Frito,
Sorry for the delay. I've been really bad, but here goes:
I spoke with a homeopathic MD a few weeks ago who told me that I should buy an herb called Yamoa. He even supplied me with the telephone number (866) 883-8226. The cost is $49.99 including shipping and handling.
He gave me a brief history of Yamoa, as well as instructions. Mix the entire contents (30 grams) with one pound of honey, mix well and take one teaspoonful 3 times per day for 30 days. If necessary it could be repeated, but he doesn't believe that it will be necessary.
I have been taking it for under 2 weeks and there is a noticeable difference in my lungs already. I am also taking more than prescribed as my lungs have been diagnosed as being permanently infected and that my only hope is to try to keep my lungs from getting even worse.
Having been treated intravenously for my ailment and not having any discernible difference, I feel confident in this treatment, and quite frankly feel that I have nothing to lose.
I am, however, still taking my asthma meds.
I pray that this will help all of you.

I forgot. You can clean out your sinuses by using warm water mixed with salt. Could be tap water and table salt, I prefer either boiled water or distilled water with sea or table salt. You make the solution strong. For me, it needs to burn to be most effective. It will sting like the dickens under your eyes and everywhere else.
Inhale one tablespoonful in one nostril and hold in for at least 30 seconds. You will be able to tell when you need to let it out. Repeat with the other nostril. Blow your nose gently. Once again, you will be able to tell what is best for you. If successful, your nose will run. This can be repeated as necessary.
When I was working, I told a co-worker who was plagued with severe sinus problems, on antibiotics constantly, and still miserable. She tried this over the course of one weekend. The following Monday she thanked me because her sinuses were clear. She also told me that she made her solution so strong that it really burned.

Mortia - Thanks for mentioning the Yamoa. I just looked into some studies on it. I am disappointed to see that it has four steroid alkaloids in it. That may be why it helps the symptoms - but steroids suppress the immune system. Bummer. It does have antifungal and antimalarial effects too. I guess if you can take it and get rid of what you have and get off of it, that would be the way to go. If you have to keep taking it to feel ok, that may indicate that it is only decreasing inflammation with the anti-inflammatory effect of the steroid component. That would be just suppressing the symptoms. I dunno. It is tempting cuz breathing better is a good thing but immune suppresion is a bad thing.

Thank you very much Mortia and liatris..........I will try the salt water, but I can't buy another thing for awhile. I ran a fever again, but I am able to breathe better.....I either had a cold, or I had one hell of a herx. Doing much better today.

Frito, you are welcome.
Liatris, thank you for the info. I didn't know about the steroid alkaloids in it. I have to say, however, that I have been on 40 mgs of prednisone per day forever, as mentioned previously my immune system is shot and this, to me, is infinitely better. I am now down to 10 mgs of prednisone which is bad, but I believe that the Yamoa with some of its bad components is still better than the junk that has been enabling me to breathe but killing me.
I will post with the effects, good and bad, if any and will give a true account of the Yamoa as it relates to me.
Once again, thanks for the info.
Oh, I forgot, the doctor said that the Yamoa should heal me.

Still using Yamoa, for approximately 3 weeks, and my lungs have been improving steadily.
I was using my inhaler about 4 times per day and I am now down to about 10 times per week.
