traderjosie,
I think your approach makes sense. This stuff is multifaceted and relentless and a dose or two may knock it back but I think we are in for a long haul to really get rid of it, a long haul using multiple medications on a rotation schedule. Horses are treated this way for parasites.
I have discovered I need to take Ivectermin once every three-four months or I start loosing progress and I notice way more floaters in my eyes. I take the Doxycycline everyday. What ever it is killing it isn't killing it completely because if I stop the Doxy within 3 days I start to haved a worsening of symptoms with weakness and pain in my legs.
I have to rotate topical treatments as well. My lesions had almost cleared up completely but then they came back big time on my face. I had to use Ivectermin with DMSO topically for a few days gave it a few days break and then used oxybendazole topically for a few days. I used Lamasil for a couple of days. Then I used food grade hydrogen peroxide on the lesions (undiluted). Also dosed the lesions with tea tree and lavender essential oils almost daily and have been using infrared light every other day on my face.
A couple of days later I took a bath into which I added 3 cups of clorox bleach, I made sure that the lesioned areas were well soaked with the clorox water. I have done the clorox bath thing twice this week.(I don't recommend staying in a clorox bath more than 10-12 minutes and it should be a coolish bath, not hot, also clorox baths should not be done too often as clorox is toxic)
All the above in addition to using Zia Pumpkin peel, clay mask w apple cider vinegar every day and the healing repair lotion in the acne kit from costco 4-5 times aday. Callus removal/lesion cleaning every night.
Now after two weeks of this my face is finally almost healed again. This crude never sleeps so I've learned that if I sluff off I can expect trouble to follow shortly.
