Since Lymebusters recently lost its memory, this information is posted again in the hope that it may help someone in their recovery from Morgellons, and Lyme if you also have that infection.
When my wife and I were sick with Lyme and Morgellons, we were not sure what bacteria, fungus, yeast, or fill in the _____, came first, so I decided to go for the mow 'em down approach with the most powerful herbs that we could buy.
The most important herbs, depending on degree of 'herxing' are:
Cat's Claw, Teasel, Olive Leaf Extract, Seven Forest Herbal formulas for Spirochetes ,Triphala, and Sarsaparilla.
Also: 2 Kyolic Garlic formulas (Immune and Antioxidant), Pau d'Arco, Folic Acid, NAC(Cysteine), Silver, Oregano, and Grape Seed Extract.
Also Artemisinin if you suspect Babesia.
For Sanity: Aromatherapy: Menthol crystals diffused into bedroom & office- calming to nerves and whatever itches like hell.
Lifesaver: Kleen-em-Away (enzyme cleaner) or equivalent.
Each item has a purpose and some have several. Some are antibacterial, anti-fungal, and a dewormer. Others are for taking care of the die-off of bacteria, yeast, fungus, and worms and flukes if you have those.
We had neuro-Lyme symptoms to the extreme. About the only thing we didn't lose was our sense of humor- although we mostly laughed at ourselves.
I feel like our present good health is due to attacking all infection and infestation at the same time- because they reinforce and sustain each other.
Knock out one and the others invite another.
Until the answers are revealed through research, if ever, of what attacks first and what follows, that riddle may not make a difference in how you treat your health problem- specifically Morgellons, which seems to encompass many infections and infestations.
As a gentle reminder Cat's Claw helps over 200 known medical conditions, and for my wife and I it was as close to a silver bullet for the bad guys as you could find.
Blue Skies..........John

What Mmeme said has reminded me of how thankful I am for you jwf. I printed out your recommendations a long time ago and have referred to them many times. I believe I would be much worse off if I hadn't started the supplements when I did. Thanks for being a constant throughout the years.

At the risk of sounding very southern I'll say you all are very welcome. Why Ann & I got well is probably a mystery- but the least we can do is share what we think helped.
Increased energy seems to be a byproduct of getting well. In addition to that, what helped me the most has been lots of sleep and regular workouts at the gym, including aerobic exercise. Also a 28 lb. weight loss with improved diet has been a big help. I just took up windsurfing and found that I have more stamina than the youngsters. What a blast. Cowabunga!!! Judging from your earlier picture Frisky, weight is not a problem for you. Maybe if you got back into belly dancing ;D Blue Skies...................John

Dear John,
Thank you so much for your post. It encouraged my heart this morning. Would you please take a little time and outline how you treated your environment? You mentioned the Enzyme Cleaner--how was this used? What did you do with the Menthol Crystals and where do you purchase them? Also, and I know this is different for everyone, but about how long w ere you ill before you began the herbal treatment and how long did you use them? Thank you more than you will ever know. t.

Hi T, The menthol crystals that we use came from Stony Mountain-- www.wildroots.com/index.php We put them in small sachets that can be left any- where you feel things getting itchy. I keep a couple under my pillow, and used to put them right next to my face when times were bad- everything gets right peaceful with menthol around. It is anti-fungal and antibacterial. A small electrical diffuser that simply heats oils is used to stop all activity in a room. We found that 3 days of diffusing crystals in a room makes it inhabitable for even those who are the most sensitive to the environment. This works especially well around electrical equip- ment like computers. Completely debugs the area.
During the worst of times we vacuumed our living area every night before bed, changed our sheets daily, took two showers a day, soaked our wash in 20 Muleteam Borax (2 hours), and used the Kleen-em-away enzyme cleaner everywhere, including ourselves.
We started using Cat's Claw and other herbs 1 1/2 years after getting dozens of nymph tick bites around Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. This was after one month of low dose doxycycline which is bacteriostatic at best. Our Morgellon symptoms- the itching, stabbing pains, crawling sensation, and the red, blue, and clear fibers, began to lessen within a couple of weeks of taking the herbs. We have been taking the herbs for Lyme and Morgellons now for 1 year 4 months non-stop and will continue until we test negative with Bowen and IgeneX for current infection. We are walking proof that you can be symptom free- and we hope to prove Lyme free in the near future, without major drug use. I agree with what Frisky mentioned ; the last thing to return is the energy that we often took for granted as kids. That's why I exercise- it helps. Blue Skies.....................John

Hi John, Thank you so much. The information will be very helpful. Would you briefly outline why you take each herb. I would like to know which ones to concentrate on since price is an issue. Again, thank you for taking your precious time to answer my question.
Warm regards, T

I have a few questions jwf, if you don't mind. If I get this diffuser --http://www.wildroots.com/scentball-aromatherapy-room-diffuser-p-1237.html I can put menthol crystals in it? www.wildroots.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=menthol+crystalsWhich size should I order of the crystals? Are there any other oils you would recommend to use in the diffuser? Any other products from this site you would recommend? I know this is asking a lot, so I really appreciate you taking the time.

Taking 1-2 tablespoons of Organic Flax Oil daily, either from the spoon, or on salads, etc...is beneficial to the integrity of the skin....the one which has borage added to it is an excellent one...Barlean's Organic Flax Oil...not only is it beneficial for skin integrity, but also for joints, muscles, and heart health....

The electronic aromatherapy diffuser box got thrown away a couple of weeks ago, but through the magic of Google-ing, here is the one I bought and prefer because there are no disposa- bles to buy. It has a ceramic disk that heats a removable (for cleaning) stainless steel dish for oils, in this case the menthol crystals. Ours was purchased at a local health food store for about $15.00. www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=137493&catid=76925&trx=PLST-0-SRCH&trxp1=76925&trxp2=137493&trxp3=1&trxp4
We think the pound of crystals purchase makes the best use of your money, if you are going to make the sachets and use the diffuser. The crystals may vary in size but not to big for the steel dish. No other aromatic oils worked as well as the menthol for stopping the itching. The three days for cleansing a room is a rough estimate of our trials- which meant filling the dish with crystals and the letting it run out, three days in a row. Hope that helps. Cat's claw was initially taken in amounts of 2-3 capsules/day and increased as the Herxheimer reaction became tolerable. Each person is so different that you will need to just listen to your own body and adjust your intake accordingly. More details on the other herbs later. Blue Skies.....................John

Y'all are welcome, although I feel it is my duty to mention what we think helped our return to good health. Olive Leaf Extract: Ann & I took a trip to Greece a few years back and found out about the Olive Tree and its many benefits to people- used for cooking, light, and as a supplement to ward off bacteria, viruses, yeast, and fungus. An Olive Tree lives for up to two centuries and in that time repels many types of invaders. For us, it is an antioxidant, and helps to reduce the bad cholesterol. Somehow it helps people lose weight- we ate like horses in Greece and every plate of food was soaked in olive oil- we lost weight. It is very cleansing to the gall bladder. Goodbye stones. There is evidence now that it is antiviral and is known to combat hepatitis and herpes in their many forms. It is definitely antibacterial- broad spectrum but does not seem to affect your friendly bacteria in the gut. It is excellent in combating candida and fungal infections. We feel like it should be taken if you are taking antibiotics. For Morgellons, it will boost your own immune system- and that is probably what will win the battle for you. Blue Skies..................John

John,
I feel like you're teaching me so much...I ordered the menthol crystals and the diffuser. I am already taking the Olive Leaf but didn't really know why until now. I will look forward to the next lesson. Bye for now, T

Dear John, I had one more question...with regard to the infestation aspect, where do you sit now?? What were you symptoms of infestation originally? And did I understand you that you thought the Cat's Claw helped with regard to that? Your time and thoughtfulness are much appreciated. Thanks again, T
