Hi Folks, And the story continues...I've not been well for awhile with lesions sprouting all over my hands, feet, legs and now the torso...with pustular lesions everywhere morgs lesions are. Now, I've had pustular psoriasis before (about 30 years now) and it's a rare form of psoriasis. I went through the Accutane and Soriatane protocols for both drugs at Duke. Was on the Soriatane for more than 15 years, then graduated to Remicade Infusions because the lesions wouldn't stop. Then along came Morgellons! Now I have BOTH! Morgellons lesions and pustular psoriasis lesions, together in the same areas. To say this is horrendous is an understatement! The pain is excruciating, the lesions are leaking a yellowish/green non-microbial pus that hardens on the skin. What is coming out of the pus is what's interesting....not microbial, but morgs fibers! I've included on here, but in the next photo, you will see the evidence of our "true morg" fiber - the dark blue worm...very evident in all of our samples. I showed the next photo to my doctor and he said, "Yes, it certainly appears to look like a worm"..."Are they always present?" "Yes", I said...and sent him at least 10 different photos with this same specimen. Bottomline, if I don't get these lesions cleared/treated very soon, I could be in danger of losing BOTH legs! I am also a diabetic, so these lesions are causing significant tissue damage. Therefore, I will be re-starting the REMICADE treatments again! That is the treatment that gave me Tuberculosis!!! However, after he checked with other specialists, they agreed that this was the lesser of all evils (morgs NOT withstanding) or I could get gangrene and amputation would be the only option! MRSA could also be another complication if microbial infection showed its ugly face! So, now, CDC, how do I save my legs??? Where is your damned report to SAVE US ALL??? Since you have not given us any information regarding this disease, how many of us will have to face the possibility of death, amputation, and loss of a viable way of life before you get your act together and give the medical community some answers to deal with this killer disease??? All you are doing is "passing the buck" from one department to another to save your face, when those of us who are suffering from this horrendous, disfiguring disease are dropping like flies? I want an answer, if not for me and the rest who suffer, then for those who will follow in our path. Your way of doing business is less than acceptable, we'd be fired from our jobs if we did business your way!!! But then, you have the protection of working for the government and it's difficult to get terminated there! We, however, are being "terminated" permanently every day in one sense or another! Most of all, we are being "terminated" by the medical community throughout the world, because you, the CDC, will not give any answers to protect us! If that's not your job, than what is??? Dying piece by piece, CTBarb Attachments:

Barb, I'm terribly sorry what you're going through, and I can imagine the fear, having an infection that no one can knock out. I feel the same way about those people at CDC too. I'm praying something helps Barb.

Barb, I've got a short video here from June 2010 of the same looking dark blue (cobalt blue) fibers. Whether mine are exactly the same as yours or not, there's no way to know, but...they look the same to me. They're extremely fine, finer than a human hair as you'll see at the end of this video, I have a hair laid across my slide to compare the size of these blue utra fine fibers. The cobalt blue fibers are also sort of "waxy" imho, like they're wax coated or something. They're also ribbony, meaning: they're flat like. I have very carefully in this video, taken one and smashed it, and it began to come undone, like a "thread would". Please see how it "shreds apart" in this video. These fibers by the viewing on the video are sooooo fine, they're almost impossible to see without magnification, as will be shown "next to the human hair". Imagine, a flat fiber, many times thinner than a human hair, which is how fine these are, so you can imagine how difficult this was to separate one fiber, as I wanted to see if it "would shred" and it did. It's just interesting is all that we all seem to have this same color. Here it is - please see to the end of it, as it will seem like it stops but, it doesn't, I was just adjusting the hold on this fine tipped needle. tinypic.com/player.php?v=117a592&s=7If you can take your needle and smash the blue fiber, you'll see, it might be the same with many more fibers. Just put a bit of something like water, or syrup (sticky) on your slide when trying to smash it, as that will help loosen the bind...and it also will hold the fiber in place while trying to smash it. They're just so darn small, they're very hard to work with.

Hi Folks, I'm up this late because the stinging on the top of my foot was unbearable! I could see that there was a whitish coating on the foot that appeared to be moving! I began rubbing the area with my finger and a mass of white fuzzy fiber began to appear on the tip of my finger. The more I rubbed, the more of this fuzz appeared! When put under the scope, they were moving, so much so that it was difficult to get a clear picture! Here are some pix that are clearer than others...these are NOT fibers...they appear to be some sort of living creature! Looks like the configuration of some type of worm...or filaria. This will certainly keep one up for the rest of the night! This specimen appears to have come out of the multiple lesions on top of the foot...could it be the dried pus that leaks out constantly? If so, why haven't I noticed this most obvious before? What else can happen??? I'm afraid to sleep wondering just what will be there in the AM. CTBarb Attachments:

ctbarb, I've seen similar many times - sometimes fibers grow into a ball or a mess like your photos above - the reddish part being the gel - looks like you've photographed the clear translucent fibers here. Yep I wonder if this is a living parasite, or if it is a chemical reaction, or a DNA change...I wonder why no one can figure it out? I _think_ what you found is just more gel and fibers, probably not an insect. But who knows what it really is? Have you tried MSM sulphur before ctbarb?

Hey Barb, didn't see this thread until today. I've been diagnosed with psoriasis also and I have the pustular and other type too. I've been reading about psoriasis and it's not a good thing to have. Mine isn't as bad as yours yet, I can testify that this is a horrible disease and to have Morgellons with it... oh boy! no party.
I am showing some improvement and I think it's the Epsom Salt. So, it won't hurt to try - drink 2 teaspoons in 8 oz of water daily (it says we can drink up to 10) and take a bath in it. If you shower, then make a water/epson salt mix in a bowl and take some paper towels and dip it in it and lay those on your lesions and leave it for a little bit.
I'm using a zinc oxide cream afterward and some infrared light after bathing. I rub the zinc oxide into the skin under the infrared light, it's a simple bulb like an outdoor security light size, nothing elaborate.
If the epsom salt going to help - you can tell right away, you will see results in a day or two.
I'm drinking more tea than coffee now... one of these might help you too... I hope. Love you - hope you get better with something soon.

Thanks everyone for your comments... Kam, you have pustular psoriasis? It is unusual to get that type...it's rather rare. I've had it for more than 30 years now, and I've tried every trick in the book and some that aren't written yet! The only thing that worked for awhile was the Remicade infusions...but the side effects are troubling...TB, fungal infections, lymphatic cancer, etc. BUT, I will be on it again, I can't walk any longer, and the tissue on my hands and feet have been destroyed. Amputation isn't something that I can live with, so the side effects will be nothing compared to that. Am waiting for a call now from the Dr. to get a date to start the infusions...there's nothing else that can be done in my case...it's way too far gone. If it's going to work, I'll know in a month or so...until then, it's feet UP and lots of rest...and pain meds. I also had several months of Cobalt 60 radiation in the 80's...that did work for awhile, then it was back like I'd never had it! It's an insidious disease too, but to have Morgs with it, is a whole new story! Good luck, Sister! Love to all, ctbarb

Hi Barb-this is just awful. You are in my thoughts and prayers and when oh when is that CDC going to get off their lazy butts while we suffer so. I am so sorry you are not able to walk now. Is their hope with the remicide that you will gain the strength to walk? Its truly apalling we have been swept under the rug and I pray to god there will be a change and soon! I love you and hope you are getting the rest you need and staying as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. Love, ibzahp

"Kam, you have pustular psoriasis?" Yes, I think so. I have blister-like psoriasis lesions that have a wet or mostly dry material around the edges that makes the lesion area spread out from this 'pus' material touching a surrounding area of uninfected skin - like how poison ivy spreads. I think it's all Morgellons lesions myself - I think psoriasis and eczema are catch-all places to keep our disease hidden. I'm reading about 'the heartbreak of psoriasis' - which is literally true. I am getting worse all the time Barb, I hear that your case is much more advanced than mine and I cannot phantom how you have dealt with it all these years? You must be one tough cookie, I'm praying and thinking good thoughts your way. To describe what those with lesions are living... 36% of people with psoriasis believe they are contagious (does that sound familiar?), we withdraw from our social networks, family, and become reclusive. We suffer from depression, sleep disorders... let me find a site link, so many of the symptoms are similar to what we've been hearing in others. Hi Toni, Do you have a still of the blue and red fibers? I'm going to make a fiber video. I always feel it will take so much time I can't possbily do it by myself but it is time to let people know what these things are. The blue fibers are one of the most seen. I'll start with that. I posted the information here but people really don't like to read as much as I do so I'll use mostly pictures.
