Jill, you must get to bed. And, I as well, because I took my sleeping pill, & it makes me goofy. I just wrote a long post, asked if y'all had seen Steve Frye's site, went to get the address, & lost my post. stevefrey.wordpress.com/transformation-translation-transcription-conjugation-and-dna-replication/Well, there it is. Said thanks to gertie for her encouragement. If we all did "looks like yours," maybe we'd get a quicker identification, We need to be ready in case the CDC doesn't come through for us. Hopefully the goo is associated with the morg, so we won't have to figure that one out. If we're dealing with some kind of nematode - sp? we ought to figure that out lickedy split. That just takes more "looks like yours'. Hopefully the goo is associated. i liked what Steve said on his first page re: I forgot, but, ha ha it was related to the continuing reproduction of this thing, making more, &doing it over, & over, & over. I hope the goo is not some far out thing not associated with this, so we can get on with the cure. lol By the way, all my morgs have at least one fiber in all my pictures. Ivahole, yours looks like the s.c. as well. My first post was so much better, must go do my zzzzzzzzzzz's. Been goofy a while now. bedtime hugs, freaky

[glow=red,2,300]FREAKY....please look at this![/glow] Here is your (specimen) above pictured. The TRUNK looks pinkish. I was reading this morn, about SEA SLUGS with (trunk like extensions) so they can literally suck up/vacuum up their food! It's called (on many critters too) the proboscis. But "particular sea slugs" ALSO have these! I was reading this person's post with the UNKNOWN CRITTER back in 2003. Here's some of their post: Unknown Critter 12/9/03 Hey there crew I got a problem here. about a month ago I noticed a odd looking creature on my LR. It is a snail like creature, it has a half shell on its back which is pink and white, it moves pretty fast moving around like a slug, <sounds like a Stomatellid... harmless as we know> now the weird part is its feeding mechanism, it looks just like a elephants trunk it feeds just like a vacuum cleaner its trunk is attached to the rock with another type of mechanism going up and down inside the trunk. Now whether or not this has anything to do with anything...I don't know, but it sure got my attention when he was talking about the PINK and WHITE with the long trunk aparatus part and THAT is what reminded me of your specimen picture here.
More in the (post) link below: www.wetwebmedia.com/snailidfaq2.htmAnd, this article talks about SEA SLUGS/Molluscs with the long "vacuum" thingie!!!!!!!!en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proboscis

Thanks so much for giving Steve's link freaky. I was totally impressed and understood everything so much more than I did when reading his threads here. I've gotta say his theory makes more sense to me now than anything has so far. I'm truly amazed!
big hugs ~~ bannanny
