I think Kritts and Jeany have had lots of discussions on why BB and BG may or may not look alike on the MDR thread? I'd be interested to see what your black specks grow into, Kritts. Be sure to turn the dish upside down after you culture, and check it every day or two - you'd be surprised how fast these critters grow. I wonder if all Lyme's are producing the fungus black speck and just don't know it? Kam*, I don't think "normal" Lyme disease sufferers have those black specks..because according to my Lyme tests I have this bacteria over a long time in my body possibly 2 centuries already and I never had black specks or even white specks falling from my head prior to Morgellons Disease. Those black and white specks are definitely IMO Morgellons related.. a fungus...as we have already researched.... Jeany I think Kritts was talking about these black specks being in her stool? I may be mistaken. I don't think Kritts produces black specks otherwise, from what I remember. My question was.... if Kritts is producing black specks in her stool and only finding them due to microscopic examination, I wonder, if possibly other Lymes sufferers might be producing them without their knowledge also. The black speck is one of the main differences between the Morgie and the Lymes victim. And, as we've seen how close each of these 2 black specks look in my photos compared to known Lymes photos, we identified the Morgie one as fungus (possibly A. niger or a variation). They are twin sisters in looks, I think the size of the specks is what is in question, they are not close that way?

Regarding Barbs specimen there Kammy, in the link you've posted.
Do you mean the very first pic that comes up?
If so, her specimens skin pattern, from everything I've searched, looks that of a slug skin's pattern.
Also, my input on the "black specks that are found" "going potty"?
Well..the "ground pepper appearance" is the best way I too can describe that/those. And those ARE as far as I've noticed for 4 years now, also on the "every two weeks they appear cycle"...as well as new breakouts of itching lesions.

There is a possibility that Lyme Disease Sufferers have "these" in their stool too...but hey show me a "normal" person digging in their feces...ha!....seems only morgies do that! Fungus? Yes, of course....highly probable candidate..embedded into this mess.. Kritts needs to do some microscopical work on these specks so we can identify? or atleast try? Lets see what they look like! Jeany

Thanks JJ Hey JJ,,,,,, Other than the pics on lymephotos (that appear to be the same thing) there were several pages of pics on a site called "Morgellons USA" but they were not labeled with any kind of identification, and the site seems to be gone now Lymephotos has them labeled as "Borrelia burgdorferi" but I dont think that is a correct ID... cant say for sure though.... To answer your question... I have spent many hours "on several occasions" surfing the net and looking through related galleries for any kind of a match to these things but have never found them anywhere else.. The closest physical match I have found was to something called "Magnetotactic bacteria" (here's a pic) show.simpload.com/index.php?filename=06084a2dc2b05f369.jpghope that helps ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

A few years ago I read info on the magnetotactic bacteria and always wondered if someone else would bring the subject up!

Ever since Lymephoto's I have been checking over the years to see if some new images have surfaced. Didn't think Lymephoto's had the right ID either ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Bacillus, Borrelia & your find doesn't appear to fit size wise either. Thanks everybody JJ

Hi Everyone, I have the black specks. They are in everything that I produce from my body, especially in the slime/gel that I cough up constantly. The larger pieces I find in my stool, most of the time it just sits on or covers whatever org is in there. I have also had them come out of my eyes; first I thought it was mascara, but since I'm so ill now, I rarely, if ever, wear mascara. So when these specks come out trailing fibers along with them, and they are imbedded right in the speck, well.....it's in everything! Some of my black specks are quite large, in fact, I have one piece that is about 1" long and 1/2" wide and looks like a shark tooth! It is thin, flat, and looks and feels like plastic! It is not so thin tho that it loses it's shape, it's rigid enough to stay perfectly intact. So, it may be possible that these black specks are part of something much larger? It is IMO...since I'm producing all sizes. Hugs, ctbarb ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)
