I would like to know if any of you diagnosed with Morgellons (or even if you think you have it) work with or around any plants? Or if you've been anywhere, such as a nursery, garden, or even a friend's house that may have a variety of plants? I look forward to ALL responses.

The onset of my skin symptoms started when I took up a new hobby....flower gardening. I used mulch, manure, soils, fertilizers, blood meal, insecticides, etc.

MoMo,
If you look back through the posts, their are a lot of landscapers that have Morgellons. I have also read newspaper articles where landscapers have contracted symtoms.

I have a theory I'm doing some research & testing on and as soon as I have MORE conclusive results I will post them.
What may help is if you could list the SPECIFIC brand of LIQUID fertilizers any of you used.
Thank you again for your responses.
I'M HOPING TO HAVE HELPFUL INFORMATION SOON!!

no liquid fertilizers here but collembola (readily found in wet soil) is seemingly getting more and more implicated with this whole thing

For outdoor flowers and plants I know used the brands Miracle Gro and Peters. Then there's the brand Green Light (Super Bloom), but I'm not sure if I ever used it in liquid form or not. There are probably others that I don't remember.
One thing I've learned over the years is, the listing of "inert ingredients" is what you have to be careful of. I believe Scott's owns Miracle Gro products. Scott's is one of the companies that have withheld inert ingredient information in the past.

i have worked with plants all my life in my grandfathers greenhouses, and also worked on his farm next door to my parents house. i never got sick before, no allergies or anything. 2 yrs ago i worked at a golf course, i was exposed to pesticides also steaming mulch. we used it all the time, i never wondered why it was steaming. something was in there breaking it down. this is when i started getting sick, i do remember i had a bite or something on my face that was really big and would not go away. it has finally gone away but months later i broke out all over my face with big oozing sores, what my doctor "thought " was a staff infection, he treated with antibiotics, got better but was still under my skin. i am now unable to work because of the lesions i have had for 2 yrs. they do have worms in them, and i am suprised i have not lost my mind yet. i have gone to several docs and all say the same thing that i created the sores, etc. last tuesday went to a infect. disease doc, she said that i did not have the symtoms of parasites, she did take a culture of one of my sores, hopefully a monster will emerge, she also did labs which included all kinds of fungus, immune, liver etc tests, she did ask me if i worked around plants or mulch, i told her i was exposed to the mulch everyday! now that i read this i do have a little faith in her, we will see in 2 weeks, will let you know
thanks deb, of rickndebby
