www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25594124/They’re the bullies of the operating room, the browbeaters of bedside manner: doctors, nurses and other clinicians who make a habit of behaving badly. They yell, they cuss, they throw things. Or they engage in more subversive behaviors: ignoring questions, acting impatient, insulting colleagues or speaking to them in condescending tones. “It can go from verbal abuse to sexual harassment and physical assault,” said Dianne Felblinger, an associate professor of nursing at the University of Cincinnati who studies medical intimidation. Wow, that's really something. I've never seen that kind of behavior (thank goodness) from medical people, but if I did, I'd of reported it. I think anyone doing a pubic service no differently than police, (but especially health care) should be brought to an evaluation like (internal affairs) if there's ever a complaint.

Sounds like Bill O'Reilly.... I worked in hospitals most of my career and unfortunately saw some of this. The worst I saw was when an adolescent female in a psych unit was grabbed by her shirt and shoved against a wall by a psychiatrist. The girl had attempted suicide by shooting herself through the abdomen, narrowly missing her spine as the bullet went through. Because of the injury she was supposed to wear a brace, which she kept neglecting to do (duh...she didn't want to live?). So she kept getting sent out of morning rounds (everyone was there) to go put on her brace. This sociopathic "psychiatrist" followed her out that morning and showed her who was boss. He didn't realize he had a witness (me). But you should see what happens in prisons! Ouch!!! Bessie

I have heard of some stories about prisons.............. people think that no one sees or hears about them because they are behind the walls and they have lost all rights of being treated as a human. massena
