I have been feeling stuff moving around in my body for years now but never anything like what I felt this morning. I fixed a late breakfast today of Italian sausage and eggs scrambled with artichoke hearts. After I had taken few bites I became aware of a sensation that was so weird...it felt like dozens of things were rapidly moving up my thigh (under the skin). They were all following the exact same path and making the exact same type of movement almost in unison. Imagine how a seal moves on dry land, then imagine about 3 dozen of them about an inch long moving like that up the inside of your leg. That's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. My blood sugar was low when I finally had breakfast and I was starving. Maybe the parasites were starving too. They smelled the Italian sausage and then came racing up my leg to get to my stomach so they could feed.
I have often noticed increased movement right after eating, like they go into a feeding frenzy. I am curious about how they are feeding. Do they come from all over the body at mealtime and some how find a way back into the stomach? Or maybe they just glom onto the intestine wall like leeches.
All of the antiparasiticals I am taking and I still have legions of parasites that just seem to keep getting bigger.
The other strange thing, yesterday morning I was getting dressed in front of a mirror and noticed a huge, long bruise running from just beneath my solar plexus to several inches past my belly button. The bruise was tear drop shaped, like a large vessel had burst somewhere under the skin and the seeping blood pooled into this long tear-shaped bruise. I am quite sure I didn't get hit there or bump into anything.
I am thinking maybe one of the parasites bit into a blood vessel. I am not sure why else I would have internal bleeding like this.
I have had a painful back ache on the same side where I felt the galloping parasites moving. Now I wonder if the parasites have done some kind of damage that is causing this back ache as I've never had one this severe before.

Well, people talk about the anticandida diet, the only thing i have noticed diet-wise, is that I feel better, morgie-wise if I don't eat Anything. So, we gotta eat, and so we're always feeding them. I have the peculiar sensation lately, of it feels like all the hair on my legs (yeah, I know) is standing on end. Never felt that before in my life. I don't know what that means. I guess it means I need to shave my legs. lol Hey, I don't have a boyfriend or a life, so I don't worry about leghair anymore.

I've noticed that, too, and a strange noise and sensation coming from my stomach, and I've thought recently of starving them out. If I didn't eat, would they leave? Also backaches, but they are located in the spine. And yes, bruises last week. This week is seed/tiny cysts week. Oh boy! Seems to go in cycles. I don't know the reasons why, but i am painfully aware.

GlenB , the parasite killers or cleansers you buy, don't work on this stuff at all. It just doesn't get them killed where they hide. It's not strong enough. Learned that real fast. They will continue to grow inside you. Have you done any of the anti's? First make sure you aren't having any bleeding that you shouldn't okay? These things get busy at strange times, you never know what is making them stir, heat, food, motion or what. You guys should realize this is sort of like having HIV. You can't cleanse this from your skin and tissues. It has to be killed from something strong, as like the pet meds and the anti's listed by others.

glennb, I had the same thing happen only once since I have had this condition for almost 7 years. One day I was really having headaches from alot of leisons on my back and neck . I noticed that the hairs on my neck hairline felt stiff and were really itching and hurting. the sensation was different than the usual stuff. I started pulling at the hairs on the hairline and noticed there were deep bumps under the hairline hairs. That night I was continuing to mess with the hairline and there were several things different than ever before. They were like skinny bug like things. Almost like the mature fly like critters. I scratched out about five that night. I have never had them since and I didn't even share the experience on the board because I was almost embarassed that I had let them get to the stage of maturity/ or maybe because I felt that these things/bugs were something completely different than my USUAL / maybe feeding on the dead/ messed up skin already happening on my neck. Like maybe they were external and sensed the condition and were feeding or something. Anyway a few days later I was in the bathroom going through my regular rituals of bath /powders/etc. when I noticed the sensation of something under my skin along my shoulder blade . I can only tell you that it felt like a swarm / moving the same direction toward my largest leison on my shoulder blade. There was a visible knot moving under the skin. You know how when you experience these things you wonder if you are really seeing this or are you actually going crazy. I rubbed the knot really hard/ pressing. The swarm feeling stopped next day sore on shoulder was more open into a slit and white stuff and thick liquid came out. I was so weirded out over this that I didn't even tell my family support about the visual swarm under my skin. Well now I am sharing it with you and I know what I saw and felt was real. I can also press/ rub on a leison near the track scar going down my arm and feel the prickly pain at the other end of my arm. It is all so strange. I have one blood vein in my arm that never bruised but it was like the blood vein was raised up and so obvious and it hurt and I am still rubbing in that place because it is not healed. I am still taking my fenben and had the best results in years but I still have some new breakouts/like when a really old scar starts to heal and feel like real skin again a new bump will come up near the healing place. My arm is hurting tonight as well as my shoulder. My ribs hurt all the time now. It is hard to sit upright at work because I feel like my ribs and back can't support my body. I pray for all of us to find relief. wolfe

When you are killing them, they do rock n'roll and do strange things. Had it happen to me also. Had them spasm, vibrate real hard, thump and even roll. Well in the muscle it feels like it. It's hard to explain. Some, like inside, it will feel like someone just ripped a leach off of you as it releases. Some a quick pain and it's over, Some like near spine can hurt alot. Just so you know in case you also are killing them. Or kill some in other areas. Didn't have one on hand. That's a new one.

Taxi,
I too have really noticed how "they" go in cycles too.
Seems every 2 and 1/2 weeks there's another brand new batch of them.
And yes.. about "feeding" them. I've noticed I'm more hungry in the mornings, where I never use to eat breakfast, well I'll actually get a stomach ache if I don't now. So I do figure I'm feeding them, cause if I don't then they'll give me a worse time or eat more body tissue, so I'd rather them eat the food.
And man....does this sound out there, but GOD knows this is true, and all of you too.
This is unreal.

This is the first time I've seen the eating/feeding connection mentioned and I never wanted to bring it up before now. I should have known that you guys would understand when others in my life didn't. I've had the same thing happen but it's in the middle of my back. It's been happening ever since a "supposed" injury there..........while I was sitting still and not moving. Afterward, I couldn't move for over two weeks and had to take two strong pain pills every 3 hours (and even that wasn't nearly enough). I know that something invaded my spine that day and ever since, when I would eat I'd get those burning sensations in the same spot....the longer I would go without food, the worse it was when I did eat. It's not my gallbladder as that's gone now, and it's not even any specific type of food...it's ALL food, almost like they sense it immediately. I've been told it's the Lyme but I doubt that spirochetes work that way. And I am another one who seems to feel better when I don't eat in the mornings...it could be the low blood sugar, I'm not sure but breakfast of any kind (even just protein) always puts me back in bed with profound fatigue and weird head sensations. I also have the dark bruising, though I found some to be thick veins close together after a closer look. But I think that when we look down at the actual bruising, it doesn't appear as dark to us as it really is and many might not even realize they have it. I have one big spot over my liver and was showing my Mother something one day.....most of my longer fibers come out of that area and I showed her the ones that had invaded the band on my undies. She wasn't as shocked by that as she was the dark bruising, but it never looked that dark to me from my viewing point. Fortunately a lot of my Morgs symptoms have eased up the last few months and one of only two things I'm doing different is not eating. My financial situation has been pretty bad lately and I'm living on jello and scrambled eggs, so it could be true about starving "them". Of course, starving isn't helping me any either but that's how it goes when you've lost everything you ever had in your life. Something else I'm doing that has helped greatly probably will sound strange but a friend who had great luck with it shared the tip with me.....I try to keep as much water off my skin as possible. I keep myself clean, I just do it with Baby Wipes everyday and only wash my hair once a week or so (depending on if I have to go anywhere or not).....then dry it quickly. I know that sounds horrid and I couldn't have done it 20 years ago, but now I live alone and hardly ever go anywhere. The Lyme fatigue took care of my gardening and other outside activities so I never get that dirty just sitting around here. Since I can't take baths due to my knees, I think that showers really irritate whatever is beneath the skin. I only have problems with itching now right after a shower, but a day or two later it's gone. You can stay clean everyday, just don't do it in a bath or shower with a lot of water. In the summer I sit in a tub chair and wash, but I'm very careful to get as little water on my skin as possible. Then I take a good but quick shower once a week, and every single time the problems return, especially since I don't use bath towels and need to drip-dry. I really think there's something to the water trick, or lack of it, but I can't say it positively. And I was seeing improvement with this before I had to cut down on my food intake. Another helpful tip is using a lint-roller on your sheets every night. I don't have the energy to change my sheets daily....it takes me exactly an hour to do it (with breaks) and afterward, I'm so fatigued that I normally just crawl in because I can't stand up any longer. I also put Borax on the mattress, then a "plastic" cover, then regular mattress pad and the sheets. Since adding the plastic cover, I've noticed less and less fibers on the lint roller for some reason. It's not the crinkly plastic kind, but it wasn't expensive either.....about $8 at WalMart. I don't think I've rid my body totally of Morgellons but the symptoms are at least 80% better. Now if I could just get rid of the Bb and more specifically, the pain and cognitive proglems......I'd gladly take "only" an 80% improvement there.

Thanks, everyone for your sharing. Horrid little shop of horrors we deal with.
patti, I am going the other way with the water thing. I have scheduled another HOT hottub at the clinic. I am trying to get my internal temp. up to 104F. The water I can stand is 105-107F. Afterwards, about 30 min. later fibers galore & cocoons start exiting my skin.

Yes. True for me too, about 2-21/2 weeks for the cycle. I never noticed it before, it was just a glob of sickness and nuisance...but now I can predict and prepare.
And yes I keep water away as well, Patti, not when I’m bathing because I shower and scrub like crazy, but afterwards I make sure I'm very dry. The black pepper is attracted to the water, flies up and attaches then itches and burns. I think they attracted to the bacteria, and it's like a homing device, so for me, I am treating it internally, but also environmentally. I clean with X-14 Orange and it works better than ammonia for me. I even cleaned myself with it in the shower last night, and I feel really good.
For me, it's not so much a fiber issue, I have blond hair, and so it's hard to tell. I’ve had two loooooong hairs. One about 4 inches on my upper arm. I just let it grow to see how long it would get. I didn't know what it was at the time. Then a couple of weeks ago my mother noticed an eyebrow that was about 1 1/2 inches long. But anyway, it's more of a grub, seed, worm, and black pepper/fungus extravaganza for me. Cycling. I wonder if it is all determined by progression of the condition, like an evolution? I do find the pepper more annoying than the worms. The worms I can deal with, but the pepper/fungus/mold/whatever-that-stuff-is drives me nuts.

I forgot to mention cycles but I also seemed to have serious outbreaks about every 15 days. People would talk about the full moon but I didn't always notice that the itching and biting was worse then....in fact, it's never made much sense where my case is concerned. Perhaps the full moons when I was affected just happened to fall into those 15-day cycles, or maybe it's another cycle that's totally different.....could be several different ones here at play. I don't see many black specks anymore but the scrubbing always seemed to make me worse, as if it was irritating whatever is beneath the skin just as the shower force did. I wouldn't get the mass exodus that others would but it would seriously increase the movement I felt under the skin. Just last night I used a back brush all over and suffered all night, yet this morning I found only a couple fibers on the lint-roller. Actually, I think that I'm an abnormal case in every respect. And to clarify something I never thought about until getting a very kind message that touched my heart so deeply (bless you QH)......I have been financially strapped just like the rest of you but I'm getting by pretty well. I had a few months that really set me back but by the end of the year I should be caught up totally. I don't want anyone thinking I am suffering here as I'm doing just fine and have been blessed many times over! I know some of you have lost loved ones to this disease.....many others are losing or have lost their homes (and they have families). I have a roof over my head and a guaranteed income every month so please, I don't deserve any sympathy......we're all suffering in so many different ways. Just having you all to talk to is more than I could ever want (well, except for a cure), so I thank everyone sincerely for that.

Patti, you aren't weird in anyway!!! You sound just like me, I don't have the moon cycles and didn't understand. I said nothing as we all go through so many aspects of this illness. Scrubbing made me worse also. I had no ideal you also. I thought I was weird also, so didn't want to say anything. Am so glad you spoke up. It makes me feel alot better! You are Fab! Thanks for sharing!

Hey Patti, it did bother me to h ear of you eating jello and eggs only. I have lived like that. Right now, I waitress in a very nice Chinese restuarante, so I get to eat free everyday I work and I take home scraps for my dogs, they eat very well. Plus, it's close to home, so I don't have to spend much on gas. But, I don't like to think of anyone, anywhere going hungry. I'm a little overweight, so I guess me and the morgs are eating good in our neighborhood. I love this website, but sometimes it's just sad reading about people's situations. You know, and this stupid disease makes us focus so much on ourselves. I realize that all I think about is me and my disease. I don't like that.

I've always had bruises -- on and off but mostly on -- where i had not bumped myself. Only have one little one now on my thigh -- been there for about a month or more.
For a while, I had blood in my stool -- very scary as it was getting worse and worse.
I took Arnica for a while and that stopped the blood in my stool as it stops internal bleeding and bruising.
I also think that we may all be low in vitamin C? If I remember right, random bruising usually means a need for more vitamin C.
Arnica will also help with aches and pains topically.
I don't know if any of this will help you -- but, it has helped me sometimes. I think it depends on what is causing what? in each of us

patti, I had a wonderful wooden back brush I swear I never wanted to part with. I have a new skin brush too that I only had used a few times about two years ago. My wonderful back brush caused a lot of crawling where ever it touched. I even boiled to no avail. Now my skin brush I then tried. There was no difference so now I have one of those synthetic fluffy things attached to a plastic handle that I spray off with Benzarid after use. Not a problem. Who knows? 22122

Hello all! This is a very good thread. I have many friends that have the problem with showering or bathing, so they do not do it daily. Of course as Patti said wipes work wonderful. What is so interesting is we all have the same disease but many affects are different. I can shower everyday, but if I shampoo that much I pay. Now, I am choosing to pay. It is allot of trouble but it aggravates "them" I am am getting better so I will pay for now. The bruising, oh those bruises. My seven yr old and I get them all the time. They come from beneath not from bumping as U all say. Have not quite figured it out but it is Morgs at work. The pain described in the spine, those are the time's I thought it was over. When this unbelievable thing releases itself from my spine and neck the pain cannot be described. It is the will power we have to live that saves us along with the Lord and our prayer's. I know my little one has the same thing I do within 2 days apart. Waiting for the day, we will be helped and people who do not believe will be in for quite a shock. God Bless Always, Glenda

I had large bruises up and down my arms and legs and looked like a participant in WrestlerMania. This seemed to stop after two months on a parasite cleanse and an anti-candida diet. The problem with this illness is you never know what and when something will return, or something new will develop.

That's the truth, a surprise a day. I have noticed some leg bruises, lately, can't remember bumping into stuff, but I am kind of a klutz ("walked much") and probably ignore such bumps.

I thought that I had read someone's post that an 'out of nowhere' bruise could be the sign of a die off? I get quite a lot of these just appearing, usually on my legs but I've had them on my face too. Belikewater - the surpise ad day is freaky. I've been bathing my feet in salt water and tea tree and then rubbing them with grapefruit seed extract and aloe vera and getting lots of little white fat things out. Yesterday our ecovie delivery arrived so I bathed my feet in that then applied the grapefruit seed extract and aloe and loads of black stuff came out. I don't know if things have just changed or if there is a different reaction depending on what solutions we apply?
