Sorry about the lame brain JWF but are you saying that those of us with stomach acid problems should use coconut milk with lipase in it? I have always found your information to be credible and very helpful, so I want to make sure I buy the right kind. I am prone to a lot of stomach problems. Thank you. Angie

The original post from Patti on this thread does point out that an anti-fungal has activity against Lyme- a bacteria. Of course when you take antibiotics to kill bacteria you also run the risk of destroying all of your friendly gut bacteria-- digestion goes south. Then our ever-present nemesis Candida gets a real good foothold which poisons your whole body. Now you really do need an anti-fungal/anti-yeast supplement. Coconut is all three- antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-yeast and is very important in helping your immune system combat other problems as well.
Short of having fresh coconut to eat and drink, there is a lot of controversy about who has the best coconut oil. The processing leaves a lot to be desired, especially when cooked and refined to the point that it no longer tastes good or has any viable fatty acids, or lipase to help digest them. Virgin is good, but unlike in humans, there are different degrees of virginity. ;D Here are some websites that may help you decide what to buy and from whom:

Well, its time to go to St. Croix where my brother- in-law grows coconut palms. MMmmmm- I can taste that fresh coconut milk now.
To Floridagal: yes, I am a pilot and helicopters, even gyros, are also a dream. More later on Seven Forest Herbs for Spirochetes.

Hi Optimistic,
Isatis 6 and Forsythia 18 are the two that we use. It seems the best place to buy may be your local acupuncturist.
The Seven Forests herb formula tablet Isatis 6 provides isatis leaf, hu-chang, and andrographis from the list of herbs given above, and the Seven Forests formula Forsythia 18 provides forsythia, gardenia, scute, phellodendron, and coptis, which are also on that list. Together, these formulas may provide the bacterial inhibition that is sought from Chinese herbs in a convenient form of administration (suggested dosage would be 3-5 tablets of each formula, three times daily).
