Copies from my reply to Barb, on her "Sleeping Giant Thread" where she tells of our meeting yesterday for a joyful birthday lunch, our first, and our mysterious visit to the ladies room...Where else but in Morg Land  (and thank you Jeany for your generous welcome "home." Your killer kitty icon is my all time fave! You and Kammy rock too, our machine gun totin advocate chicks (said with enormous respect)! Never mess with a woman who's 'packing heat,' a US gangsta' movie expression...as in, Jimmy Cagney with a blazing tommy gun.) Dearest Barb, It was GLORIOUS to meet you, as I PM'd last nite, and YES memorable for me in so many ways. What a woman, you are, our Morgellons Margaret Bourke White and Madame Curie of Morgellons! I wrote a long newsy B day greeting earlier this afternoon and somehow lost it but in brief, it was uniquely a Morgie kind of meeting. After instantly bonding with tears of joy, and savoring each other even more than our long lovely lunch, we discretely sipped into the ladies lounge, where the spacious handicap stall had a generous vanity. While I normally dont drop my drawers on a 1st date, I was eager to have you advise whether my abdominal "sleeping italian sausage", (or SIS henceforth) while not nearly a giant a giant is a ropy abdominal swelling Ive had for about 6 month, palpable at night when I lie down, is anything like your sleeping giant. You were too kind to spread your coat so I could lie back across the vanity and let you palpate my abdomen. You found the shy little bugger and sure enough, it's a ropy SIS. I confirmed the similar texture when I gave you "a feel" (strictly medical, you smutty thinkers out there) and knew instantly that our invaders are at least cousins. Now that we've each "copped a feel," we're soul sisters for SURE! At age 62, its been a looooong time since Id hoped anyone would get into MY pants, girl, and who better than you! The 15 MDs who preceded you there were USELESS! Can a civilian win the Nobel Prize for Medicine? If so, you are there, in Stockholm, as soon as your team of world class MD experts identify or at least describe and authenticate your Sleeping Giant, which without your meticulous research and photo documentation would still be considered a delusion! You got their attention Barb and now they do know who you are! I an so proud of your courage and your relentless pursuit of the truth and so very grateful you are our beloved Mother Superior, in the best possible way! Soon, you will have the glorious change to gloat at all the denialist MDs, when you get to shove the experts opinions down their throats, or maybe even up a few other orfices, whatever your pleasure... It was the BEST of days, but, how did I miss that yesterday was THE very B'day??? Id have had the restaurant singing to you had my Morgie mind grasped that! More hugs and kisses, you gorgeous thing! Dear Bananny and Flo, Thank you both for your birthday wishes, but I don't believe I am worthy of your kudos...save them for someone who solves this miserable disease! Then we can ALL celebrate our findings! And Blabbermouth Flo, I so enjoyed our discrete meeting in the handicapper too...  ...but seriously, you do HAVE a cousin to my Sleeping Giant, that's for sure! I'm sorry you have this horrific monster living inside you as well. Folks, please listen to your body, and check for anything that sounds like what I've described previously. I know toni has one, Kammy was starting one, and who else out there??? I am sure that Flo's SIS is VERY similar to mine...the 'feel' is so unique that it can't be missed! Our meeting was a joy for me, to have met such a wonderful, compassionate soul, in the flesh - and received the tender hugs and tears that make us both sisters forever. Dear rhorn, Jen and toni, Thank you for remembering...I DID have a special day! If we could all meet just one of our fellow morgies one day, it would be a day you'd never forget! KmarieBarb, The cake above was "baked" by Toni. However; it is from last year because no one ate it. It has been frozen and thawed out for this year. You know kind of like freezing the top tier on a wedding cake and eating it on the couple's first Wedding Anniversary. Just wanted to give credit where it is due for the beautiful cake to Toni! |

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! I just love the cake Kmarie! Wish I could eat it right now!!! My 'Sleeping Giant' is awake and screaming for food! Kept me up all night long, so I'm not putting anything in there for him to munch on, 'cept me! Am hoping that most of them leave today so I can be in court tomorrow with Becky. Wish me luck!
