Doc J - In case an interaction comes up (most likely it will be a reason I can't figure out ofr a reduction in bioavailability of one or the other drug, not a health risk), we need to be able to switch around - so might want to stock some Bactrim/Septra too, just in case we have to drop the tetra. I have some Zithro, but my hopes for that working are so low, I haven't even tried taking it. I'm really liking my longer Cipro term idea right now - until chem comes by and stomps on it. I have some in stock... Also I have tried zithro, with limited success but what I do like is flagyl....kicks butt. Yours and theirs. But it doesnt kill em. Zyvox was helpful at first then it fizzed out And ramfipin I think thats how its spelled ...I did very well on that. I asked chemist about vancomyacin. To see what he thought about that. And if you have Lyme folks I cannot stress enough all the salt and c has done for me. It didnt stop the fibers , but it cleared my friggin brains out and now my vision is crystal clear. I woke up one day and it was awfully bright out and when I looked down the street I realized I could see clear two blocks down My cognitive abilities have improved 100% in three months on it. And the doctor said I had high blood pressure......pishah!! My pressure has been stable and normal.

I live right at the TJ border can you give me a list? of what i should be taking please please please? But first I should slow down and tell my situation. I use to live in florida I Have a theory of where i got this crapola. I would be on the porch and I would see these little what my friend I jokingly call "ash bugs" litlle tiny white things white things even then I was told I was crazy lol untill one day we where both out there and she saw them crawling on the deck . This was during the time of those major fires ( I lived in Cape Canaveral, Florida) so every one just kept saying it was the ashes from the fires. after we both saw the bugs wich I asume were fleeing the fires We forgot all about it I never thought "Watch out for those BUGS!!" Anyways I saw my first symtoms about while I was on a motercycle run to Virgina my skin started to feel crawly still I shrugged it off asuming it was the long periods of time in the wind then about 5 months after that I got what I thought was Ringworm on my face i got some ringworm ointment and could not get rid of it . Thats when the doctors visits began pretty much one of my first days in hell Doctor Jack A@SS said your stesssed and have acne. So I acceped that. Got rX for zits and went about my days. Days turned into monthes monthes turned into years all the while joking about my ringworm was acting up haha more doctors more diognoses Exma, Psoriosis, rosache, and so on and so so. Then about 2 years ago it started getting bad I became severly depressed went to the doctor he put me on antidepresants and "somthing for the acne" . depresson still here skin is worse then about 2 monthes after that I saw my first "HAIR" it went away when tried to touch it (this is on my face) figured I imagined it. still horribe skin problems on my face now here at present day I suffer a few monthes ago I started to notice the little whatevers coming out of my fingers I touched my face all the time so im sure that is how it tranferd from there it has spread across my body I have been to the ER 3 times in the last month diognosed with adult impintigo twice and refered to the crazy doctor finally I got up the courage to say somthing to my friend and show them under the microscope I bought. finally someone else saw it!!!!!!!!!! Then he told about this program he had seen about parisites I never in a million years thought it was a parisite So I googled it and here I am went to the ER last week even brought them a sample they said its fuzz you are one crazzy lady lol now im obssed I waist Hours on the mirror And other fuzz related bullcrapolla so there is my story Oh I also see these little black flies and yesterday (while in the mirror) 1 little tiny white bug "ash bug" cruisin around in the mirror. So what do you think? Jess

Vancomycin won't work if I'm right about the cell wall structure of this bacterium (doesn't have a peptidoglycan cellular structure so nothing for the vancomycin to bind with). I'm guessing it's a waste of time and rather toxic to boot. Are you SURE Zyvox was helping? If so then Cipro won't fly either because Zyvox ONLY works against gram positive bacteria and cipro gram negative. If the zyvox helped then you need to use Avelox and not Cipro since that works against both. Be Well, Chemist G

I live right at the TJ border can you give me a list? of what i should be taking please please please? Hi Jessica, I'd love to give you a "list" that will cure you but it's not that simple and going on antibiotics without a doctors supervision isn't a good idea. But your situation is a tough one so all I will say is that tetracycline has really helped me. Make certain you aren't allergic to the antibiotics before moving ahead. Also you can rub diatomaceous earth pesticide on your skin to stop the crawling sensation. Be well! Chemist G

Doc J - Were you taking the vioxx with anything else at the time. Chem is right, as usual, about Cipro being most effective with gram neg. How fast did the Zyvox fizzle out? Maybe it was only helping with secondary skin infections? I hope? If course, the reason I hope is that Acelox is prohibitively expensive to take longer term (and a pain in the butt to obtain), which is what I think is going to have to be done.

Darn, a pretty redhead pistol who lives on a boat. Where were you when I was single and available? Seriously Jessica (well, the above was serious, but I'll never admit I said it - alright, yes I will) - we aren't at that point, yet, and you probably aren't the best one to be testing until we guinea pig it (trial and error can be expensive, and you don't sound like someone who will stay calm when something is tried and fails - it's the redheadedness that clued me in), but when I figure out which to take, I'll be posting a journal on it, to see what we learn. Chem, How is your first day without the tetra. Holding up, I hope? Ant, I feel like a dope (two days solid work and no sleep probably has something to do with it), but as glad I am for doing something right, I have no idea what it was. Chem, Doc J, Jessica and Ant, taking a risk here, so figure out the code (take out all of the dashes) and feel free to email me whenever and whyever. If you do, I'll give you my email that I check all of the time. This one, I check every couple of days. j--e-f-f--in--h-b--u--r--g@yahoo.com

Chemist...or bugged...or whoever you are....that post about the herx party had me crying I was laughing so hard. No freakin' kiddin', huh??! What some crazy mess we all have. And we could talk about all our weirdnesses together, and nobody would look at anyone else as if they were from Mars. Truly, acceptance feels so good. Lisa and I talked on the phone one night, and I think we talked for like three and 1/2 hours! My hubby buys all the stuff I tell him we need, but doesn't want to discuss or etc. So thanks for being friends. Big thanks.

The zyvox fizzled out in a week....maybe ten days. The Flagyl kept my skin from secondary skin infections. Flagyl made a tremendous difference. See they didnt stop the fibers but they came out different. Meaning they didnt feel alive anymore. I also did a few rounds of grisofulvin and sporanox.....about six weeks on each . Then off two weeks then back on. After the grisofulvin...the fake moles disappeared. Just for the record even though cats claw doesnt really make me herx, it has improved my overall health...and garlic of course. MSM stopped the joint pain and salt and c cleared my cloudy head.

"I am a 31 yr red headed fire pistol that use to be confidant and secure with my looks and now im lucky to feel pretty. And I know I am!"
Hi Jess, Well ya got another red headed, 38yr. old friend in me, right here with you. It's been quite humbling to say the least. For so many years of my life, others would comment on my looks, that I ended up thinking that was all there was to me. Since getting this disease, I've learned I'm much more than that. I'm actually the intelligent person I always thought I was. The other had to take a back seat for me to realize it or even put it to good use. Ok, enough of this patting myself on the back babble.
I was told I had impetigo as well. One thing that's been hard is keeping my hands off my face when I sit at the computer. It's a habit for me to put my elbow up on the desk and rest my chin or cheek in my hand. If I don't catch myself, I end up getting the hard bumps under the skin on my chin. In the beginning I had these white things in my fingers. It was very painful...like embedded glass. Was it like that with your fingers? I thought I must have gotten it from messing around in the flower beds....I'll never know. Learn this lesson from me....Leave Your Face Alone! It only makes it worse. At the start of all this, I wanted so bad to get this "stuff" out of my body. I found out it was never ending. As if it was all connected.....like a spider web would be. Just keep putting whatever on it, but don't pick or dig at it. It would just find another place to pop at, in my experiences.
I think what's best, is killing it from the inside. Oh, and the hair thing.....ugh, it's so creepy I know.

Lisa,
As I read this I had to pull my hand away from my face. Same thing here. At night I sleep in the fetal position most of the time with my hands up against my face and chin. Bought some good cotton gloves to wear at night. Really hard to break those comforting habits one developes. ............ still hangin, JJ

Seriously, if anyone knows - Is there enough quinine in tonic water to have a positive impact on this? How many ounces or bottles would equal a dose of the old medication, for instance? These Eureka! or Duh! moments are getting too frequent. More and more things I found to be slightly helpful have a basis behind them. =-=--=-=-=-=-=-=- Lets see, The bottle of tonic water here in my hands says---9 mg/fl oz.so at67.6 fl oz X 9 would equal 608.4 mg....to my way of thinking ,that's a bunch---damn, no wonder I'm dingy---ears going like Big Ben and eyes are doing the tic toc. LOL BUT it will knock the parasits in the blood and I assume else where, Couple that with Cats Claw and you've got a sherman tank loaded with DU ammo. Also I want to try some coloidaal silver with it---these are three things that have proven effective in the past---If you don't have access to Abx then this is the way to go. But I will warn you--go very easy at first---don't go hog wild--work into it easy as you might do some heavy herx or other side effects--no two ppl are constructed alike... It will be interesting to see how it works out. They used to use mercury compounds to do this but every body went crazy and they had to lock them all up. Now trying to house a bunch of crazy ppl is a problem.. {:-)).

Lisa, It was awesome hearing from you it was like listening to myself. My boyfriend (thank WHOEVER for his support!) is constantly telling "get your stinking hands away from your face" I to have started to wear gloves seems to make me feel better about my food also I wear latex and change them regularly. Its become quite compulsive now i know why people wash their hands obsessively. What ever works to get me through another day. Its nice to talk to a sister redhead. that relates to this strange case of "acne" lol
much love, jess aka LAGGICA ;D
