Hi bananny and jj. This is probably the best place to say this. I believe what is making us so sick is what is known as "Silentsuperbug. There are two strains,CBL001 micro and CBL001 macro. Seeing Kammy's petri dish samples and pictures I believe she has the micro strain. As for myself I have the macro strain. Go to "http:// Silentsuperbug- Reference.Blogspot.com/ and you will see exactly what my fingers look like. It is the first video at this website and macro strain shows last. Love ya's morghunter.

New study published in Journal of Clinical & Experimental Dermatology Research says Morgellons has a PHYSIOLOGIC basis! Yes, as in PHYSICAL!!! The story was published March 16, 2012---here's the link: www.omicsonline.org/2155-9554/2155-9554-3-140.php?aid=5477(repeating in case I didn't do the hyperlink button right): www.omicsonline.org/2155-9554/2155-9554-3-140.php?aid=5477And here's a short synopsis of the report: www.thecehf.org/new-scientific-study-provides-evidence-that-morgellons-is-a-physical-illness.html"AUSTIN, Texas (May 16, 2012) .The controversial illness known as Morgellons disease has a physiologic basis, according to a new research report, Morgellons Disease: A Chemical and Light Microscopic Study published in the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dermatology Research. Recently, veterinary microbiologist Marianne J. Middelveen from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and internist Raphael B. Stricker, MD published a study documenting similarities between Morgellons disease and a veterinary illness known as bovine digital dermatitis (BDD) that causes lameness, decreased milk production, weight loss, and skin lesions near the hooves of affected cattle. That study revealed that the unusual fibers seen in the animal disease were similar to those seen in and under the skin of people worldwide who suffer from Morgellons disease. A new study confirms that Morgellons disease is not a delusional illness, as some in the medical community maintain. The latest findings confirmed that fibers from both bovine and human samples were similar in formation at the cellular level and had the chemical and physical properties of keratin. The keratin composition of filaments from humans was confirmed by immunohistological staining with antibodies specific for human keratins. Fibers from human patients were found to be biological in origin and are produced by keratinocytes in epithelial and follicular tissues. The findings are consistent with the 2012 Center for Disease Control publication stating that over 80% of non-biopsy material taken from patients had a protein composition. “This study puts the final nail in the coffin of delusional disease that these patients have been labeled with,” stated Dr. Stricker. “It proves that Morgellons disease is a physiologic illness. From here on, scientists will be able to move forward in finding a cause and a cure.” Co-author Stricker, a renowned Morgellons expert, has treated hundreds of people with this disease at his San Francisco, CA-based practice. Principal author, Middelveen, is credited with finding the connection between the two diseases. After noticing that the filaments found on cattle showed striking similarities to those found on Morgellons patients, Middelveen contacted Dr. Stricker. Their joint research identified many common features concerning clinical and epidemiological similarities. The Charles E. Holman Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to advocacy and philanthropy in the fight against Morgellons Disease. The foundation was named for Charles E. Holman, a pioneer in the fight against Morgellons disease. The Charles E. Holman Foundation is based in Austin, Texas and is lead by Executive Director, Cindy Casey Holman."

A very interesting read, from PubMed:
Braz J Med Biol Res. 2007 Apr;40(4):443-56. Description of Lyme disease-like syndrome in Brazil. Is it a new tick borne disease or Lyme disease variation? Mantovani E, Costa IP, Gauditano G, Bonoldi VL, Higuchi ML, Yoshinari NH. Source Disciplina de Reumatologia, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil. Abstract An emerging clinical entity that reproduces clinical manifestations similar to those observed in Lyme disease (LD) has been recently under discussion in Brazil. Due to etiological and laboratory particularities it is named LD-like syndrome or LD imitator syndrome. The condition is considered to be a zoonosis transmitted by ticks of the genus Amblyomma, possibly caused by interaction of multiple fastidious microorganisms originating a protean clinical picture, including neurological, osteoarticular and erythema migrans-like lesions. When peripheral blood of patients with LD-like syndrome is viewed under a dark-field microscope, mobile uncultivable spirochete-like bacteria are observed. PCR carried out with specific or conservative primers to recognize Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto or the genus Borrelia has been negative in ticks and in biological samples. Two different procedures, respectively involving hematoxylin and eosin staining of cerebrospinal fluid and electron microscopy analysis of blood, have revealed spirochetes not belonging to the genera Borrelia, Leptospira or Treponema. Surprisingly, co-infection with microorganisms resembling Mycoplasma and Chlamydia was observed on one occasion by electron microscopy analysis. We discuss here the possible existence of a new tick-borne disease in Brazil imitating LD, except for a higher frequency of recurrence episodes observed along prolonged clinical follow-up. I want to share these sites for any researchers who may stop in to view our posts on Lymebusters regarding Morgellons. Though Morgellons (of course) is not listed in their rare disease database, there may be other general information on these sites that may be of help. These sites were sent to me from UCSF. ghr.nlm.nih.gov/spotlight/rare-disease-day-2013 rarediseasesnetwork.epi.usf.edu/

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3751012/ HI everyone- I'm posting this link to the article "Linda Violet" mentioned in the chat box . I mean the Shoutbox. Thanks for posting that Violet. It is I, heyhay.LOL Very interesting stuff-I haven't read it all yet, but I'm about too. Hee-hee! Hi, "It is I, heyhay!" "'Tis just I, Violet," lower than a worm's belly, so low I can chin myself on a curb. I sometimes go by "me"; sometimes by "myself." And often "I." It's so funny that correct English sounds so weird, isn't it? Although, incorrect English can sound pretty weird too, as in "Me and....". :-) My Harvard-trained previous boss would say that in informal settings. I couldn't believe it! I was going to call his mother and tell on him....but I never did. :-) Yes--I think this is an extremely important article, and clicking on it you will find all kinds of rabbit trails to go to and look at other articles that also contain info about some of the things we are experiencing with morgs. I want to give credit to the CEHF for posting it (that's where I found and read it). I go into their site daily, though I don't use Facebook to participate in their forum. The forum seems very good--and supportive. The articles they post are accessible without having to use Facebook, FYI.

Hi haywired, I wouldn't have even bothered to say sorry, you have nothing to be sorry for. Many people have a LOT to be sorry for. I won't regret what I'm about to say - what research? I've offered myself to a doctor, once or twice (for research of course). IF DOCTORS REALLY TRULY wanted to nut this disease out – what are the fibers? the keratin ? protein, the spirochete - Lyme and Syphilis and Morgellons hmmm.....they WOULD! I LIVE the disease everyday like my fellow victim/ally of this "man made malady".....I RESPECT people with or without a DEGREE!. The effort on the part of the doctors on "itchin's rating scale" – PATHETIC!

When Experiments Travel Clinical Trials and the Global Search for Human SubjectsBook Description
The phenomenal growth of global pharmaceutical sales and the quest for innovation are driving an unprecedented search for human test subjects, particularly in middle- and low-income countries. Our hope for medical progress increasingly depends on the willingness of the world's poor to participate in clinical drug trials. While these experiments often provide those in need with vital and previously unattainable medical resources, the outsourcing and offshoring of trials also create new problems. In this groundbreaking book, anthropologist Adriana Petryna takes us deep into the clinical trials industry as it brings together players separated by vast economic and cultural differences. Moving between corporate and scientific offices in the United States and research and public health sites in Poland and Brazil,When Experiments Traveldocuments the complex ways that commercial medical science, with all its benefits and risks, is being integrated into local health systems and emerging drug markets.
Providing a unique perspective on globalized clinical trials,When Experiments Travelraises central questions: Are such trials exploitative or are they social goods? How are experiments controlled and how is drug safety ensured? And do these experiments help or harm public health in the countries where they are conducted? Empirically rich and theoretically innovative, the book shows that neither the language of coercion nor that of rational choice fully captures the range of situations and value systems at work in medical experiments today. When Experiments Travelchallenges conventional understandings of the ethics and politics of transnational science and changes the way we think about global medicine and the new infrastructures of our lives. www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt7rzzt#
