Here are a few sentences writtenby Aldous Huxley, in 1959, that completely apply today to the abhorrent and atrociouss monster western psychiatry has become. These words, written by a genius writer(Brave New World, The Doors of Perception) completely debunk and show how convoluted our western psychiatry and psychology is:
"The aim of Western psychiatry is to help the troubled individual to adjust himself to the society of less troubled individuals--individuals who are observed to be well adjusted to one another and the local institutions, but about whose adjustment to the fundamental Order of Things no enquiry is made. Counselling, analysis, and other methods of therapy are used to bring these troubled and maladjusted persons back to a normality, which is defined, for lack of any better criterion, in statistical terms. To be normal is to be a member of the majority party--or in totalitarian societies, such as Calvinist Geneva, Nazi Germany, Communist RUssia, of the party which happens to be in power. For the exponents of the transcendental pragmatisms of the Orient, statistical normality is of little or no interest. History and anthropology make it abundantly clear that societies composed of indivduals who think, feel, and believe and act according to the most preposterous conventions can survive for long periods of time. Statistical normaily is perfectly compatitble with a high degree of folly and wickedness."
Score one for thinking out of the box, and another negative for the western school of psychiatry and psychological thought. I posted this on the main morgellons board, because after studying psychology as a major, i've come to realize that it is primarily based on statistics, which are inherent to folly and wickedness as Huxley explained. Why? Because who are the sane ones who decide which statistics are relevant and which ones aren't? How can you judge those people? How can you depend on statistics that come from humans, which are always prone to human error and human interpretation which can not be measured as accurate or innaccurate? How easy is it to make up statistics, espescially ones for drug manufacturing(it's very freaking easy, there are tons of evidential stories already)? And fitting in completely with a messed up society does not a sane person make. He may appear sane, through his whole life, but what a quiet life of desperation he must live. A sane person is not a person who fits in with society completely and perfectly, because society by nature is imperfect and chaotic.
Do these words make any sense to anyone here? Psychologists and Psychiatrists hold the DSM IV(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition)to be a holy book of absolute truth. What absolute lies and filth are in store for one of these people to practice this book completely without using his brain first. Most of the psych. people do, that's the horrible part. The psychiatrists will talk to you for 5 minutes about how the newest medication they gave you is doing and give you more medication like candy.
SSRI's and SSNRI's are complete BS, and I would advise everyone against taking these type of drugs. They turn you into zombies, if they even work at all(oh statistics by the way! According to them, only 30% of people will respond at all to these types of drugs.). Then you got tricyclics, MAOI inhibitors, and some completely new classes of antidepressants that these doctors will chuck at anyone going in there. I swear to god. But of course if you need something like Clonazepam(Klonopin, a benzodiazepine like Valium or Xanax)for anxiety, they'll instantly question your motives since these drugs COULD BE HABIT FORMING. Duh, but these same docs don't tell you that antidepressants are way more habit forming than any benzodiazepine could ever be. Ever try coming off Paxil or Effexor, cold turkey?
It was worse than my worse Heroin withdrawal, and I had used for two years(Heroin that is). I've been clean for 6 months, I mainly used because I didn't know what was causing all the problems I had until I found out I had lyme disease. Anyway, don't trust any drug a psychiatrist hands you. I'm also a certified pharmacy tech., pff as if that means anything today. I know which drugs I take are safe, and which ones aren't. That's why I don't take any kind of antidepressant(we don't have enough knowledge of the human brain to be using these drugs right now), or anti-psychotics(alternatives given for people with extreme anxiety like me)for the same reason, and because they don't freaking work, not to mention. I know all the pharmokinetics of Clonazepam and I know it's safe. I know it will grow in tolerance, and i'm well aware. I also take Provigil which I don't particularly trust, compared to Adderall which I trusted based on the facts(Adderall being two amphetamines... Amphetamine, and Dextroamphetamine)since we have been well aware of the functions of amphetamines have played since the 50's. I know they are harmful to take over in the long run, but so are other drugs. I'm trying to get back on Adderall, because without it, I can't even get out of bed.
And psychologists? We'll luckily they can't prescribe medication, but there are many forms of them. Most psychologists are humanistic and generally eclectic, so they use the different schools of psychological thought based on what they believe works. So no two psychologists are going to be the same, have the same mindset, or give the same answers that are supposed to solve your problems. I've been majoring in psychology, and after studying it for this long i'm disillusioned. Psychologists don't employ much, if any, of their own thought into their work, into their helping of people. They employ other peoples thoughts from books of statistics, interpretation, and generally don't give mind to things that fall outside current orthodox of their school of practiction. Hence, it is in their nature to dismiss patients such as us by the wave of their hand and the reciting of the DSM IV, which pertains to delusional parasitis. Sad but true. Don't try to find your answers about Morgellons with these people. I know them too well to know to question their authority at all times and I know every trick in their book, the fact that they most of them have a need to label a person as something. Called the labeling theory, but I won't delve into that.
It's something people have to come to grips with when they have faced psychiatrists and psychologists with this disease. I'm sorry to say we are not welcome and if we accept their usually false advice, well then, to quote Kurt Cobain we'll "Be forever in debt to your priceless advice." Hell here's one quote from the same song that someone could write a whole paper on for a psychology course: "Broken hymen of your higness, and i'm left back. Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back."
Doesn't that smack of Freduian pyschosexual and general theory that we all have the unconscious desire to go back into the womb? Although Kurt Cobain describes it as a death trap with the word noose, probably describing life/death as two of the same things and much much more that I will not go on about..
Anyway, avoid Psychologists and Psychiatrists if you can. I'm a newly avid speaker against the current trends of our western psyciatry and psychology, that aims to place everyone as sick, compared to the people defined as healthy. Who are these mentally healthy people? I've never met a single one, sorry to say, not even a psychologist or psychiatrist who was one. They don't exist, because they can't exist. Not in this society at least, and not in this dualistic world.
Anyway, i've went off track, but needless to say I think everyone needs a wakeup call(including people without Morgellons)to the practices of these so called professionals. If I got my PhD in psychology, would I finally have an opinion that counted with these people for chrissakes? They do not respond to general reason, so avoid them like the plague.
