Hi all
Going to the Dr. tomorrow to get approved to see a hip doc. Been less then a year sense last ex rays and I think I need to get looked at. Hip has spent a lot of time being out of place. While there hubby wants me to show Dr. my inner leg lesions that I have had for almost 2 years and never gotten rid of them. So do not put much hope into getting any real results. Also need more ear antibiotics. At times my ears go through a run with a wiggly worm that digs and bites inside the ear and inner ear will bleed if I do not kill them. This new Dr. does not give out the prescription they way my ole Dr. did. He would order me 3 times refill and kept me supplied. This Dr. wants proof there is something wrong and no refills. So out again. Money grabbing Kaiser. I do not like Kaiser.
Next thing: On Dr. Oz last Tuesday they had a show about the heavy metals in vitamins and the product not even being valid in the herb or vitamin. They had a man on who runs a web site that list which vitamins and herbs have the full content of what it says it has and no heavy metals. Most of the vitamins have the heavy metals. Well the guys web site wants a fee to see his list. I wonder if we could get Dr. Smith at his web site on GMO to run a list so we could see what we are buying. Think tomorrow that may be my task if not to overwhelmed with Dr. visit.

Hi Lynn, I hope all goes well with your doctors appointment.
You know, I saw a female doctor last week for my 2 yearly pap smear. I was rather shocked at her lack care for contamination of the smear slide & tools. She never put gloves on to touch the slide & she placed it on the most contaminated area of her desk - in front of the keyboard.
This is the worst part - she opened the packet of tools - spatula & brush - she dropped them on the floor, which was carpet, right where her feet had been. She picked them up off the floor & didn't bat an eye lid. I think she could see my face, with my jaw on the floor. I had said to myself, as I saw her struggling with the wrapper of the tools, "what if she dropped them on the floor"....
I may have to do a repeat, as the smear is probably contaminated.

Ohh Itchen
Not good. I would come off the table unglued if she had dropped it after opening the package. At least you did not have to find out. I would get rid of her quick sense she handle specimens so carelessly. She works for you. You paid her to do a job and she messed it up. That was your money she treated so carelessly as to contaminate your specimen. Grrr.....

Yes Lynn, it's outrageous. I know you understand, I was toooo scared to say anything at the time. She's a replacement until I can see my own doc. She works at the same clinic, so I must be very careful not to make waves. I plan to speak to my doc about this, as I feel a complaint to the practice manager could inflame the situation for me.
