Hi All~~ ReliefSeeker and I are taking Cumanda, and since it is being effective for us both, we thought it was time to start a thread on it. Both of us had positive results within the first few hours, and continue to have results. Knock on tree-bark! Here is Dr. Cowden's protocol (its for LD) to read. Its very simple and easy to follow (so I can stay the course HA-HA). www.bionatus.com/nutramedix/moreinfo_eng/Lymeprotocolkinesiology3.htmCumanda, according to studies done, seems to be safe even at very high doses given to Ruts -- I mean rats. Quote from study: There are no known contraindications, no known side effects and no known interactions with other drugs when using Campsiandra angustifolia products like Cumanda. In May 2005, toxicology studies were conducted on Nutramedix Cumanda at the University of Guayaquil in Ecuador. No toxic effects were reported even when laboratory rodents received 240,000 times the equivalent human dose.Entire study (its short): www.bionatus.com/nutramedix/pdfs/cumanda_flyer_Bs.pdfbe well, life

Yes, Cumanda is effective killing flukes, worms, and breaking down layers of biofilm...but the biofilm breakdown is torture...create "crawlies",I found a weaker vesion of mycocide,in Wal-Mart that John suggested, an antifungal because it is thought that biofilm is mostly fungii, but I read that it's a strong "colony" of superbugs. Mycocide brought out a LOT of them, but it was extremely uncomfortable...sorry, I have jumped too far ahead but it stands to reason that a doctor won't keep prescribing ativan (and even 1 mg a day works so well), so I'm looking for relief... The Miracle Foot Repair did not do it for me, as it was suggested on biology online, but it must have been for lesions...that is the only problem I am having now is the crawlies...but if DNA is mutated...we need a cure...something other than Cumanda and antiparasitics...have anyone ever tried Solumel from Melaceua Products? Yes, I agree with Life that the Cumanda is very good but I had a LOT of biofilm which is basically "live" bugs in a strong bond, and when that bond is getting broken...OH ME OH MY OH...kinda crazy now...take care all...

Dr. Cowden recommends starting Cumanda @ 1 drop 2 X's per day, increasing to 20 drops 2 X's a day.
I started with 10 drops 2 X's a day, and went to the 20 drops 2 X's per day by the third day. I did not Herx, but that does not mean others won't.
He recommends taking Burbur for diminishing Herx symptoms, if you do.
Within 3 hours of my first Cumanda dose, my carbunkly-types started to soften to where I could pull parts of them off.
The 3rd morning, I woke up with a bit of stiffness in my right hand, and it looked a bit swollen (marginally), which lasted for about 3 days. I do have quite a large group of Morgs on my right hand, which makes it difficult for me to use it at times, and since it wasn't too bad, I decided to continue my dosage.
At that point, I upped the dosage gradually to 80 drops total per day -- no side effects and still no Herxing. But, I did not notice it being any more effective than at the recommended 40 drops per day, so I went back down -- and have stayed at -- 40 drops per day.

At first, I was taking both Quina and Cumanda -- I added the Quina because I have Babesiosis as well as LD. I decided to stop the Quina for now, after taking it with Cumanda for 10 days, as I believe this is hightly fungal in nature -- and I have fungal looking nails in both my feet and hands. Cumanda is effecatious in killing Candida and other fungus, and the Dr. mentions in his protocol, that if you have fungal infection, to stay on the Cumanda for 2 months before beginning to 'switch out' with Samento and Quina. Quote: An Antifungal: One of the most impressive benefits of Cumanda is its antifungal action. Physicians report that it is effective in treating many difficult to treat fungi including Mycosis fungoides, Candida krusei, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger, to name a few. Hi Life & All, please accept my apology for last night's post...I was half delirious from not getting sleep in 3 days and it happened because I was trying to take the process too fast. Let me say first that my whole leg had biofilm because of the flukes, bacteria, fungus, and whatever else that invades our bodies. When I saw how rapidly the Cumanda was breaking down the biofilm on my leg by taking it internally, I started using it as a topical dressing and alternated it by using Eco-Vie, (a topical cleanse that is both antifungal and antibacterial) and it was breaking it down even faster. Then one day I used a whole bottle of Cumanda on my leg and it caused a massive break down of the biofilm . But we all know how persistent these organisms are and how they will go in the ATTACK mode. So for the next 3 days I was attacked when I tried to sleep. JTW recommended mycocide, an antifungal that is taken orally, and I ordered it. It has not arrived yet, so I went to Wal-Mart's last night and found an external cream Mycocide with the main ingredient of 1% tolnaftate. I have swollen ankles filled with parasites. When I took the Cumanda, it seemed as if a "hole" opened on my left inside ankle and hundreds of whitish beads poured out, but they were still swollen on the lateral side of my left ankle and both sides of my right ankle. I took suggestions from lot of you to sterilize a needle and drain it. I was so squeamish but I finally did it...but it only bleed. One of my friends, thought that perhaps my biofilm was mostly fungus. I applied the Mycocide to both legs and ankles, and attemped to sleep but there was a flurry of crawling activity all over my body. I endured it for an hour until I finally drifted to sleep. I slept for 12 hours, and now when I awakened there were white pecks all over my legs and now my ankles are FLAT. Cumanda is definitely my little soldier in a bottle, but I also needed a strong antifungal cream for my legs. Please excuse me for digressing, but I thought this information was important. I will eat now and return and tell you all more systematically how Cumanda affected me day by day. But the ultimate proof about how good Cumanda is that I will be returning to work on Feb. 12, 2007 after being out sick for 4 months. Oh! And my start date was Jan. 12,2007...Take care...RS

Hi All, when I initially started taking Cumanda, I was not aware of Dr. Cowden's protocol. After being hospitalized at 3 different hospitals, I was doing worse than ever...and all I could talk about was dying or wishing that I was dead. My son tried to be strong, but I had literally worn him out with my crying...he was at a loss how someone like me with my background could turn into a crying, wimpering female. But I was virtually living a nightmare, I thought that I had one big fluke that felt like it was "swimming" inside of me and secreting so much crap on my leg that I feared sleeping (but I soon found out that I had more than one). I did research on the computer until I found Cumanda:
Jan 12, 2007 Day 1- Cumanda arrived at 4:30pm on a Friday and I followed the directions on the bottle which said to take 4-10 drops 2x a day. I had NO faith at all in this product to do anything because everything else had failed....around 7:00pm, I felt something move rapidly inside my left leg, next it was thrashing in my foot under my skin until it was still. It was coiled and my skin was raised about 2 inches, my mother wanted me to go once again to the ER to prove to the medical community that I had flukes...I refused. I started with 10 drops only for that day. Jan 13, 2007 Day 2- Felt slight movement in right leg and it was swollen, red and painful. My hands had been tingling for about a week, now the tingling had stopped and my hands were a very dark color and resembled a scaly fish. I used an adhesive lint roller and removed several hundred specks of parasites. While cleaning the inside area of my left ankle a tiny hole appeared and small whitish round beads came out...there was so many, it was scary. I took 10 drops x2 that day.
Jan 14, 2007 Day 3- On this day I finally realized why there had been so many secretions on my leg. There was more than one, and they laid inside my left leg and secreted fluid and worms until I started taking 6 bactrim a day and I would not sleep with my leg in a horizontal position. On this day, I felt such something thrashing in my abdomen...and then it became still, that was the third fluke. And I noted on this day the breakdown of the biofilm, none of the meds given to me from any hospital or derm would remove the biofilm except IV vancomysin...but no sooner than it stopped the biofilm would return. I was taking 30 drops 2x day.
Jan 15, 2007 Day 4- I felt no further movement in my body, and the many layered biofilm continued to break down on my left leg. I also had some biofilm on my right leg but in a small amount, but just before I started Cumanda, the flukes and their secretions had discolored my right leg. At this point, I ordered Samento because of what I read about it and the way John talked about it. Oh! I finally stretched that left leg out and slept soooo good. No more stinging, biting, secreting of glazes mixed with worms on my leg.
When the flukes secreted on my leg, and as I would clean it off, I would see white worms that would wiggle quickly back into my leg, and more glaze would be secreted...it was the most astonishing yet horrifying experience of my life. I still have the "crawlies", because as the biofilm breaks down, it seems a lot of them scatter to other parts of your body. So now I have movement on my nose and in my head...so now back to the tea tree shampoo. But all in all, life is sooo much better!!

Hi~~
Well, I thought I'd spend some more time tonight 'reporting' on what's already happened.
By the 5th day of taking Cumanda, my eyes ached; the aching was not in the front of my eyes, but all around on the inside of my sockets. Now, I SO have a new 'nasty' one on my nose -- got it just before Thanksgiving when one of those black 'things' got on my nose in my classroom. the kind that turns into a crusty spreading thing that carbuncles up. It got to 1/2 long and 1/4 inch wide, heading for my right eye, and burrowing down into my nose canal.
So, I was concerned about my eye. The aching in my eye sockets lasted for about 3 days and then slowly diminished, taking about 5-6 days from original ache to being gone. Whew! on THAT one!
Like ReliefSeeker, I want to go 'faster' on this, but realize that I need to be kind to my body -- not go too fast, so my body has a chance to remove the toxins as I go.
Also, I've had this for about 3 1/2 years, so I'm at the stage where they are mostly carbuncle types. I used to have several hundred lesions, got it down to about 35-40 (depending on my reinfection rate from work), and the Cumanda is drying things up.
So, that makes me think I should do as Dr. Cowden recommends, if you have fungus, and stay with just the Cumanda for about 2 months, then switch out with either Samanto or Quina.
The reason I thought to switch out with Quina is, for me anyway, that I have Babs and he says to address that first.
But, I wonder... IF there are no side effects, why can't I take all three at the same time?
There I go being in a hurry again.

GEEZE! REliefSeeker
What a nightmare!
One thing I noticed, by the 3rd day, was that I was 'shedding' a lot of dibree. I usually shed (don't we all) SOME, but not like this. I can get by now with washing my sheets once a week, as well as my floors.
I had to start washing my floors every couple of days -- and the paper towels I use were covered in black specks and hairs -- in the kitchen. My bathroom floor was covered - literally - in white fibers that looked like cotton lint.
That slowed down quite a bit after a week -- 9-10 days of taking the Cumanda.
Another thing, my pee has a slight greenish color to it. Not super green, just very slight. I don't know if that is 'infection' leaving my kidneys or bladder, or if it is just the Cumanda giving my pee a slight greenish tinge to it. Like people who take Rifampin saying that things come out of them orange in color.
Also, while I have had little white specks and short black hairs come out in my urine for a while now, after taking the Cumanda for at least a week, they are a bit bigger. Could it be fungus, like Candida localized in my kidneys or bladder? Don't know. I had de-Candidaized myself years ago, and often wondered if it can set up shop and live, isolated, in different parts of the body even after it is greatly diminished in the gut.

Effects of Cumanda on meta-cognition and mood.
I need to add here that I have been doing QuestionHair's smoothie she has posted on the supplements page for over a month now. I have been having good results with it. I modified my smoothie from her original recipe just a bit, I added Cinnamon, ionic Copper, olive oil, and a raw free range egg to it.
TCM says that while you are 'moving' an infection (or whatever) out of your body, you should build your immune system. Makes sense to me.
Anyway, by the end of the first week on Cumanda, I could spell again, remember all my students' names, finish and complete a thought, no longer forget what the heck I went into the other room to get or to do, and type much faster and with more precision --- much less comes up in spell check.
And, by the 10th day on Cumanda -- out of the blue one day -- I was happy. I mean, happy like I used to be. (I was always happy.) It lasted only a couple of hours, but it was there.
And it gave me great hope. I forgot what it felt like to just be happy for no particular reason. Glorious.
While QH's smoothie had taken away my 'peeing my pants' on the way to the bathroom every day when I got home -- the Cumanda took that to another level. Now, when I get home, I've noticed that I don't have urgency at ALL. Gone. Gone. Gone.
Also, by the end of the 2nd week, I noticed my hair was softer again, no tangles from these things clinging to strands of hair, and I have little new baby hairs growing in around my face. And not so dry. I used to put Ojon oil -- 4 pumps worth -- in my hair after washing it just to put some oil back into it. I'm down to 2 pumps this week -- after 14 days on the Cumanda.
Is it the Cumanda? Or QH's smoothie? Or the ionic copper I added to the smoothie? Sorry -- I don't know because I'm doing them in conjunction with one another. Could be a combination of all three.
So, all in all, I can think clearer, I can spell again, and my mind-hand coordination is much better....which is when I started signing my posts here,
life is good

Hi Jeff~~
Why do you think we are suppose to 'rotate' the Cumanda with the Samento and Quina?
I mean, why not take them all at once? I don't see where one would cancel the other out.
Do you?
I would so appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this one.

Hi life, Glad you are finding the Cumanda and Qh's smoothie effective. That's great. I know you are asking Jeff for his thoughts on 'why not take them all at once?' with regard to the Samento, Cumanda and Quina but wondered if it was simply that: as we know supplements may become less effective due to adjustment so it can be useful to make changes to the protocol. Also that if we go too hard at it we may herx and also not be able to identify what is most useful.
I am now on 10 x 3 drops of Samento a day and since the increase (6 days) I've had a lot of itching and seeing lots of spikules and black specks, so I've cut back a wee bit. But, perhaps foolishly, I also introduced MSM and have been taking the Manuka honey so now I'm not sure what is causing the itching - could also be that I am cleaning out lots of papers. I get a really bad reaction from paper that's been around for a while and having to part with some books I have an emotional attachment to. However, more emotionally attached to my wellbeing so out they'll have to go.
Keep us posted on your progress and thanks for the other tip about the burbur.
Good luck to you too, reliefseeker.
All the best, Hannah

Life, this is wonderful news, especially about the 'happy'. This indicates higher levels are being cured/balanced. I have done nothing but my 3 homeopathics and some minerals and salt/vitC. I was thinking of herbs, but now really want to try the cumanda. I have had fungus toe nails, I believe as my first lyme symptom, from many years.
Thank you for your updates. You go girrrulll.

Hi BeLikeWater~~
Yes, the 'happy' was a huge, huge sign for me too. The interesting thing about it was that the 'happy' came from deep within, from the very core of my being.
I did read somewhere that Cumanda crosses the BBB within 2 minutes of taking it. Dr. Cowden recommends taking Bromelain with it -- which enhances efficacy of drugs and vitamins (I'm sure you already know this), and also helps what we take cross the BBB. I have not added that as of yet.
I'm excited that you are thinking of trying Cumanda. I so respect your opinions and thoughts on things, as you are very knowledgeable to say the very least.
I stopped the Pyrogenium because of you. Although, I would like to try it again, as it also worked quite well to clear things out of the skin, but I am going to wait, on the Homeopathic angle as you recommended, until I can get in to see Dr. Luc De Scheppe when he starts seeing patients again this June.
I have high hopes that he may be able to come up with something for me.
hugs to you, life is good

Today is my 18th day. Still just taking the Cumanda.
I have been broke (moving and car), so I had deleted buying sea salts for my baths, just taking them every couple of weeks since Thanksgiving. Well, finances back to normal, I decided to get back into the baths -- they have been the one thing that has been my saving Grace in the past
So, I took a bath 2 days ago, and this might sound 'odd', but after about 1/2 hour in the tub (I put in a few pounds of sea salt when I take a bath), I smelled a 'weird' smell. Okay, don't laugh too hard, but it smelled like 'toe jam'. It wasn't pungent, but it was there.
Yuck! And shortly after that, the bath water started to get 'cloudy' -- within 15 minutes, it was milky-white, so I got out not wanting whatever it was to have a chance to e-enter.
Since Cumanda is so effective for many forms of fungus, could it be that that is what exuded from my skin? I mean, so many of you have reported that there appears to be a fungal 'aspect' to Morgs. After all, many of you have reported that after taking certain 'zole'-drugs, you get better, and any drug that is a 'zole' is anti-fungal in nature.
I'm going to take another bath tonight and see what occurs, if anything. If nothing else, it will help my body detox and rid whatever may be surfacing on the skin.
Also, I had a 'cluster' of something on the small of my back. Couldn't see it, but there were about 6-7 from what I could feel, and they were raised tracks, all about 1 - 1 1/2 inch long. They are now all but gone. I can't find-feel anything there anymore. So, that's good.
I got a new hole on my neck, by my jaw, at the beginning of last week, and by the end of the week, it was gone. So, I'm hoping as I get re-infected at work, the Cumanda will help my body to not let it 'set in'. But, it could just be a coincidence. Time will tell.
Come to think of it, last week I cleaned out a pretty good sized storage room I have in my classroom, moving out boxes, old folders, papers, and the like. Whenever I do anything like that, I always get the paper-cut kinds on my hands and forearms. I did get a couple of 2 inch long paper cut tracks on the inside of my wrist, but by the next day they were completely gone. When I've gotten them in the past, I've put Iodine on them and they raise up, showing black specks with their tracks where they've burrowed along just under the skin. So, that is another possible good sign that the Cumanda doesn't let them set up 'camp' when they get on me.
I sure do hope so, but it still could be coincidence at this point. I'll keep watching -- I have plenty of opportunity since it is at work that I get re-infected weekly.
hugs to you all, life is good

Hi All, I have not posted in a while because life has gotten soooo much better for me (and I have been out of the house going everywhere!!). The last time I posted I was adding Samento and I used it in addition to Cumanda until it was gone...but I read Life's post about not adding Samento until after 2 months if fungus is a (strong) element involved...BUT when I added the Samento, the "critters" were jumping off me in my environment and I wished that I had gotten the menthol crystals and diffuser as John...blue skies, suggested...in fact I want to thank him for the suggestion of adding the Mycocyde, an antifungal taken internally that comes in two 60 ml bottles labeled Mycocyde 1, and Mycocyde 2, taken 3 x a day @ 12 drops...I NO longer have the "crawlies", for 2 days now...especially when I sleep. I still have a difficult time sleeping because frankly I'm still petrified by the thought of the flukes when they terrorized me on a nightly basis with the secreting of fluids and worms and by day with the constant biting, stinging and crawling all over my body. Today was the first day that I did not cry about it, in fact I'm pretty much living a normal life and I go back to work this coming Monday. I also added the Bromelain Plus as suggested by Dr. Cowden to enchance the Cumanda and the rest of your supplements. Life is good again and I want to live, live and be happy. The Cumanda has done wonders for me, but I still have fibers that bother me especially when I wear socks even, spandex socks...IF you have carpet, then please be careful, that's how I got SO infested when I tried to shampoo it, I ended up replacing it, a fellow morgie sufferer that has a website, says that the "critters" don't jump from person to person...I have got infested 3 times from being around the homeless... that's not true and I got infested when I went around a morgy sufferer who does not believe that he infested me...but it happened... I will write more later...

Hi ReliefSeeker~~
You really sound like you are doing so much better too! I am so glad I am trying this.
Since you are posting that you are doing so well on the Samento with the Cumanda -- I am going to just stay on the Cumanda.
Today, I am going to finally add the Bromelain with the Cumanda and see what changes in efficacy occur, if any. And post those results.
I want to just 'do it all', but then again, I also want to know what does what, if you know what I mean.
Isn't it wonderful, though, to run around with so much energy back into our lives? No longer exhausted?
I have had 3 disappear from my chin this week. I got 2 new pimple-types on my face Monday, by my eye and high on my cheekbone -- they went away last night -- in less than 3 days of surfacing!
By Wednesday of every week, I have between 5 and 8 bumps, or open lesions on the crown of my head -- from work. And every week end, I get rid of them, only to get reinfected on my head the next week.
Last week, I noticed only 3 new ones by Wednesday. This Wednesday, today, I only have one. Another good sign.
My toe nails are looking better too. This week, both baby toe nails have 'uncurled' and look more normal -- although, they are still a bit 'thick', they are on the road to recovery. The skin on the heals of my feet are soft again as well.
life is good
