Wow, great. I just got back from the store, got everything you suggested (will order Raintree when this batch runs out but wanted to get started right away). Did you have fibers, I don't, just the constant feeling of inchworms crawling on my skin, it doesn't even really itch, I've had lyme for over a decade though, my hair (I'm a 43 started falling out about a year ago but it really doesn't look like normal baldness at all). I swear, I starting pounding garlic a couple of weeks ago and my hair seems better already, who knows, probably best wishes. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I have Morgs even without the fibers.
My fear is can my kids get this? They don't have lyme.

Hi Mike, We had the red, blue, and clear fibers on our skin along with the black dots; all could easily be seen with a pocket scope from Radio Shack.
I was starting to get red bumps not associated with the fibers when we started the Cat's Claw. Then the crazy itching and crawling sensations started to lessen.
The menthol crystals had an immediate effect, so that was a must have item. The herbs gradually knocked out whatever was causing the symptoms.
Since no one really knows what Morgellons is, and sometimes it spreads to whole families and their pets, and sometimes it doesn't, it's anybodies guess about how it may be transmitted.
If you want to hear from folks with a lot of ideas and opinions jump on over to the Morgellons board.

John, my last post then I'll leave you alone, has anyone ever reported that their Morgellons is gone following your recommended regiment?

Hi Mike,
Not that I know of. It's still relatively new and I think difficult for most people to adhere to. Those who follow Stephen Buhner's advice may be having some success.
Some of these herbs are proven anti-spirochetes, but there are so many co-infections to deal with, like Babesia Cat Scratch fever, and Ehrlichia, and I don't think we had any of those.
Since very little research is done on Lyme healing we are the test subjects. It may be years before our society wakes up to the damage that Lyme disease has already done, much less the potential fallout. I still have the utmost faith in the healing power of herbs. Especially for chronic conditions that require years of therapy. My wife and I have our good health for now, and we feel that others can do the same.

Update on results:
Just a reminder here that any dietary changes we made to combat Morgellons and Lyme disease must include these herbs and supplements that were posted for you folks back in August, 2005. (March '04-- but board memory was lost)
Since then we have three people and two dogs who feel, act, and appear healthy after going through hell ..... Only two of us humans took all of the following; the others got well on much less:
Cat's Claw Teasel Olive Leaf Extract Seven Forest Herbal formulas for Spirochetes Triphala Sarsaparilla Kyolic Garlic formula 103 (Immune) Pau d'Arco Folic Acid NAC(Cysteine) Ionic Silver Oregano Grape Seed Extract Artemisinin for Babesia
While scientists study, and the CDC launches and convenes, and the NIH funds poorly designed studies to support a preordained outcome, you do have the option to help your- self with herbs, supplements, improved diet, and exercise.
If you wait for the powers that be to shed light on your condition, you may have a long wait.
My advice is free. Maybe that is why so few have tried what has worked for us. We have felt that our success should be shared. It was a huge gift that my wife and I were both herbalists, and my background in nutrition (M.Ed.) helped over- come the battle with Morgellons and LD. Our gift to you is that all this has been made available on LymeBusters and Lyme- Net.

Thank you JWF, for your ongoing support.
The Good Lord willing, I plan to add more of your supplements to my list this year. Already use most of them- and I'm worlds better than I was a few years back.
Thanks again- Happy New Year!

Hi Pam,
Here is a post that I made on LymeNet that includes some of the information on the two Seven Forest Formulas that are used against spirochetes:
posted 20 March, 2007 07:12 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The two Seven Forest formulas that I took were Forsythia 18 and Isatis 6.
Forsythia 18:
Forsythia 8%, Lonicera 8%, Platycodon 7%, Chrysanthemum 7%, Schizonepeta 6%, Gardenia 6%, Cnidium 6%, Scute 6%, Peony 5%, Bupleurum 5%, Siler 5%, Tang-Kuei 5%, Arctium 5%, Vitex 5%, Phellodendron 5%, Coptis 4%, Licorice 4%, Myrrh 2%
Isatis 6:
Isatis 25%, Hu-chang 15%, Prunella 15%, Oldenlandia 15%, Andrographis 15%, Lonicera 15%
We took 9/day of each formula (700 mg. tabs) so our intake of
Andrographis= 945 mg/day Coptis = 252 mg/day
This amount of each herb mixed in with the two formulas never seemed to cause a problem.
Herbs used to combat LEPTOSPIROSIS in China:
*Isatis leaf,*Isatis root, Smilax,*Gardenia *Andrographis,*Hu-chang,*Coptis, Chien-li-kuang *Scute, Verbena,*Phellodendron, Sanguisorba *Forsythia, Ching-hao
If you take the two Seven Forest formulas then you get *8 known anti-spirochete herbs . In addition, Smilax or Sarsaparilla has been discussed quite a bit, and Chinng-hao you may recognize as Artemisia.
As a rule of thumb, we never took Artemesia or Artemisinin at the same time as the Seven Forest Formulas.
The Artemesia seemed to combat Lyme better than the Artemisinin, but that is a subjective conclusion.
There are several online sources for the Seven Forest Herbal Formulas. It is recommended that you buy them from an ND, acupuncturist, or knowledgeable practitioner.

Wow - thanks so much. I looked over the hundreds of formulas and was totally at a loss. Thank you so much for all your help. Please excuse us for not researching each formula individually, but as you understand--we are all so very tired. With lyme and morg and all the incoming informtion, we try to keep up, but it's almost impossible. You're wonderful to keep posting after you got well. Thanks, Pam

My MY John, you have helped so many and including myself.
Everyone here is very supportive. I don't know how long I would have lasted if it had not been
for this message board.
I bought the peppermint oil, yesterday, placed it on my sheets, pillow case, and even on me.
I slept like a baby last night! Praise God! Thank you John.
Now, I need to buy the menthol crystals. I have spent so much money....but I' am not about
to give up!
Seriously, things were really bad until I came here. Yall, do not know.....oh please forgive me, I'am sure you do know, but I was planning my suicide.
Then some how, I found this board. Amazing! Then through the number of messages from different ones, it has even given a part of my life back.
I was boiling all my clothes and linen every day......tons of hours spent in the kitchen....but a wonderful person here, Barb, told me to wash my clothes in borax and ammonia. Hey it worked wonders....no more hours spent in the kitchen.....Praise God!
Some have come to me, just to say, I' am here for you if you need me. That means so much to me.
Thank you, John and thank you to all of you, who have helped so much. Please keep making noise.....we have to....it's the only way we can get anything done.

Hi Fly,
Thank you for the thank you. For an update, our most recent purchase of menthol crystals was from Wholesale Supplies Plus:

Under $20/ lb. and great quality.
Also, we find that 20 mule-team borax and a wash detergent with enzymes works fine to debug all laundry. Blue Skies...........John

Hi Folks,
Just a short update to give you some feedback on Allimax, the British formulation of garlic that was mentioned on this board awhile back.
My wife and I just started this supplement about 10 days ago and we are noticing some big energetic changes and healing. We give it a big seal of approval.
Garlic is a super herb. It's great for digestion, the cardio- vascular system, and as an antibiotic fights Lyme disease.
Allimax makes allicin available to a greater extent than any other form of garlic, according to the new findings. www.allimax.us/

Hi Friskers,
We take just one a day because that is what is recommended. Hopefully the Lyme study using Allimax will come out soon and we will know how much was used for the great results they reportedly got.
Happy New Year from a big fan of yours!

Hi Friskers,
We are big garlic eaters, too. But this Allimax seems to have more kick than we could possibly match eating raw garlic. We breathe on a lot of people, daily, and we still have lots of friends, so no caveat there.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.

There has been some discussion recently about healing of skin lesions. Artimesia or artemesia has been used for 100's of years to combat bacterial, protozoa, and fungal infections, both internal and on the skin. If I had lesions, artemisia or artemisinin would be on my short list to try.
www.itmonline.org/arts/chinghao.htm
Ching-hao refers to the tops of Artemisia annua
Ching-hao was described in the Shennong Bencao Jing (1) where it was listed as caohao:
Caohao is bitter and cold. It mainly treats skin bugs, itchy scabs, and malign sores; it kills lice, relieves lodged heat in the joints, and brightens the eyes. Its other name is qinghao.
OTHER PARASITES AND INFECTIONS
In addition to antimalarial effects, artemisinin was found to have promise in treating the parasitic diseases schistosomiasis and clonorchiasis (common in China and Africa, affecting over 200 million people each year) caused by trematodes (blood flukes). Artemether is now being used for prophylaxis against schistosomiasis; in combination therapy with praziquantel it is used to treat the disease (22). Ching-hao is included in effective treatments for leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that usually infects humans from animal waste contaminating water supplies. It has been shown in laboratory studies to inhibit Toxoplasma gondii, an organism that mainly affects persons with compromised immunity, acquired from pets or from eating contaminated meat, and Leishmania major, a protozoa that infects the macrophages. As described earlier, ching-hao was indicated in ancient times for topical treatment of skin parasites. In post-revolutionary China, an antiseptic fumigant was developed using the combination of moxa leaves plus atractylodes (cangzhu). This combination, burned to produce a cleansing smoke, was reported to serve as protection from viruses and bacteria in hospitals; both herbs contributed to the action (4). Recent investigations of the chemical constituents of ching-hao and other Artemisia species have focused on antifungal activity. An oil produced from the herb after its artemisinin was removed, called huanghua oil (yellow flower oil; huanghuahao is another name for ching-hao) was shown to be strongly anti-fungal for all skin fungi tested (26).
