Hello everyone. I have a question for everyone on the board. Please help me with a short answer.... or long. In your own personal experience with Morgellons, which would you say you have? Please feel free to add any comments if you want to clarify anything. Thanks all ! (I know this is kind of a survey, but I hope the mods let me keep it here for a few days)

B Mostly fibers; not much bugs, some bugs only partly formed like a wing or foot part
and I have seen the atenna's on some samples. Since on Tetracycline and Flagyl, like zero bugs or bug parts (very rare), way less fibers, extremely rare for itching or crawlies, Had a few smaller than a pencil erasor lesions appear on my knee just this week. BUt no lesions to really speak of since my initial LESION outbreak in 2005 on my leg and then 9 months later on my arm.
Lesions were on left leg....................... then later appeared on left arm.
Lyme..............often can start out unilateral and then progress to bilateral.
Now, I can get lesions on my left side. Mostly, it's from me pulling those hang nail looking things and I cause a break in the skin and then it has "things" in it that I have to pull out for it to heal.

At this point 1 1/2 yrs into this nightmare.. I still have mostly mites (bugs) that are all over my body .. some so small they come out of my pores... I am now getting a red, sore rash all over my thighs and back, they have large pimple like eruptions that have a 'head' on them and then that suddenly disappears and a scab forms and it heals.. I find the tiny mites everywhere.. I check my hands all the time because I don't feel them they are so small. I have fibers too .. not as many since I brought up my PH... lots of small ones come off my scalp. Sometimes my back is really itchy and if I use a lint roller on it a long fiber will be on it. Pinkish color mostly...
so the answer: more bugs -- some fibers.....

fibers.. mistaken for "bugs" because it's the first thing anyone without any knowledge of what this is would think while feeling the crawling and biting sensations.

also quite possibly our physiology has changed such that we are more succeptable to things that bite... namely things that bite plants / sugar etc..
during the summer i am constantly bitten by tiny ants on my legs... they are attracted to me like they are to spilled soda. they don't bite my roomate.. only me.. so cellulose polysaccharide fibers.. are delicious to them.
this may go along with other anthropods.
because of a changed physiology involved in our skin/bodies...

Toni says: Ditto
And I have more "bugs" I think than fibers, but then again...I don't really know if they're "bugs" meaning, I can't decipher if they're animal or plant that come out of my skin. Seriously, can't tell what these "things" are.

More bugs, less fibers But then again, who knows for sure?? I've never seen the bugs, per se, but have seen their waves and spinning motion when they fall in water. but fibers too are here.

I think C (about 50/50). I can see the fibers all over the place. I hate the way I can clean a surface (such as my car dash) and a week later it's covered with a thick coat of them.
I have trouble seeing the bugs unless I use a scope, but I feel what to me seems like bugs. In the early days when this seemed like scabies I used the usual treatment, and that got temporary results. That also makes me think a bug (or two) is involved. To me, "bug" could be very small insect/parasite or could be very large bacteria.

i have mostly fibers and fibers shaped like bugs or bugs in forming stage. what little body hear i can grow now comes in sometimes shaped like bugs too. i swear some of the 'hairs' look to have heads and mouths of a snake or serpent. i have had something fly of or out of me on a couple different occasions.

Dearest Ivanhole these wretched fibre balls do contain a parasite I AM SURE and they spin this stuff around themselves just like a cocoon and they cling to what ever they become attached too. I HATE THEM WITH SOOOO MUCH VENGANCE!!! I have had to throw out really really nice clothes bedding shoes slippers because of these wretched things. I am dreading Winter coming upon us, because that means winter clothes. They are not so bad at all with summer clothing. But golly gosh they love winter clothes and breed in them and yuk yuk yuk. I can put on a winter jumper and within 5 to 10 minutes I am itching like mad!!!!! cann't wear them again. I cann't wash as much as I do in summer I wash bedding and clothing everyday but in winter obviously I cann't because I don't have a dryer. I think that maybe drying your washing in the dryer could h elp kill these things. That is just a guess. Oddly enough they don't affect my jeans.. I wonder if it is because the fabric is sooo thick and I have about 8 pairs from the op shop and never wear the same ones twice. It is my jumpers and jackets that seem to be riddled with these wretched things.!!!!! Honestly I feel like screaming when I have to throw any clothing out. But it is the only thing to do. Sorry for moaning. Much love to all. Roberta.

Finally a question I can answer. I had more insects exit my body than anything else...nightmare beyond belief. It has been a while now but I don't know if they are really gone. But thank God I cant see it happening any longer no microscope needed thank you. I have more fibers now but smaller finer...
Do I think its a (BUG) as in insect well for me... yes. Also a fungus and a bacteria. Whatever is lingering now ...well I just stick to my program and give my brain a rest and live a little. I am much much better but not cured or carefree.

Crawling was my worst symptom --
If I knew what produced the crawling, I could answer the question. Did I have fiber involvement? yes
Did I have conventional-looking bugs? no
Do I think the "bugs" could be bacterial or fungal or viral? yes In that sense, I had bugs.
Conclusion--probably 50 /50 Do I still have lingering symptoms? Yes
Do I think this is more than skin deep? yes
Do I test postivie for Lyme? yes

p.s. bugs- some of the things I found reminded me more of minerals--the dark specks often looked like they were minerals rather than moving bugs.
