Well ...... JWF, Second year student beginner ....... I believe you can add a brilliance where it may be lacking. Watching two different moxibustion procedures on "The Doctors" was facinating and so was the reaction of the Dr's and the audience. Thank you for chiming in further and tweaking my interest even more. Mugwort used in the practice of acupuncture is interesting. Why this herb ...... do you think? Can you point to a good reliable resource to better understand the backbone of Chinese medicine and it's terminology, including modern advancements? Attempts to find a good resource have been fruitless. It's understandable (to a degree) how too much Sauna or detoxing too quickly could do harm. We didn't become ill in a day and won't become well in a day either. Illness tends to be a progression to a more recognizable disease state. Recovery and wellness should be seen in reverse. It's best to understand how most things work to be able to grasp disease and recovery (if possible). So, Yes thank you for your wise words of caution. JJ

Flo,
I won't impose ethics on anyone. Personal experience is all that can be shared. What anyone ends up abiding by is just that a personal decision.
I went through the fear of exposing others for a long time. That experience has to be the most horrific. THAT experience, IMHO is what is so hard for the unaffected community to grasp and completely understand. It is physically and psychologically devastating and health in general takes a greater toll because of it. On an even more personal note, I love children and will go through life childless. It's hard to be in the presence of a child or talk about them without tearing up. Fear of exposing children was the worst.
Now 'that fear' is parked in the back and common-sense caution is applied in it's place. I don't shed like I used to and I don't weep as much as I did. I don't "light up a room" like I used too when chose to keep myself isolated. People no longer scratch or look for the culprit in my presence. It wasn't till I felt confident in a decrease of possible modes of contagion that I joined a gym. When I went to the gym I wore gloves most of the time. If I noticed moisture when I got off a machine I wiped it down. I usually did not work up a sweat at the gym. We also have some equipment at home. We have our own infrared sauna and enough background knowledge to safely use it.
I'm sorry you put so much into this with little result.
JJ

If I would of wrote it I would of said the same thing--- Thanks for doing all the work for me JJ ;D

I love what you said too toni... about our "little fellas!" You also made it all so easy to understand as to how our cells thrive... thank you for that explanation! It's so cool when things make sense to me!
I gotta say I think the same way you do wally about not wanting to leave a morg trail behind me. But even tho I still tend to live that way... it's pretty much been proven to me that our "morg trail" isn't gonna be what infects others. Mine hasn't infected mom or any of my friends... yet I see it infecting the environments they live in just from my being in it. But still not a one of them feels this thing... which I'm so very grateful for. I believe if you're gonna get morgs you're gonna get it... and becuz of what I've seen NOT happen to others around me makes me have to believe it's not contagious in that respect. It's confusing tho and hard to accept becuz the feelings of morgs are so intense, it makes it hard to think I'm not contaminating others... but I'm not. I loved what JJ said too ant... about fear being parked in the back now and common sense, caution is applied in its place. Very good analogy girl!!
I also used an infrared pad on my bed for 2 years ruth. Doraisabel gave it to me to use cuz she had another kind that she was using. Then she relapsed and needed it back, so I sent it back to her. I can't say it did much for me either cuz I never noticed any difference when I stopped using it. I think it all boils down to us finding what works best for our own individual needs. My friend Carola (used to post here as "life") bought an infrared sauna that she put on her deck outside. I can't remember exactly what she paid for it but it was around 2-5,000 dollars. She's been using it for a few years now, sometimes twice a day and has been doing ok, but she did have a real heavy attack come on about 6 months ago. So I can't say if infrared actually gets rid of morgs, but it seems to help just like all our supplements seem to help when we find the ones that work best for each of us.
I don't think any of the other forms of wavelength type usage, like microwaves, cell phones, computers, etc. can in any way be good for us tho. I think all the so called EMF's are interferring with our normal body functions. How can they not be ya know?
I tried acupuncture once JWF... it was before I gave in to the spinal surgery and was trying everything I could to bypass having it done. But I had a bad reaction... they stuck tons of needles in my back and once they finished the procedure I couldn't even get up off the bed. I was in so much pain for 4 days after the fact that I swore I'd never do it again... and I never have and don't care to try again either. Do you maybe have an idea as to why I reacted that way?
love ya's ~~ bannanny

PS, I was just thinking about something in regards to "our cells". So I thought I'd post this too. Because we are "made up of cells"...if we think of doing a few things "for our cells" as I always like to refer to them as: Our Little Guys ;D Well...sometimes (what helps me keep on track in a fun way is) Understanding that our little guys (cells) need attention so they work hard for us. I think of how they need water (to keep clean) - which can only happen by us drinking lots of water daily. ;D And fresh veggies so we don't choke them to death with junk. I think about how best to ( protect ) them from toxins in the body- and that is with antioxidants. And how to keep them alive - is by giving them lots of air - which we do each time we breathe deeply and or exercise. And they love being refreshed/recharged/rejuvenated, so they don't get lazy on us - and that's by stimulating them (and a great way is either heat therapy like the FIR or Light therapy that stimulates with pulsed heat. ;D Silly way to think about our little fella's but, it helps in understanding what really is useful for better health. Toni, haha..I found that rather cute the way you described that all. I can see you writing a book: 'Molecular Biology for Kids'....lol...very nice! Jeany

Ant, you do more than your share of hard work and are greatly appreciated Your way of communicating so many things with a picture and with humor always brings on a smile. I still see different things in your chicky kitty image. Thanks Toni, you do have a way with words. Thank you Ruth and Bannanny thanks for sharing your experiences with the pad. JJ

;D Thank you girls! I'm glad you liked the "little fella's/guys" way I think about them. (I do too).
It all takes on a different view that way (our parts) and then it helps in maintaining and taking care of them.
Jeany, hahah yeah! That's kind of neat - a childrens book for an easy way to grow up understanding "cells" from the get-go, for instance, and what they like and need to keep us healthy and feeling good. ;D

My diagnosis were (and still are) Spinal Canal Stenosis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. I had surgery for the Stenosis and altho they wanted to do surgery on my neck as well, I declined after only feeling some relief from the 1st surgery for not even a year. There isn't that much I can do about all... I don't take any kind of script anymore either. I use only herbal supplements and take aspirin or ibuprophin for the pain. Most of my joints have been effected now... especially in my knees, ankles, feet and hands. So that's what I can tell you about it... and yes, the acupucturist I went to went wild with the needles in me!! I went with my ex mother-in-law and they put less than half of the needles in her back that they put in mine! But all in all, it was a bad experience for me and one I don't want to experience again!

Modified bec. I must have been brain-dead with all the incoherent "cut and paste" errors, when IO first posted this! DUH!
JJ, Thank you so very much for opening your most tender heart and sharing your wisdom! I too thought Id have a houseful of "fat happy brats," I say, but I have none. Your openness touches me to the core. I too have no children of my own, and that is the greatest loss in my life, including Morgs. I honor your courage and your grace, for sharing something so deeply personal. My heart is with you JJ. I know some of what you feel. and it aint easy. (I woulda been a a world-class mama, too, as you so clearly would have!) Since I share that path, too, with you, I feel I can say, without trivializing your loss, that WE are in a very fundamental way your children now, and I honor the loving support you so wisely give. And, ANT, I love your humor , your pics and your cut to the chase attitude! What a team! Flo

JWF, Thank you so much for that link on the spectrum. I believe that is world we would all benefit from learning about. Frequency and light frequency even though we are not aware of them or cannot sense them still effects our bodies and brains. The fact that we do not sense them does not mean they do not interact with us. It just means that our sensors(eyes, brain nerves, immune systems, cells) were not built to pick up on it.
