Now that they created all the BS jobs to keep women off the streets let's see what are they? shuffling the insurance papers, other paper shuffler jobs that are now required by law, and then all those daycare places that shove as many kids on a worker as possible. And all the fast food jobs, since american's quit eating at home. yep, lots of opportunity. Then they let industry go away. oh, and jobs rise when crime does, remember all the jobs that it generates. ugg. I'm so mad. Our internal structure collapses and what do they care. See what this article says. Two incomes let people have better lifestyles then the previous generation.
Of course, that doesn't say much for kids being raised by daycare centers that MAX the load. I guess that's improvement. And what about all the single parent head of households, at 40%, what kind of lifestyle do those households have? for the most part, they are under the federal poverty line & No subsidized day care if single parent make just a few penny's over starving. Car better not breakdown or no food kids.
I'm just sick of the bull. If you want your engineering or computer job back, then ...go to india.
This generation has this "income" only if two professionals make the big bucks and skews the percent up for all the rest who struggle.
Next generation they say, won't enjoy the increasing standard of living. If only they knew the right rules to measure standard of living by.
Most people can't get health care or even hold on to a fulltime job with benefits because companies can no longer pay after downsizing, and changes in federal policy, and shipping our jobs overseas.
So, why won't the next generation have an increased standard of living? Because they can't tap a third pair of hands when marriages involve two people. Hey, maybe they should allow threesomes to exist as legal marriages, and call that a household. 3 incomes per household and we can still enjoy a standard of living.
What about the old days. Families had lots of kids. Lets remember, a lot of kids ended up in orphanages when parents divorced. It wasn't pretty for those kids.
What else was routine? Oldest children got jobs and helped the family support the younger siblings who couldn't work yet.
sounds like three or four household incomes to me.
sounds to me like I see the handwriting on the wall.
