[glow=red,2,300] Sunday 11-08-09[/glow] Just 72 hours later, (my petri dish) this has grown enormously into some major fluffy cottony looking stuff. Part of the petri dish "with the cottony fibers that extend upwards" is all peppered with black spores at the tips. Be back with the pic, it's incredible in this short of time this has grown.

((( My petri dish this morning on Sunday ))) at the 72 hour mark. These dark specks (spores) are on the tips of the cottony growths. About 1/4 of the petri dish now has these covering the tops. This is all in approx 72 hrs (actually less time than that) all from just some tiny little (salt granule size pickings) from within the lesion tunnel in my face.

yes, it does look similar with the naked eye.
the 2nd culture..........half of the tray is getting dark colored. i sure wish you guys were able to get a pic of the spore things.
although i have weak equipment.........anyone who wants to send their dish to me to have it photoed..........i will do it.
better yet, send it into the lab for identification of species.

OMG!!!
This is fantastic! We sure "sheck" are growing the exact looking stuff ( as Ruth said) to the naked eye, it sure does look the same.
The white cottony fluff, with the tiny spores at the tips!
Wow, thank you!!!
I'll get some close up's with my scope of these spores too, and see if they look like yours also.
THANK YOU ALL.

I think this is Jeany's dish, Suz. Jeany, what kind of culture medium did you use?
Thanks!

Sid,
I've modified my petri dish explanations above ((( because these pictured with me holding the petri dish with gloves on IS my petri dish))) I'm blown away at how fast this has grown.
Less than 72 hours I've got ALL this growth.
Is this UNREAL or what.
Wait till you see this stuff UP CLOSE! Oh....I'm ...excited.

OMG! This is my petri dish UP CLOSE and personal of those spores!! AHHHHHHH!!!! Cherry balls galore! Look how these (cherry ball spores are clear, then they mature in just hours and turn dark). be back with more pics

My petri dish (growth) did ALL this in just one night (since yesterday) it spouted ALL these cherry ball spores. See how they're "clear"? Those are the new ones, and they turn dark after a few hours! AHHHHHH!!!

Okay...what I've done is: Criss crossed two human blonde hairs so you can see the size of these "cherry balls" and how tiny they really are! They're approx the size of a width of a human hair. I'm pointing also with a needle on the lower right. See the hairs (criss-crossed)? These spores ARE so minute! These photo's I'm taking are at 60X magnification. Oh boy...do these fibers "multiply too". It's got me wondering if these could be our clearish fibers? See how fine they are in comparison also to a human hair? Many times thinner they are. And the rate of growth of this stuff is absolutely amazing! One can watch this growing, seriously....it's that FAST.

WHAT IS THE NAME OF IT, JEANY? (She's holding out on us... keeping us in suspense...) Here's a recent photo of a blood smear from the finger, straight into a Petri Dish from someone with Morgellons, this is day 18 of the culture at 100x:

Is the image you posted Kammy showing up for you?
I'm sorry, I only see a red X.
I'd sure love to see it. Thank you!
Oh....just came back, there it is (the picture Kammy)
Thank you!!
Those sure look like Ruths with the center holes. And like Kabatova's pictures there of the spores, because they have the "scalloped like edges" too.
Mine look pretty smooth, like cherries would.

Nope! Kam..that's not it! ;D..it looks like Aspergillus niger to me. See how the spores (conidia) look kind of like flowers? Here's a pic of AN: Aspergillus Niger is definitely IMO in the mix too. We were able to positively identify it, right? Jeany

Kammy your picture of your specimens above looks just like mine imho. I just now took this (within the last 5 minutes). I DO have the scalloped edges on the center spores. These spores are GALORE in the middle of the petri dish. They're 'scallopy' on the sides like yours and Ruths! And that Aspergillus Niger Jeany? Thank you!!!!

Not really, Jeany. We're seeing that everyone has had Aspergillus in their home test lab kit results prior so far... that's all we have to go on - it, and Cladosporium, I believe - is this correct?
Do we need to find where people have posted their past lab results and put them in this thread?
