I bought the sulfur soap from the merchant suggested. It really is lovely, but I can't see a difference. Should I keep the lather on longer than just washing? If you know, please tell me who supplies sulfur lotions and/or powders for the skin?

Hello Newby,
I have left the SAL-3 on for awhile and sometimes for a couple of hours PRIOR to getting in the tub, I have lathered it onto troubled areas.
It is the salicitate acid that wears down the dead debris on the skin. That hardened-debris I think is protective of some lower lying infection. High concentration of the salicitate acid can damage the skin, and cause tenderness and puffing (there is a medical name for it) under the skin surrounding the lesions, so don't get crazy with salicitate acid, but this bar seems to have a good amount for sluffing of surface dead skin, hardened skin etc.
Dr. Harvey suggested Lactic Acid cream in his article and this can help the hardened skin or nodules as well and can be purchased at Walgreens (it is behind the counter at the pharmacy) called AmLactin. Lactic Acid Cream 12%.
There is a product in the first aid section at Walmart here in Arizona anyway, that is sulfur gooey substance for about $4.00 and is called POMADA DE AZUFRE meant for acne.
Others say you can get the sulfur powder at pharmacies.
On the WARTS thread, this guy washed his plantar wart area with SAL-3, then applied the sulfur powder and duct tape over it each day. He scanned his foot's progress and posted the pics!! In three weeks he healed what all the doctors couldn't!!!
Powerful stuff that sulfur powder.
