I have to wear a wig when I leave the house because I don't have any hair. I have bought quite a few over the years because they seem to get infected with the disease. I have tried washing them with many different combinations of soaps, etc. , Borax, salt, T-gel shampoo, Dawn dishwashing liquid and so on. I have tried spraying inside of the cap of the wig with anti-fungal sprays and also spraying my head. I have tried wearing a cover over my head but have not found an acceptable way to make a barrier between my head an the wig. I use a sticky tape roller to comb the wig inside and out before I wear it each time to pick up any loose fibers, etc. and I trim off any of the hairs that look weird. The hairs that are infected look like a corkscrew spiral and when I pull them out they have many more hairs attached.
Every time I wear one of the wigs, I begin to feel the crawling sensation and it is not my imagination!! The fibers from the wig penatrate my skin and always seem to migrate towards my eyes. So it always manages to kill any chance I had of enjoying myself for awhile or visiting with friends and family.
If you have any advice or suggestions I would be so grateful!! I don't go out if the house more than twice a month but I look forward to being somewhat normal fir a little while. God Bless us All!!
Luv U Guys, susiq

I sympathize with you but I have a real funny feeling the wig is not attacking your scalp but your scalp may be reacting to the cover, the clamping on the head cutting down possible blood flow.
For example, there was a time very early on that when I laid down I would itch so bad I wanted to rip my skin off.
The itching was most likely to affect the inside of my ears so bad I would use a long key or nail head to relieve the itch, the itching was literally TO DIE FOR.
If the intensity would have stayed exactly the same, I would not be here right know, it was just too prolific.
Anyway, several people have blamed their beds, I am sorry, it is not the bed, bugs do not run inside my ears when I lay down, still there has to be a trigger and I believe that trigger has to be connected to the flow of blood.
We are the disease generator, it is not prudent to imagine that the entity lives better outside the disease generator than inside it.
We are a teaming infestation of what I do not know.
I have to wonder the condition of your head, does it have all open lesions or is the head covered completely with skin.
I myself too a very hard road to eliminate these things from under the skin, first I exposed them then did my best to destroy the living matter.
These hidden from sight lesions that I exposed with GSE GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT and 35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, had material inside that LOOKS exactly the same as the material in CHERRY ANGIOMA (senile angioma) and I am betting these hidden or open lesions are exactly this.
For some reason they have been able to propagate inside the body, inside the brain and on the skin.
The lesions/TUMOR like growth are what I think grows the fibers out of them, maybe I am wrong, that is a possibility as I never tested or inspected for this.
I was on a killing spree, kill kill kill the invader before it killed me.
Well, I am fine RIGHT NOW but you never know when I will need maintenance.

I have pulled hairs out of my forehead that definately came from my wig!! Since I don't have any hair, where else would a long blonde hair come from?this has been happening to me for about 8 years and I am determined to figure out how to stop it or prevent it from happening!! I will not let this disease takeone more thing from me!!

Here is what many people have experienced, including me.
You will feel a spider web like feeling on your face, this comes from nowhere it seems, you can not see this but you can feel it. It seems like this stuff grows out of you like in a flash, still it can not be seen.
Many people have seen also the long spindly hairs that grow out of them extra long, very fine.
I shave my head now and some of the hair grows like it is on steroids, as well them may be from all the crap that's put in our meat and food.
When I came home from the service my hair was the first to go, I was not more than 21.
I can not explain the odd attributes of this disease still they happen.
There are many odd instances with this malady,
I do hope you can gather yourself together, I know the disease sucks, I have it also, it is the pits, and I am sorry anyone is suffering from it, wish I could help all of them.

Because of your issues with your head I revisited my problems with a head shave and a treatment of 35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE.
I could see after the shave the hidden lesion spots, also in the shaver was all the lint fuzz like stuff.
Got out my trusty 35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, you notice it is not 3% brown bottle store brand, it is 35% and the application lit my head on fire.
You can now see where all of the crap is living.
Have you ever seen old bald men with splotches all over their heads, the splotches I believe is this.
I have noticed lately that my head has been just a bit greasy, this is the same sort of grease cradle cap exudes.
We beat cradle cap off when we are young, what I surmise is this, the invader (DISEASE) beats our immune system to death over time by overworking it, so we age prematurely.
Whatever causes cradle cap is with us all our lives, yes our immune system recognizes it but it can not keep it in check. It manifests because it can, the same exact way shingles do if you had chicken pox when you were young.
You do know we have a upswing in this also don't you, or do you not pay attention to any of the rising attributes of disease symptoms that are not yours.
ANYWAY, I saw my tormenter the other day, now I will keep it at bay for a time, destroy its love of my scalp for a time with a few applications, heck I may even use the GSE again, I so despise doing this, it is pure hell, but my restore, it lasts for a very long time!!

Ah susiq I know how you feel about the lack of energy and optimism. I have no words of wisdom about the wig problem. because my natural hair is a problem. This thing is such a mystery I no longer try to figure it out. I no longer look through any magnification. Im convinced it would throw me over the edge mentally again. You asked how others are coping with this and the echo was so loud I had to respond. I try to live as normally as possible. I still have problems with showers they still scare me. But other than that i try not to let it consume my mind. My bad eyesight might be a blessing. Have you tried a silk scarf instead of a wig? A pretty scarf tied nicely with some nice earrings maybe? Don't let it stop you from going out. People will think you just had chemo or something. Some medication will cause hair loss also. So dont be ashamed go out enjoy your famiily and friends
