triyoga.com/KRIYA_News/?p=242I'm a vegetarian but not totally vegan. Now I'm seriously thinking of giving dairy . Apparently most dairy cows are treated quite unethically, kept pregnant and hooked up to painful milking machines . I will have to learn to give up my beloved yogurt!

Hmmmm Anger plus burger sounds like a stomach ache to me! Last time I got mad i did some tree trimming. it was great therapy but my tree didnt look so good afterwards ;D Im wondering if not consuming any more dairy will lesson crawling symptoms? maybe there are no vegans here because vegans dont get morgellons ..........although one person has PM'd saying he was vegan. Wasnt Carrie on a vegan diet?

Wasnt Carrie on a vegan diet? Hanga burgers with hot peppers the best thing ever invented every once in a while I will indulge but for quite a few years now I haven't been digging the meat so much Carrie started her vegan diet after I left-- When I was there she wasn't much of a meat eater then She says that she is feeling much healthier on the more vegan diet among other things As you know I live out in the country some ranchers treat their cattle like gold and pasture their cows and some let them waller in their own filth Our neighbor to the north is one that treats his cows like gold vary healthy cows I'd drink milk from them any day but the neighbor south of us he is the other kind of rancher Ya' just cant tell where the milk comes from when you buy from a store Heres a picture of the good rancher to the norths cows -- Our family homestead is in the background www.devcan.Com/imagehost/uploads/036cd5f44c.jpg

Beautiful picture Ant! im glad to know some dairy farms are still like this but it still makes me wonder what goes on behind the scenes. I wrote the dairy farm I get my yogurt from and asked if their cows get out to pasture every day and they have not written back yet.If they do Im going to ask for a live tour so I can decide for myself

I ran across this cute quote and I thought it might have a place here on this thread
"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." , Whitney Brown.

OMG I bet you two miss me! And this thread has been here so long...! I've been a busy girl. Well, I haven't been vegan for a while now...it lasted about 6 months and yeah, I felt great. I still feel good but felt so much better even 90% raw. I have been trying so hard to get back there. I still don't eat much meat tho. Damn cheese tho. Friskers you better believe that the pic Daryl posted is a super rare deal. Free range cattle is a delicacy and you sure pay for it. What I've learned is that there is even a difference between free range, grass fed and even grass finished. What they do is grass feed them then the last few months of their lives grain feed 'em to put on a bunch of weight before slaughter. But to find free range, grass fed and finished beef is tough and very expensive! As far as milk goes, GOOD LUCK! I haven't even began researching that one, but we don't drink much milk. Even organic milk is double regular milk. At least most milks have stopped using the rbst hormone. It's all disgusting. Ethical farming is still pretty scarce. You need to watch some Food Inc. Hahaha Ant...I love plants! ;D
