First Do No Harm
As a physician in the practice of pediatric and adolescent medicine, I have evaluated and treated over 8,000 children with Lyme and other tick-bourne diseases from every state in America, from most provinces in Canada, from countries in South America, and from every continent abroad. No other pediatrician in the world has my experience in evaluating and treating these diseases.
My office receives 5-10 inquiries per day from parents who are desperate to obtain an adequate evaluation of their children with Lyme and other tick-bourne diseases. Due to my very busy 10 hour per day, 6-7 day per week Lyme practice, there is a 5-6 month delay between office contact and an actual office visit. In order to do no harm by delaying evaluation and treatment, a history and lab test are obtained. Treatment is initiated prior to an office visit if a probable diagnosis can be made. Most of these children have already suffered from a delay in diagnosis and/or inadequate treatment of their tick-bourne disease.
This is the background that led me to evaluate and treat two children from Nevada prior to my seeing them. My diagnosis of probable gestational Lyme disease and tick acquired Lyme disease was made on the basis of the history presented by their mother and my over 30 years of treating children with tick-bourne diseases. I have been reported to the Connecticut licensing board and have been charged with making the diagnosis of Lyme disease and initiating antibiotic treatment prior to examining them in my office and therefore am in violation of the “usual and customary standard of medical care”.
I have been offered the opportunity to have these charges dropped by retiring and surrendering my license to practice medicine in the state of Connecticut or I can appear before a panel of the Connecticut Medical Examining Board to include Martin Harwin, M.D. (a retired pediatrician) and Eugene Shapiro, M.D. (Yale-New Haven Hospital) for a formal hearing to take place in late January, 2006.
I do not intend to retire because I still have a firm calling and commitment to continue to help children with Lyme and other tick-bourne diseases. So as not to go before the board unarmed, my attorney Carl M. Porto, Sr. will need your help and support. Mr. Porto can be reached as follows:

Thank you for your help. Charles Ray Jones, M.D.

All this attorney needs is a letter (snail mail, not email) stating how Dr. J has helped you or your family.
For any here who have been helped by this good man, please share your thoughts in a short letter to his attorney.

God, now all the government health agencies are cracking down on lyme doctors who treat their patients with antibiotic therapy for longer than 30 days. That's ludicrous. A ton of doctors said they would give 50,000 dollars to whoever, espesically the CDC, can prove that 30 day antiobiotic treatment can cure a chronic case of Lyme Disease. I think they offered that challenge a few years ago. Yah, no one has stepped up, espescially not the CDC who the govermment agencies look to, to provide the information on how to treat lyme. The CDC is full of so much misinformation about Lyme Disease that it's scary. One of the most scariest things is that they report an estimate of the amount effected, and the real amount is 10 times their reported amount. And they don't recognize it as a national epidemic that needs to be looked for, and watched for. They treat it like a disease that no one gets and that is very rare, which is why I never got tested for Lyme DIsease until I was 22, because the Neurologists never thought my neurlogical decline could of been the effects of Lyme Disease. They didn't even think of it. Well it was, and it did cause all the effects of my decline, including CFS and joint pain.
Now, instead of going after the genetic food people who put antibiotics in all of there food products and for regular food producers who use antiobiotics on cows which gets transferred to humans, they go after docs who treat people longer than 30 days with antibiotics. The real danger is in everything you eat having antiobiotics in eat, and it scares the hell out of me. That will be the ultimate cause of antibiotic resistance, not doctors treating lyme patients. I wonder how much money they get for not going after the food people who poison what we eat with antibiotics? I just saw a report the other day about people putting antibiotics in cows and the fact that it could cause national rise in antibiotic resistance. I don't ever remember seeing an article on how treating lyme patients for a longer period of time other than 30 days with antibiotics could cause a national rise in antiobiotic resistance. Sorry, but it's common sense. Not to mention the docs who prescribe antibiotics falsely to people who have the flu and people who get infected and don't go the full course of their antibiotics which leads to reinfection and more antibiotics. These are all more serious problems that need investigating. Now my doc has had to face health officials to explain her side of the story, and was penalized for practicing what every doctor should practice: compassion for their patients, and understanding of the diseases that afflict them(rather than just flip through the CDC version and not take it with a grain of salt). I guess no good deed goes unpunished, espescially in this society eh?

Dear Dr. Jones:
I would love to help you in any way I can.
I am the moderator for Yahoo Groups, "finding1cure",
please come visit us if you like.
If I can help my personal email is
sedonia7@msn.com
I think there is more to this than meets the eye. I have always felt that the CDC knows everything there is to know about Lyme and especially in this day and time. They just don't want us to know.
The whole thing is ludicrous.
This makes me wonder what the CDC is really up to where Lyme is concerned. There is more than meets the eye.
There is more to know here. Not all what it seems.
Joanne

This makes me wonder what the CDC is really up to where Lyme is concerned. There is more than meets the eye. There is more to know here. Not all what it seems. Joanne I researched and found at that they do, in fact, most likely know the "truthful facts" of lyme disease, other than the crap they shovel on their website and blow off as facts. I believe I read that the government gave them every single word printed on the CDC about Lyme Disease, and that they basically could not print the true facts about this being an epidemic and all the other things that are so false it makes me sick. Some of the doctors of the CDC may be ignorant, but some may of done their research and showed that what they have in print about lyme has a lot of falseities. Most likely these doctors who were in the "know" and discussed that they needed to change the info, were immediatly cut down by the government. Believe me, the research I did does indicate that the government wants to keep the true facts of lyme locked up, which they will likely claim if they release the information that the public would go ballastic and crazy, but of course everyone knows that typical government excuse isn't true and there is something else there. Most likely population control. The poor people and sick people have been treated like poop in recent years, and the government has taken the survival of the fittest propaganda to the limits, which is completely without compassion for these victims, and shows that they have no morals or even a soul for that matter. How much money and power did they get from satan from their faustian pact eh? I hope it's enough to make them able to sleep at night, all of those evil people with agendas.

Can somebody explain to me how this is happening??? It blows my mind when an obviously very dedicated physican spends an entire lifetime trying to heal people, that there are people in the world that still look at things in terms of '' black and white ''.... What I mean is from all that I have learned there is no set protocal or regimented treatment for Lyme....Am I correct on this assumption??? If not ...then someone please feel free to set me straight...It seems to me that a doctor who is willing to "shoot from the hip '' is at least trying to help the people that are suffering.....After all the days are only 24 hours long and he does need to sleep sometime....I sincerely wish I could help in some way but for now rest assured that our prayers and eternal thanks for risking criminal prosecution to helps others are with you....You are a credit to your profession....God Bless You and may all things good happen to you....Rick of rickndebby....
