Not all refugees coming to Australia are placed behind wire fencing and bars - some live in four star luxury and receive welfare, travel and phones. With money for internet and cigarettes, it is a life that some Australian pensioners can't afford. tinyurl.com/3nzmcsdThe video is just over 6 minutes & well worth the watch for those that are interested to learn what is going on in this messed up country of ours! Thanks.

Our Country to getting alot of immigrants or refugees. We cannot increase because the canadain economy and families today only have one child. I have 3 .... but my daughter inlaw is from veitnam. We are definetly a mixture here. What is a Canadain... brown, white , black and red. We are very multicultural. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiculturalism_in_Canada I will have asian, european, first nation north american, in my family. One day my daughter asked what nationality is she?.... because it would be fitting to say I'm english, german or so on..... I told her, she is the closest to adam and eve. Because in them they held all the races of the world. She went away happy............. she has irish, french, north american native, english, swedish, german. However, we do see injustice in our own govn't compared to our own people. That does makes us mad ..... but it's the govn't we should be mad at. Pierrie Trudeau did a good thing in the80's with the children in grade school ... teaching them multiculturalizim in schools. We learned about different culturals and our kids didn't have a separation.

Melbourne has been a multicultural society for many many years now. I agree with what you say Simone about being mad at the government...I am extremely mad at the government. I don't know enough about the asylum seekers & refugees to comment too much, though I know enough to know that there is a grave injustice taking place. This video was from the 1st September, I missed it on TV & have only just watched; tinyurl.com/3w2m5myI wonder why the government are housing asylum seekers whilst Australian's who were born & bred here remain homeless. Strange thing is though, no one seems to say boo about any of this. We were homeless in 2009 & there was NO emergency housing, we had to live in a caravan at $500 plus a week. The tax payer in Australia pays for cigarettes for refugees, so they are allowed to smoke (I assume) outdoors at the detention centre. We also pay for their phone cards, foxtel, internet, etc etc... Smoking has been banned in psychiatric hospitals in Melbourne. If you are a voluntary patient you can go onto the street to smoke. If you are involuntary tough luck, you can't smoke. I lost ALL my human rights being incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital. There's something very wrong with this picture...
