I was looking for the member that posted yesterday that was also from Little Rock. Could you please let me know if your vet gave you any meds for your dogs? I have two dogs(boxers). The oldest is 6 and the other is 4. I have always took great care of them til this all started. I was 9 months pregnant and bathing them before I went in for c-section. Now, I hardly go around them. It is so sad. I am thinking about giving them to someone that could better care for them, because I can't do all the things for them they are accustomed to. They were like my babies. Now, I feel like I have neglected them also. Do you remember when kthv did the run on women in little rock with mysterious disease

to binarky, my vet told me to give my dog liquid ivermectin for any type of rash or parasites . i know what you mean about the time element. I have 4 dogs and 2 teenagers at home and 2 grandkids who come over weekends. my life is taking long baths, rubbing on creams, picking off black specks. all my family is suffering over my condition. I have had it with doctors and i want to confess to you something crazy i did. i have been taking collidal silver, salt tabs, vit.c, but one thing worked the best but may be dangerous to me and i wouldn't encourage anyone else to do it. I bought ivermectin at the farm supply and started giving it to my 4 dogs regularly...every month i give doses by weight. the red mange rash disappeared and they seemed to have more energy /. The ivermectin also prevents heart worms and parasites. I bought some capsules and shot the ivermectin in the caps and i took the caps orally by my weight. Within a day or two i experienced flu symptoms like every muscle in my body was hurting. I ran fever, my glands were swollen. i got really scared that I had hurt myself with the ivermectin but was afraid to tell my doctor who sent me to the 3 specialists who said I was dellusional. They sent me for some tests and a ct scan thinking that my pain was a kidney stone. No stone, nothing showed on test but I was sick for a week. Two doctors asked me what is all this sediment in your urine? Now I am convinced that the ivermectin gave me the herx. and was ridding me of the critters i have had since 2000. I have taken great specimins in to my doctors who ignore me and tell me that it is lint and fabric. I have suffered along time and have tracks on my arms and scars on my back and neckline. I always felt good about myself and had great skin. Now I wear long sleeves and collars and i even have problems with my husband patting or rubbing my back since i always have open ulcers, anyway the ivermectin was great and would have cleared the critters out/did for a while/but I was afraid that I was hurting myself. How sad that intellegent people have to go to such horrible extremes because the doctors will not help them.. I have a microscope and continue to check out my critters but i sometimes get very depressed/hopeless,embarassed. My husband has been supportive but now he is getting tired of the amount of time i spend trying to eradicate the critters. I am hyper-alert of bugs covering all my sofas and washing bed sheets daily and poor dogs get showered probably too much. I dont know i just feel better having this website. it has been a life support since i discovered it a few months ago. i am not good with the computer or typing but i am driven to try to get help for myself and others. what about the animals and children who cant explain the symptoms how sad i get thinking about thrm. ive rambled too long and i thank you for contacting me back. may God bless you and lets all get throught this together. wolfe 1

to bb, I found the article Nightmare of Morgellons disease Little rock, AR Fox 16 aired on 5-27-05. reported by Jennifer Akers. After this article was viewed it was the first time my own extended family really believed i wasn't just delusional and not just picking and scratching at nothing. if I was a bit/ alot more computer savvy i would send you the article. My thoughts on Ivermectin::: Cut the dosage in half--OR MORE and take a cautious approch---go for say two weeks and increase gradually---half a dose is better than none or full per weight, Does the package give any time restrictions? It didn't kill the dogs so there is a good chaance it won't you either unless you have another health problems that could contraindicate its use. Did you notice any eleviation of symptoms from this last go around? What is CUMANDA Address:http://www.bionatus.com/nutramedix/pages/cumanda_what.htm Changed:7:01 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2005

Orion,
I happened on to a site as I was searching for doses of ivermectin for humans. It was a rosacea support group site and they were stating that oral ivermectin is now being used very effectively for rosacea. It makes a huge difference in their flushing triggers and facial symptoms. It talked about how ivermectin is an anti-mite drug related to the macrolide antibiotics. It has a good safety profile and they stated that it has less side-effects than most anti-biotics. They even gave a treatment regimen and dosage for the rosacea. Why not the same thing safely for us. ? I'm going to do it and let you know how it goes. I have been on 3 acres of land with farms ,horses, cattle, all around me. We have safely used ivermectin on our animals for a long time. Why can't we get help...it seems so simple for me. We shouldn't have to take risks out of desperation. I can get generic ivermectin at the farm supply for $25. I am currently using topically. The specks hate it and come to the surface. It is so strange how I can wipe off the specks and look down and they have surfaced again.

Wolfe1,
Ivermectin is used on onchocercal volvulus in Africa. They are given 1 pill a year and is supposed to hold the oncho off. It kills the microfilaria. What happens with this is the black fly bites someone who has onchocerciasis, then it bites you or me and we then have it. Helen Keller went blind from this. Jimmy Carter has a foundation concerning this in other countries, but, it is never looked at here. They say we never get it here. The same with Chagas Disease. If is endemic in Mexico.
We sweep it under the rug, here, and yet we all keep writing about the microfilaria type fibers.
They like Wolbachia bacteria.

You both make excellet points. I had a lady on Cape Cod that suffered with rosecaria sp for twenty years--I advised her to go on a candida diet and it cleared up almost ever night- The mainstream medical just gave her more antibiotics which naturally exasorbated the problem. Her husband is a chronic lyme . The black specs that you talk about that surface with the ivermicn ----have you ever looked at them under the microscope? I have and they are the black fiber coming unwound---I mean these suckers are small-can't see them hardly--I have to use a magnifying glass to lift them with my pocket knofe then wipe on a white piece of paper to observe with the scope. My pores are full of them. I still think that there is a microbe working in symbiosis with the fiber (nematode) This is the result of exotic bioengineering---I wonder how vastly this is distributed over the globe---This Africa bit you talk about is extreemly interesting to me--after all HIV came from there --via Plum Island or similar place...This sucks because somebody out there knows the whole story and what the cure is..engineered genicide?

There is enough grossly false information being passed around about those suffering from Morgellons and similar diseases/infestations to allow such a grossly false statement not to be brought to task. It's plain shameful. Suffers of Morgellons deserve to be taken seriously. There will continue to be eye rolling, snickering and disbelief as long as conspiracy theories, absurd claims and grossly false information continues to be thrown out there.
