Have any of you experienced a bad, putrid, nauseating smell that is inside your nose?
I have had this awful smell inside my nose for two days now and it makes me sick to my stomach......it smells like the odor you get in the refrigerator when there is spoiled food in there. That's the only way I can think of to describe it.
I have run out of ideas...for cleaning out my nose......so far, I have rinsed the inside of my nose with SINO-FRESH, soapy hot water, put Terramycin on a q-tip and crammed it up both sides of my nose. Nothing has helped!!
I would appreciate any and all thoughts you all have!!
luv u guys,

Try rinsing with: diluted salt water colloidal silver or diluted grapefruit seed extract

a very funny ex (the tobasco kid) told me a story of his 3-4 yr old niece who's face smelled funny for several days. They finally took her to the doctor. The doc preceeded to look up her nose and began tweezing out tiny pieces of an old, moldy kitchen sponge. When he was done tweezing, the entire sponge (in bits and pieces) was sitting on tray. She had tore it apart and shoved it up her nose, herself! eeks!! that just reminded me of your topic, sorry i had to!!! I am thinking thats NOT your situaton. perhaps snort a little baking soda water...some have snorted worse not meaning to make light of your situation...as im sure it must be VERY uncomfortable and could possibly lead to a serious health condition. please try the soda water! anj

Yes I did have a bad smell at one time but it wasn't from my nose here's how the story goes: One day shortly after I was inflicted with this disease I noticed that something smelled like poop first I checked my shoes for good measure to see if I had stepped in something then I started running around the house sniffing everywhere I went trying to find the source of the poop smell It seem the smell was in every room equally I went into the kitchen poop smell living room "poop-smell' The bed room poop-smell went outside still "poop-smell' I even went to the grocery store and guess what "poop-smell' It was really driving me crazy as it went on for a few days At this point my common since grasp a hold of me and I realized right then that because I smelled poop every where I went that I must be the source Anyway what I discovered after doing some investigation was that the critters were making a rest stop at my sphincter before making the rest of the long journey to make a home in my mustache just under my nose I shaved off my mustache and problem solved no more smell Oh' happy day!!! ;D There was one other smell that I smelled in the early days of terror that wasn't as bad as the first smell I described but it was just as constant I believe it is the smell of fear that is to say that when we are afraid that our body gives off pheromones I was vary afraid Have any of you experienced a bad, putrid, nauseating smell that is inside your nose? I have had this awful smell inside my nose for two days now and it makes me sick to my stomach......it smells like the odor you get in the refrigerator when there is spoiled food in there. Snort Saltwater, dilute 1tbsp. of salt and baking soda in 2 cups of water-H2o, snort it in your nose. Its better than nose spray which is also an addictive chemical which causes rebound sinus problems. What are you using for eye problems. I have 30 now with eye problems, foggy eyesight when they were once clear and could focus perfectly. I am at a loss on eyesight problems. Love and Light, Trisha Springstead RN who wasn't listening when my Professor was teaching the Ocular pathway. I was kinda listening but have a hard time on helping with the eye part.

Oh yeah... Can I get an AMEN!? I used to go throught this phase sometimes in the beginning of my illness, so did others I have spoken to who have this illness. I used to smell what has to be very close to what a decaying corpse smells like, everywhere I'd go...I would catch a wiff of it throughout the day. I'd ask "Do you smell that?" to whomever was lucky enough to be in my company. ;D They would always say they smelled nothing at all, nomatter who it was I asked. Himalyan crystral salt-turned into the solei form (exactly 50/50 salt and water) used with a sinus bulb syringe and flushed through the sinuses twice a day. I realize this sounds bizarre, but it's so very relieving of all sorts of nasal nuinces one might experience as a result of being a Morgie. Look it up online if you want to...good stuff!

From time to time I get an anoying smell like I was living in an old cig. ash tray ( I don't smoke nor does any one in the house) It is hard to go to sleep with--It will last a couple three days then it goes away--no explaination.. It's happened about 4-5 times in the past two years...these odd smells are hard to live with alright. **O***

Orion........YES, IT SMELLS LIKE AN OLD CIG. ASHTRAY......./and I had a terrible time trying to sleep last night.....the smell kept waking me up. I covered my face with the blanket, thinking it was coming from somewhere in the room, but obviously I was wrong.
For the last few months, these THINGS have been really attacking my eyes........just about to make me crazy (crazier)!! I guess they're changing tactics and going after my nose now!!
Anj,
Loved the story....thank you! When my sons were ages 3 and 5, the 3 year old started getting nosebleeds all of a sudden. We were so alarmed, we took him to the doctor to see what was causing the nosebleeds. When the doctor looked in the 3 year old's nose, he said that their were tiny cuts and scratches in one nostril, and he packed his nose with gauze. He asked me if I knew how he got these cuts.......and I had no idea!!! I didn't have any luck getting information from the 3 year old, so I asked his 5 year old brother.
You know those packages of little green plastic army men.........there's about 50 in a package for about $2.00........Well, the 5 year old said that he had seen his brother take an army man that was aiming a rifle.....and he stuck the pointy end up his nose.!!! Man, I know it must have hurt, but he had apparently stuck them up his nose several times when no one was watching. All of the army men went in the trash!!!!
Belikewater,
Thanks will try all of the above!!
ANTHILL!!
Boy, I'm glad you found the problem....it must have been driving you crazy!!! NO MORE FACIAL HAIR, HUH!?
PREVENGE,
I had a Catscan done of my head about 2 years ago, but nothing showed up, I wish they had done an MRI instead. At the time, I did not know that I had this disease (I now know that I have had it at least five years!) My doctor ordered the CT Scan because of my constant sinus infections.......I can't remember when I DIDN'T have a sinus infection.
Trisha,
Thank you.......I use Terramycin (by Pfizer) for my eyes. It is an ointment specifically for eye infections and the combination of ingredients really works well against these organisms. However, it is still a constant battle, because they reproduce faster than I can get rid of them. But it's the best thing I have found.
AKA Jess,
Thanks for the suggestion! It seems like salt, of one form or another, may be the answer. At least that's what I'm hoping!!!!!
Thank you all!!!!
luv u guys,
susiq

susiq, In the book, "Mold Warriors" it appears that folks with toxic issues from Lyme or environmental stuff seem to be suceptible to MRSA staphlococcus infections of the upper nasal passages. You might want to go to the doc and get an upper nasal swab and lab diagnosis.
In any case, my personal solution would be one of the above rinses rather than abx. but you might want to find out.

susiq,
ask your doctor for bactroban ointment... not the cream... although it is not indicated for nasal use, it is often prescribed for nasal use... place a half inch to inch squeeze in each nostril and work in thoroughly a couple of times a day for 5-7 days... then use as needed from there... feels gross like putting vasoline in your nose, but after a few minutes that sensation goes away... they also make a specific bactroban nasal product... i have always just used the ointment as that is what my doc always precribed...
bactroban ointment contains 2% mupirocin... a very powerful staph killer... even kills mrsa... it is also semi-affective against the morg pathogen... hope that helps...
