I've read more than once that the colored fibers, often microscopic, are in all our bodily fluids, including urine. The nurse at my doctor's office even told me that, years ago when she was in training, she looked at a patient's urine under a high powered microscope and saw all these colored fibers! She KNEW she had a "clean specimen", and it wasn't environmental contamination, so she called the doctor over to look at it. Of course, he dismissed it... So here's my question: Has anyone who had a really good microscope looked at a tiny drop of urine? If that is true - that we ALL have it in our urine, wouldn't that be a simple diagnostic test??? Does anyone know what magnification is required for this? Not that any of us needs the test! BUT - maybe, if this were a consistent symptom, we might be able to get doctors to look at it - maybe even CDC/Kaiser - lol... Bessie

You know what Bessie? You may have a good idea here. Any idea on how to execute this?
Back some months we were talking about getting our blood matched up as they do when they are looking for a cure for a disease (Lorenzo's oil...I must have watched that show at least 50 times in a 6 month span) anyways, if that is true or at the very least think it may be true... you may have hit on something. I need to think but my first thought/question would be... Who would be willing to accept samples of urine that has a scope? and then comes to mind. Has anyone with a scope looked at their urine and has seen the fibers in them? Would like to hear from anyone on this subject...
I need to think. Any ideas?
Thank you Bessie... A lot!!
Skytroll where are you? you better not be out having a life teehee or having fun without me...

Well....I too thought that's a great idea...so I just "went" in a paper cup, (felt like I was at the docs) hehe but I've got a disposable eye dropper and I'll check that out on a slide right now.
Be back...

Just checked it out. Nothing in mine, that I can see.
I might not be a good candidate, because I drink so much (that sounds funny), but what I mean is I drink daily (average 2 gallons) of fluids.
Juice Iced tea Water every few days milk
It's only 12:30 here now and I've put down 32 oz of apple juice, 16 oz of Ovaltine in a glass of milk, and 16 oz of water, and 2 cups of coffee this morn.
I never have a problem "going" that's a fact.
But I think by how much fluids I drink, I flush everything out that even thought about being in there.

I need a better microscope. So, am working on that.
Hey, I just went outside, and found that the sun is shining, Cheetah. I am in

Toni _ Good for you!!!..lol...keep that bladder clean! Of course, I can't remember where I read that about the urine, so I don't even know if it's valid. Then, of course, I don't know how much magnification is needed. I doubt that the nurse who saw those fibers would remember, it being years ago, but I will give her a call on Monday. At the least, I am sure that SOME, if not many, of us have them in our urine. I think we all have microscopic ones in our skin, but I've only seen fibers once that were large enough to seen with the naked eye (about 2 inches long). Has anyone seen the ones in their skin that are found under unbroken skin? How much magnification? Bessie

Re urine testing - on my website (judithnd.com) in the My Story section I recommend that people, even those in a family who do not have the lesions, do a simple urine study on their loved ones. There are 4 photos there that were taken from under a microscope of urine fibers found. You should urinate in a coffee filter for a 24 hr collection be sure to clean yourself well prior to urination to avoid getting other possible fibers involved - and you do not need a mircroscope - a 10X magnifying glass or a jewlers loupe works fine. Put the filter on a white plate or backing to lay it flat after the 24 hour collection and study it under good lighting. It takes some time to really analyse the filter properly. Everyone who has these fibers has this virus - however there could be many times when fibers do not show up and they still have the virus. However if you have fibers and if loved ones have the fibers you all do have the virus - sores - or no symptoms at all - it is there! If you go to my website excuse my sarcastic comment about doctors not doing this because it seems so simple and yet I have never once known of doctors doing this test? I guess it does not matter since they have no idea of how to treat it anyway.
Another pretty good test is the red wine swish in the mouth. As I do the light therapy treatments my tongue is always tingling and I continually get this crap coming out of my gums, tongue and cheeks so it may be nearly as good as the urine test, faster and easier too.
This condition is epidemic but most people have no idea they are infected YET! Judy K

Dear Bessie I find them under my skin all the time and using vaseline brings them out. I also find them in my ears, nose and scalp. They really freak me out apart from the itching these things move. They sway up and down and side ways. It is ghastly I try and burn them with a cigarette lighter and most times they burn down and what is left is a small black speck that can be easily seen with the naked eye. Love and best wishes.Roberta.

Roberta - How are you Robbie? Everyone has been so concerned for you, you've gone through such a hard time recently. I know it's not over,so REMEMBER - everyone here is thinking of you and cares what happens to you. Try to take solace in that and remember that you aren't alone. As far as the fibers go, I get something different from under my skin, it's kind of flesh colored, and rolls into little balls because I'm massaging cream into my arms to get it out. I've never seen red or blue fibers of any size, but my one and only experiment with a microscope was so horrifying I never looked into it again. I think some people (like maybe me) have microscopic colored ones. If it weren't for reading, I would say I didn't have any at all. Maybe the same is true for urine - only some have visible ones?? Sheesh...doesn't it seem that there is always at least one exception to just about any generalization we try to make about this stuff??? Bessie

Hi Folks, I've been a member for quite awhile but have purposely stayed in the background. I have had Morgellons or whatever they want to call it for 9 years. I have been researching this disease since the beginning...I am an inveterate researcher. My deceased husband was a micro/bacteriologist who worked on the samples for Love Canal...we were threatened many times...he died from the diseases he was testing.
Bessie, Yes I have done slides of my blood, urine, feces, sputum, hair, skin, you name it...I purchased a high powered scope 3 years ago and have several thousand digital slides...and YES there are fibers in the urine...not just in mine, but in samples sent from others. Sidney can verify my integrity and authenticity if you have questions.
Just 2 weeks ago while on a gov't website with another person who has this disease, BOTH of our computers started acting strangely...long story short, it corrupted my hardrive (total destruction) and just scrambled things on his! They took everything that they wanted, all of my email, phone numbers, contacts, investigators, medical reports, the book I've been writing for more than 10 years, etc. Nothing could be restored and believe me, I had professionals who do this work, trying every avenue!
I have been working in the background for all of us, and I hope that you understand why I haven't come forward before. I'm taking a chance now and will have to change my name again! If you have any questions, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability....PM me if you wish.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of us...I just hope that our work around the globe to identify what this is, will happen during my lifetime!
Love to all, ctbarb

robertslouise26, please try GOLD BOND HEALING LOTION. This makes them so slick they pop out.
bessie, without the microscope I wouldn't see the colored fibers, they look like a black dot with my eyes.
I will try the coffee filter test on myself and my husband. will update later.

Hi Ctbarb!
Good to see you here!
If you have any pics of the fibers in urine would you mind posting them? I'm sure they're there, (in our urine) my scope just isn't powerful enough or (that specimen I looked at just didn't have them).
Actually any pics you have are very helpful too.
Thank you.

Hi Barb are you the Barb whom I have spoken to previously? Just wondering. To everyone : Here is the link to my site www.judithnd.com/My%20Story.htmlwhere I have posted 4 pics of fibers taken out of a coffee filter and put under a microscope. These do not happen to be mine but I have seen the same things many times. They are in our tissues and apparently in all our fluids but the conventional medical people do not know what to look for and do not know what to do about it if they did see it everyday (which they would if they ever looked!) The good news it anyone can do this with just a 10x magnifying glass and many people who do not have sores are going to find out they have this virus too! If you went there and viewed the pics note the second one... it is segmented... the fiber appears to be forming into something! No surprise there for us either hey! Happy Father's Day Dads - Judy K

I just went to the site and read your page.
It is my story almost exactly....down to the plantar fascitis and all!!!!!!
The only difference is my lesions are on my face. I've had this since '94 and have never had a lesion anywhere else other than my face.
It was like reading my own story.....eerie!!!
thanks for sharing

Great idea , I will be working soon on getting testing kits for us ,sputum test and skin scraping samples and possibly blood smears for fungus .
Let us know how to do urine testing the best way and I'll include this information in the kit I plan to send to whomever wants one. I will not charge anyone a dime for this nor will I accept any money.
I figure my time is worth money to myself and I'm spending to much time trying to figure this crap out when what we need the most is to compare samples.
We might not find the origin of Morgellons but this will perhaps give us a piece of the puzzle.

ctbarb - I don't doubt a word of what you are saying. As unimportant as I am, my computer has had inexplicable issues, including being re-routed to another (unknown) server. This morning I couldn't get on the internet - my WLAN was mysteriously disconnected. I called the company, which I have done many times, but this time they were not able to find any record of my account (through my phone number). Never happened before. Later, I mysteriously was able to access the internet - but my WLAN remains "disconnected". So what. Who am I? Your account of what has happened to your computer is DEVASTATING! These things don't just happen, and the fact that you have been so involved with finding answers (and, heaven forbid! publishing what you know) speaks volumes. Thank you for your feedback about fibers in urine. It would be so cool if we could figure out which magnifications are needed to see them - my guess is there are different sizes. A somewhat standardized test that could easily be conducted in any doctor's office would be GREAT. The next hurdle would be to get the word to doctors about how and why this should be done....gee, maybe CDC could spread the word? Maybe then they could get some real data about how wide spread this is? Wouldn't that help their investigation?!? I came from CT 3 1/2 years ago to FL. Was a supervisor in corrections in mental health and addiction services for many years. How ironic - here I am now, delusional! Bessie

These hyphae/fibers dont grow in alkaline If your urine pH is around 5 or 6 acidic or below... then you're probably going to find the fibers. That's what i have found to be the case.

toni, my sister was told many years ago when she was drinking a gallon of water a day that TOO MUCH FLUIDS CAN BE DANGEROUS! It can flush everything out of you, and then you won't have enough nutrition for your body. She had zero energy.

All - I just watched that Carnicom video where the red wine thing was talked about. Did I understand it correctly, that you simply take a mouthful and swish it for 30-45 seconds, then spit it out, and you'll see fibers? Just wondreing... Bessie
