A friend of mine thinks that this is the culprit. Please do a search on google for symptoms and pictures. What do you think?

I think it's part of the problem, but not all of it. It doesn't explain the organisms I have physically removed from my body.
My opinion is that the organisms inside us have a bacterium or fungus present with them that aids in worsening the infection. However, everything I've read says that--say, if it's a nematode--that the nematode feeds on bacteria in one of its early stages. I'm 100% certain that what is chewing me up is either a nematode or nematamorph, and if that's the cae, they would consume any fungal element, in my opinion. Also, antibiotics aren't usually effective against fungi, and many people here (including myself) have had dramatic improvement while taking antibiotics. That leads me to believe out little vectored parasite is a vector itself for a nasty little bacterium traveling companion.

have you tried potassium iodide, just to see how your body reacts to it. i mean it's just a thought, but what if the antibiotis helps the parasite condition temporarily, and if you kill the bacteria that the nemothingy feeds on then maybe they will leave? It's just a thought.
I'm also curious how lyme plays a part in this?

I don't think so. I have a parasite, to be sure, though. Take a look at the nematomorph post lower on the page and in those pictures are several of the things eating me. I do not believe I have Lyme.

Regarding the nematomorph.. The pictures at Lymephotos look exactly like what I've experienced. They also look like the photos that other morgies have posted over the years. My question is, how did they recognize this to be a nematormorph? You would think that there would be a professional somewhere that could look at all of these photos and be able to identify them. Maybe an entomologist that's specialized in this area.

Lisa, I have written a dear school friend, via email. He and his wife are high ranking medical personel. I just got to thinking...I know some of those guys come back from overseas with some funky mess...all kinds of parasites and diseases which are NOT the norm for 'over here'. So I wrote him, and guess what!? He didn't think we're crazy! (He said to send him--well, there was a list. And then we have to figure out how to photograph what we see under manification. ) The best part is, they're good friends with a couple, the wife of which is the infectious disease doc. for the entire Pacific Rim--including Malasia and Phillipines...so she's seen a lot of stuff. When he gets all our stuff, specimens, etc., he will present it to her. Please pray she will have seen somehting like this before, or have some idea. They also have another friend who is a high-ranking entomologist..surely we can find out something.

This is great news! A lot of us have a Digital Blue microscope that allows us to take pictures. Some have posted links that you can go to view their photos. Maybe making a post on the General Board and here, asking them to do so again would be a good idea. I know I could go back and find them, but it's probably best to ask their permission first. I have too much going on right now, but on Tuesday I'll start getting mine together and try to touch base with you (sorry about that). Thanks so much!

Itching how nice of you to do this and thanks for all your efforts. Maybe you could get your friend to look at the photos on this board. they are on the front page and have lincs to various photo albums. Let us know what you find out and bless your helping.

You are all welcome! Don't worry, I already gave him links to this and other sites with pics. He was so much more open than other people, being in the military. He just got back from Iraq, and they have really seen some strange stuff, I'm sure. I know from talking to others that biological warfare isn't just action movie material anymore... I may have mentioned we have a friend at church who was a victim of biological warfare in Kuwait and was ill for years, and still is somewhat. ...So a digital blue microscope?? We ordered a microscope, but we got it and it was so crappy and cheaply made. Live and learn, I guess; we have fortunately never before had to deal with anything like this, and know NOTHING about micropscopes. Lisa, I guess I'll forgive you, hahahaha. (No problem.) PS: Why so many guests? Just curious...I don't think it causes any spam or anything to register... at least we haven't had any trouble. And remember, any 'numbers' the medical community has to look at help our cause (such as how many members on this site...). Anyway, just something to think about

Not a chance in hay'll! (bad pun)
I think a few here may have this (or folliculitis), especially the ones that treated successfully with atlete's foot spray but that is a localized infection. Our deal has the creepy crawlers and there is no way a fungus can do that (that we know of so far). A bacterium with flagella (so it motors about your body), as Dr. Scwhartz suggests, is more logical. A micro-insect makes the most sense but all we find under the scope are asymetrical black specks and fibers - boggling the scientific community to be sure!
Did anyone buy Dr. Schwartz's book? I'd LOVE to know what the specific medium he's using to culture this bacteria. If I could find out I could do my own cultures!
Talk ta me!

Luvs, Heather I just now thought of how I got this. I had a boyfriend yrs ago that fought in the Persian gulf war. He was very ill after returning home...chemo and the whole nine. But we were having raw sex. Maybe thats the way this entered my body......
