EH, I cannot commend you enough on the wonderful job you have done on your site. As always, your photos look just like mine. Thank you for putting the time and effort into what will hopefully lead the right person to react.

Hi ANT: Thanks for your note. So glad to hear from you. Yes, I'm still fighting, in my own small way. And hoping to raise a little ruckus some day soon. Hope you are doing okay, and I hope your quote doesn't mean I've made you cry! (Mine right now is from Bob Dylan: "You can fool some of the people all of the time. . ." Can you finish that one?"
CHEMIST: Thanks for the lead--no, I don't live near the Great Lakes (although I was born in Michigan), but I have just read that lampreys also live in Virginia, which is near where I was when I got this. I'm going to send the pics to a couple of biologists who work with the creatures and see what they think. The thing was only 1/4 inch long. I've edited the page to include your suggestion. Best lead I've ever had on it.
LISA: Thanks, thanks, thanks. Now let's try to get some of this into a public forum. I need to get links to my site put up on as many sites as possible. Of course it will go on NUSPA once the spamming problem is over. I'll also put it over on the Safe-to-Use Board. I'll ask the keepers of the Comfort Zone for a link also. Any other suggestions?

Hi. We are new to the forum. My Dad and I share this account. He is deaf, so I do a lot of things for him. My Dad came down with this lovely disease about 3 months ago. It's interesting to read the exact things we have been told( its all in your head, ecxema...etc) I'm hopiong we'll learn more and maybe even help. We go to the Dr. on Wed. I have all my new found info to take with. Wish us luck!!

Be warned Jimmy, the more "proof" you supply, the crazier the docs will think you are. It is the act of making a case for an unknown disease that is the medical communities criteria for the delusional diagnosis. I wonder if they ever consider that we might be just trying to help them do their job.
Best of Luck, Linda

Hello EH,
Par Excellance! That is a phenomenol job.
Great delivery! The way you just keep nudging away, holding on to that "delusions" theme so as to force the reader to see just how preposterous it would be to believe that these are truly your "delusions". It's a mind-bender.
This kind of delivery is so strong, and is so professional, that I feel it will make that impact that is sort of missing at this time.
It surely should be the lead piece on the photos links. After your wonderful delivery it would be easy for others to pick out the similar subject in other photo exposes`.
One thing that is lacking in the collections is this sort of concise and poignant delivery.
I can't thank you enough for the wonderful job, and all the dedicated time and effort it took to prepare it.
Spec
ps. your "blood lint" delusion (that was so clever, "lint in the blood" haha) anyway.. it is my blood monster and I have many other close matches within my stashes, no starfishes, and no eels, but I will keep a look out!
PPS ONE OTHER THING I FORGOT! You have really got a touch for your microscope, do you have any tips that would help others gain such clarity? I am frustrated by the limited depth-of-field.

Thanks, Spec, for such kind words. I'll put a link on the photos board. I know what you mean about the depth of field problem with the inexpensive scopes. All I can offer is patience and practice. I spent hours and hours each week learning how to locate and best view these things. These few pictures represent only a fraction of a percentage of all that I took. But all that time at the scope paid off with the video. That's my most compelling bit yet.
Also, do try different things. Smash your samples, put water on them, put alcohol on them, poke them with a probe (you can get cheap sets of probes from science supply places online), etc. To get the fibers to move, put a drop of water near (but not on) them.
I don't scope much anymore, because I just keeping finding the same stuff over and over again. I once considered trying to save up for a beter scope, and I still may do that some day, but right now I need to save up for a dentist first! But if my ship ever comes in, I'll definitely see what some of those little fluke-like shapes look like at higher power. Or, alternatively, I may take an evening biology course at a local college, just to be able to use their labs. Scientific types might think about that. If it's a university, you might even get some grad student interested.
Best to all, always. EH

You posted the Delusional Survey on the Skin Parasites board, did you not? I took that survey. Your website is very clever. I really enjoyed it.

At last--I am seeing what I have been getting off of my person,,,Very good pics, You must be commended for your efforts. I will tell you this, I have gotten even better specimins out of my ears and from under my finger nails from scratching my head,,,The sandal I have not run across yet...from what I see in the emages under high resolution there are sucker feet on the critter---could this be a liver fluke? Have you ever been in Korea or the far east my friend? I am considering getting the QX 5 scope---I would love to help you in your endevours...I have a very large ax to grind with the medical community. I would glory in seeing them eat this one, Good work and many thanks.

Star: Yes, I did post my questionnaire at NUSPA and I recall that you did fill it out. Thanks. That board is not allowing websites to be posted right now, and my post has fallen way down, so I'm not driving much traffic from over there.
Orion: I know exactly how you feel, and we need all the help we can get. If you do decide to get the scope, I suggest you also get a good supply of slides and coverslips and a case, and keep your best samples. This is something I did not do, and wish I had. I plan to make a physical collection next, in case anyone with a real scope gets interested.
Best to all. EH

WOW.....After looking at the pictures I had in my mind to change all the locks on my doors....Each and every picture posted is " EXACTLY " the types of " things " that Debby and I have been looking at through our $100.00 Meade microscope....So this.....There has to be some way to get the researchers and scientists of the world to take notice.....If they can't be identified then maybe we can find out what they are not.....Thanks EH for reassuring us that we are not dillusional and there is something physically to this....Thanks for the info...Rick of rickndebby
