Here's a Google of Iodine kills fungus. tinyurl.com/ych738Has anyone tried Lugol's Iodine? Apparently it will kill fungus as well as many bacteria and there are loads of reports of people using Iodine on dogs, cats, horses. I know Iodine is an old remedy, but would like to know if anyone has had any results worth sharing. Thanks.

I have been using Lugol's topically for several months off and on. Seems to me that it helps quite a bit. Seems to bring the balck specks to the surface. I have also read that Pottasium Iodide is used in the treatment of sporotrichosis (which is a fungal infection). Since my lesions look a lot like the ones I have seen of that disease I figured it can't hurt. I have read that most people in general are iodine/iodide deficient, and without enough iodine the thyroid doesn't function properly, and without the thyroid functioing properly, the immune system doesn't work properly. I have read if the iodine/iodide absorbs through the skin rapidly it is an indication of iodine deficiency. If your interested googe Dr. Brownstein.

Thank you, PaLady.
Like many with Lyme Disease my Thyroid was shot, and was removed last March. The replacement thyroid has been changed four times, but now I'm at .175 and seem to be doing ok. I find it very strange there's such a prevalence of idone deprivation in our country when I feel sure most of us use Iodized salt which I always thought was a good thing.
I wonder about people in the far east whose diet contains more shellfish than most of us here and if they're thyroid deficient as well.
There's an M.D. in Stillwater or Norman, can't recall which, who also has a practice in Tulsa a couple of days a week. He's supposed to be a local leading authority on thyroid. (Dr. Hagglund.)
I'll check out the Brownstein site and many thanks for your reply.
Will ask pharmacist about ordering the Lugols if they don't stock it.

A mix of colloidal silver & iodine despatched the scalp fibers in quick time....It worked great for me and I tried just about every thing else that was out there....How well it would work else where I have not the slightest.

Orion, Thank you for this information!
Did you have the crawling sensation in your scalp and did you ever actually see your hair move?
Last night for the first time I pulled a hair from my head that was not a hair. If it was a hair something drastic happened to it.
It was thin, hard to describe, but wasn't a normal thickness, looked shiny, looked a little like a thin fiber, but I pulled it from my head, so it did grow there. It appeared to be orange. I freaked.

Iodine is part of my essential kit of topical remedies. I soak a small pad of Povodine iodine-ie not as strong as straight iodine (which will burn your skin if you leave it on for more than a few minutes) put it on the lesion and seal it with a micropor paper tape dressing. I leave it on overnight and sometimes the next day-even seems to help when it ries out. Alternating with this i use a combo of bactroban and canestan and sometimes Ivermectin paste. Riva

I use povidone-iodine (10% topical solution) all the time. I smear it all over and sleep in it. It does not burn.

Interesting, I have just been given (sold to me), told to take, a little potasium iodide to take along with all the other stuff I am taking. Too early to tell what benefit I will experience from it or the combination.

I freaked. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Itchie, scalie scalp- like subreic dermatitis---but filled with clear, black, blue, red, 1 in a 1000 green fibers..I collected a bunch of this crap--brush it out of a nit comb with a tooth brush and scrape it up with a credit card... Hairs moveing???I don't know for sure---I get the long black worms --found one today waving at me--I corked it and another one up in a snuff box...will do some experiments with the big microscope later on. I have the big black ugly ones in my beard and mustache---the ones with the crazy golf club end encapsulated in the clear gel.. There are Many on my arms--I think that they are all over my body where ever hair grows. I always find the smal black wormes with them...also the very fine clear hairs that grow at a finominal rate. they can grow an inch over night.. Every other hair in my beard is the ugly black ones--my beard normaly is snow white,,,I used to have snow white hair on my head but it is turning dark again,,,,The leasions, I don't have many, are circled with a dark brown pigment. I have very good reason to believe that the black tube like hair is inhabited by a very small white worm--I have seen them pokeing their head out of one end of the hair---the hair is their house LOL They, what ever they are, seem to have commandered the hair folical and have grown their own hair house.. Now friskie--that's hair house... I feel that the deformed blob at the root is an incubation chamber and that when the worm or larve form they migrate up the hollow hair like tube..I have seen these VERY minute worms come out of the fiber on a q-tip. I feel that the animation in the fiber is caused by the worm inside... Electromagnitism or static electricity complicates the matter as it is difficult to tell what is actually activating the fiber or hair. This is about as crazy as it gets,,,no wonder at the DOP BS-- If I did not know better, that's what my diagnosis would be,, It is straight out of Alfred Hitchcock---Some times I am ready to throw in the towel... I hear Travis caling way off in the distance.. It has gotten my back and legs to where I can hardly walk---turn the lights off and I struggle to get into bed (Balance) -The eyes are filled with cobwebs any more--getting harder and harder to see. My teeth have desolved in my mouth. Feet are cold most of the time...Other than that I'm doing just great LOL---While the CDC is draging its feet--so am I.:-) £¤¤‰Ž€€€‰‰£‰¤‰ŽŽ—±---

My diagnosis as of late---a bioengineered filarial nematode with a bacteria that grows fibers.. A lot like Ocho (river blindness) Walabechia (sp)---but nothing that has ever been seen before by science---a brand new menace to deal with... Are they chemtrail conected? Agriculture oriented ? Experiment gone bad? Global pollution? Radio active fall out mutations? To tell you the truth, I don't think we will ever know...men have died over this..Just how long can it be kept secret if it is a secret? Heck if you sleep with the neighbor next door it's all over town before 5 AM. Seriously--kill the bacteria that the nematode has a symbiotic relationship with and you just MIGHT ? get the worm. But it (bacteria) has also had some gene spliceing done to it. This is what you get for sending your kid to collage.

Hey O........I hear Travis calling sometimes too, I guess all of us do at certain times. I just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. You guys are family and I wish there was something I could do......or SOMEONE could do to stop all this pain.
But ya know, I think these 2 dr.'s (Karjoo and Staninger) are committed to getting to the source of morgdom and will come up with some type of help for us......even if it helps us temporarily until they DO find a permanent solution to ending this nightmare. I just have a really good feeling about them.....they actually made my level of hope rise to the point of registering again! Anyhow....hang tough my friend.
Oh, btw....your description above about the guys in the hair follicle is right on the money in my eyes. And I agree about this stuff taking up house.....sh*t it doesn't just take up......it moves in, kills the occupants and takes over, pretending to be you (and it gets away with it without paying the mortgage!) I know that most of my hair that's coming back in isn't my hair anymore......not too sure what to do about that!!?
I'll do the iodine thing and thanks for the tip Sydney! Should I simply pour it over my mostly bald head and leave it til I take a shower? Do you think it'll leave my scalp orange or burn it real bad.....cuz there's no hair (per say) to protect it anymore since my "fallout"?? I have a list going for some more "good remedy stuff to buy" and I'm gonna go to town tomorrow. So if anybody knows what would be best on a mostly bald head would you let me know? I thank ya...........
luv ya's~~ bannanny

Bananny --I got an ocean nasel spray bottle from the drug-grocery--emptied out the salt solution---filled it about half full of colloidal silver and aded about 1/2 a dropper of iodine---put the nozel back in and start scratching your head with it--do not get the iodine in your eyes--if you do-flush them with water for 5 minuts.. I just did it every time my head itched--it took about 2-3 weeks but it made a huge improvement...Not a cure but one good way to put them on the run..I only have an ocasional problem now and just treat for a few days till it quits bothering me.
