you're able to get to those hard to reach areas of your body. Do dry skin brushing, before showering or bathing, at least once per day, and twice, if possible. Do NOT wet skin, since it this stretches the skin. The body has to be totally dry and naked. Always brush lightly and gently and avoid broken skin, thread veins and varicose veins. ALWAYS skin brush towards the heart with a sweeping type motion not a scrubbing motion. Do circular counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen. For the rest of the body, brush clockwise in the morning as it is revitalizing and counter-clockwise in the evening as it is relaxing. Do circular strokes over and around breasts, but do NOT brush the nipples. Brush each part of your body several times, completely brushing your whole body. Brush the soles of the feet first, because the nerve endings there affect the whole body, next brush the ankles, calves, and thighs, then brush across your stomach and buttocks and lastly brush your hands to the arms. Always brush toward the hear. Take a warm bath or shower AFTER you skin brush, which should always be followed by a cool rinse at the end. Wash your brush every few weeks in water and let it dry. The skin is the largest eliminative organ of the body. Regular dry skin brushing removes dead skin cells and stimulates the skin to eliminate toxins more efficiently. This speeds up the internal cleansing of the body and reduces stress to the kidneys, lungs, and colon, which also assists in the elimination of waste.
Keeping Your Skin Healthy Dry skin brushing helps remove dead cells, stimulates circulation and lymph drainage. Poor lymph drainage is linked to cellulite, arthritis, hypertension and even depression. This practice keeps skin healthy and functioning well.
It can enhance the health of your whole system. Your skin will feel softer and your consciousness stimulated. The skin is the largest organ of elimination and discharges over a pound of waste products each day. Dry brushing in the morning helps support this process. (In traditional Chinese medicine the skin is seen as the third lung.) This five to ten-minute ritual feels wonderful, and inspires you to wake up and move into your day with a fresh countenance. Additionally, it is an excellent treatment for cellulite. JJ

Hi JJ -
Thank you for your reply.
I guess I really did not explain what I meant well at all.
For me, I know that my lesions are infections and if I were to brush up from my feet towards the heart, I would be brushing over infections that I can easily spread if I touch the wound and then touch good skin. So even if I were to brush over a wound without hurting it, I could never continue the brushing up the leg. I would contaminate the brush right from the start and spread it to good skin.
Regarding spreading the infection systemically - anytime, you have an open wound that is infected, the risk of getting the microbes into general blood circulation is pretty high. I have damaged heart valves and I know there is the issue of them getting worse via bloodstream infections. I am not even supposed to floss because a little nick in the gums opens up the blood to bacteria in the mouth. I would imagine that skin brushing through the wound would make it even more likely for the infection to get into the blood.
Seems the sicker you get, the less treatments (like skin brushing) you can do to help yourself.
I believe juicing is one of the best things a person can do for health. I am wondering how much your loved one with the congestive heart failure had to drink to notice an improvement with the edema ? My edema is really bad and whole body. May be due to CHF alsp. Is it half lemon - half cucumber ? How much did she have to drink and how often (approximately) to see some effect ?
Thanks, again.
