I tend to think those move when removed. Did you see any activity from the fibers pictured? The last one reminds me of when the fake skin/biofilm forms and if it gets pulled away the fibers look like that! I've always thought the white fibers remind me of a spider's webbing. Sometimes single fibers will have branches or another fiber that's smaller stuck to it, though. Enjoying the pics because it gives me confidence that someone is trying to find answers! Thank you!

Oops! Hit send by mistake! Sorry Itchin and TL! Anyway, I've not had any luck with doctors, and have had night sweats since probably 2007, (i'm 41) but not sweating like this, so maybe menopause, symptom of Med., or just another symptom of Morg. Either way, the only other steps I've taken is registering with OSU in hopes of a study. I probably have 3 lesions/sores right now, with the jaw line obviously being the worst! 2 on my leg and one on my arm. Get a bug bite, get a scratch, its gonna have fibers and stay a while!! Blurry vision and always clear milky "goo" in my eyes. I sleep a lot and have lost a good amount of weight. I have no appetite, and have to make myself eat. I cannot use Sulfa because I am allergic and have gone into anaphylactic shock after taking orally. Even So, tried silver sulfide (prescribed burn cream) and it didn't seem to cause a reaction but did not help. Sorry this is so long, but I have to tell you TL, I caught Speckled trout, but had more fun helping friends from Germany fish for the first time! It was a blast! And, Guess what? They had heard of morgellons and looked up several articles in German to read to me! Also, a relief and sad at the same time.

Hi Itchin, and good to hear from you again, TorpedoLynn! I am very much appreciative, as you are the first people who have the same EXaCT symptoms as me, and it is such a relief in a very difficult time to know this, I had this for a year, and 9 months of Accutane before I had even heard of Morgellons. I do not have a doctor caring for me,

Hi TorpedoLynn! I've Been on a fishing trip and just got back! The night sweats definitely could be menopause beginning, and I definitely wish I could get a microscope! I just wish it would heal already! I've had the one lesion on my jaw for 2.5 years.

This is my first attempt at posting a link of some photos. I have the blue thin fibers, the black bundle fibers, and the white ones that appear to move, as well, but I do not have the technology of photographing. An old jeweler magnifying glass shows two separate fibers over 2-3 inches long. The one photo of the bed shows how bad my night sweats are!

That is a Long time for you and your family! My daughter was treated immediately with IV of Doxycycline, then oral for two months. She has really shown no other side affects, and I pray she never will! She lives on her own now, and is doing great! The connections I look for are the fact I lived on military posts for 8.5 years, I do a lot of salt water fishing in Florida, and the house we are in, is in a heavily wooded area that has many ticks, spiders, and snakes, lol! The research about the soil intrigues me because I had to clean out leaf litter that was over five years worth! My first symptoms started at the point when i started working in the yard, and after a trip salt water fishing in Key West. The doctor assumed I. My first visit it was staph, but at the time I had a student in my class with staph, too. I also have gotten Pneumonia twice in the past two years, which I've never had before. I just can't make myself understand how we( people that spread thousands of miles from each other, can all have pretty much the same symptoms, and produce fibers that look the same, yet we are all delusional. I try to rationalize and tell myself it's just ingrown hairs and that i have very sensitive skin, however, I know deep down its way more!

Hello again, TorpedoLynn, I have had several other symptoms like night sweats, weight loss(no appetite), and blurred vision. I was in Accutane for 6 months and blame that for my continuous stomach problems, but you are probably right in that it has to be Morgellons. I am not on disability, I started an at-home business making scarves and selling them to local boutiques. I feel like I would deserve disability, and I miss teaching so much. This has been a thing I feel I have to hide because my family members do not understand what's going on, nor do the doctors. I hate going anywhere because people look at me like I'm contagious or a meth head or something! I have lived in several states in the past ten years, Minnesota, Florida, Alabama, and Germany. I was married to someone in the military at the time and lived on base. My daughter had Lyme disease about 10 years ago and was hospitalized for 7 days. I try to see if any of these geographical areas, or if my daughter's condition has any link. I too, would like to be tested for Lyme. Hope today is a good day for both of us and thanks for sharing and allowing me to share!

Hi TorpedoLynn! I have been following you all for a while, and I can't tell you how nice it is to know I'm not alone! I had to quit my job as an elementary teacher because the first doctor thought it was staph infection or mRSa, and at the time i had 3 lesions on my face. I stay in most of the time because people are brazen enough to ask what is wrong because I have a large lesion on my jaw. I have been to 2 dermatologist, a wound specialist clinic, and a general surgeon. I have not been back to a doctor in over 8 months. The last one did another biopsy thinking it was skin cancer, and it came up negative. Of course, they say it is just because I pick at it! I have cleaned the lesions with Dial soap and water, let them dry, and cover them for 2-3 days, and then when the bandaid comes off , there are the hairs, fibers, and black bundles and specks. Anytime I get a bug bite, or a cut, or any opening he stinging, and the feeling of sharp glass under the skin occurs, and of course they blossom into a lesion. I have some pics and will try and get them up. I'm new at this because I've always just read the threads, not replied, so gotta figure out the link thing. Thank you again, and hope for relief for us ALL!

I live in Alabama. I've been seen by five different doctors, and I have had lesions for over 2 years.
