I appreciate your interest XXXXX, However, Dave XXXX, who owns the office I practice in, is closing July 31. Given that circumstance and my age, its a good chance to consider ending a life of practice...and more importantly, getting all the research data we've collected into publication for ALL clinicians to read.
I think perhaps this is great news. BTW Dr. Harvey retired about three years ago. I remember receiving his heartfelt letter explaining, and I literally cried while reading it even though his office and nurses had made me well aware it was comming. He was my first Lyme Doctor, kind and highly intelligent. He renewed my faith in not only competent doctoring but that they are also capable of using logic and reason in a sound and methodical way... even when the circumstances may at first appear out of the ordinary.
I flew to San Antonio with my then 4 yr old, and then drove three hours on to Del Rio (via cab). It was worth every dime and every exhausting effort... for I have never been or felt that sick (before seeing him), again (after approx three weeks on the meds). He then came out of retirement, and I am sorry for those who had planned seeing him for an extended amount of time.... BUT BUT BUT... I truly believe his time is better spent researching and advocating... absolutely!!!!! More beneficial to us all. He was the first Physician to even acknowledge Morgellons, and to speak out about it. And he never waivered his position due to public scrutiny and/or slander. I would imagine his credentials and experience have anchored him as being so reputable that scare tactics and character deprecations do not phase him. i.e. board cert in nuclear medicine, board cert in internal med, physician for astronauts at NASA, taught at Columbia Univ., on and on and I believe he even has a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering... whew. He is our strongest advocate, and has been our hero whether you were a patient or not.
I can't imagine him not pushing forward. Of course he will. He must. His first retirement letter stated he needed more time to dedicate toward research and educating peers. So I would assume he will continue. If for some reason he doesn't... it mayy be because he can not. Even if he does not continue simply because he'd like to golf or just rest finally... then I for one will understand and respect his decision.
Thank you Chicago Bonnie for allowing my little tribute... he means so much to us. Thank you Dr. Harvey.

DOCP, I WILL MISS DR HARVEY. I RESEARCHED DOCTORS FOR A LONG TIME AND FOUND HIM AND IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN HE WAS HANDLING MORGELLONS. I JUMPED FOR JOY. BUT WAS NEVER ABLE TO GET IN TO SEE HIM. HE MOVED FROM TEXAS THEN I HEARD HE RETIRED. THEN I HEARD HE WAS BACK AND STARTED CALLING HIS OFFICE. I NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL. THEN I KEPT LOOKING FOR HIS EMAIL ADDRESS AND FINALLY I FOUND IT. I EMAILED HIM AND HE SAID HE WAS RETIRING. OBVIOUSLY I WAS NOT MEANT TO SEE HIM. I RESPECT HIM AND WISH HIM WELL AND HAVE CRIED A FEW TEARS AS WELL AND ONLY WISH HIM THE BEST. BUT SOME OF ME FEELS LIKE I AM DYING HIM AS I WATCH HIM GO. CHICAGO BONNIE

Things are starting to improve for me too! I was conforted when I saw your name here.
We will be strong and get thru this. I lost my mother suddenly on March 10th, 2007. She was only 66. I greive her; however, it's been like little miracles are happening since her death. She sends me messages all the time. The dead simply are not in human flesh, but they remain alive in a different energy form.
No other way to figure out how my mom can still communicate with me. She didn't totally believe in Morgellons when she lived on Earth,................However; now after her death, She does. She's proved it in ways ONLY she could.
Keep in Touch and be well, I'm very happy to hear you are near a normal life with meds as am I. The meds are essential to prevent lesions and neuro problems.
KMarie, sorry about your mom, how very sad. I am not all that close to my mom, but I do talk to her almost daily about my other five sisters and brother. I would miss her if she died. Sometimes I feel so alone in this world. But then, my granddaughter is so sweet, three years old and she loves me lots and I get energized with her hugs. And then, i am not alone. Do you remember way back when we were on that other site? I was a real basket case, i felt like I was going to die, i lost of ton of weight, had lesions and swollen legs and hands, my lungs felt like there was dust on them, and the biting and crawlie feeling was almost maddening. But somehow we made it, by the grace of God, we are still here and I pray daily for someone somewhere to discover what is wrong with our bodies. Thanks for writing and keep the faith dear one. Blessings, CB Socalsandy and toni, tinidizole and minocycline works best for me for over three years now. I so wish i did not have to take this stuff, but it has saved my life.
ChasSansc2: What does this all mean? I would suggest that anyone who has Morgellon to add 1 cup of LEMON JUICE to every load of laundry they do, start drinking lemon water and maybe even start taking baths with at least 2 cups of LEMON JUICE in it.

ChasSansc2: I used straight LEMON JUICE on my body, as well as Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. A word of caution, LEMON JUICE on the face can feel like Mace (it burns), so, you may want to dilute it before applying the LEMON JUICE soaked wash cloth.

Pipster: I've had success w/antifungal remedies...after trying others. The bugs might be fungus drawing them in? GMO's are made with a fungus that bonds the DNA of one species to another. Mild fungal & parasitic infections worsen w/EMF waves...weaken immune system.

Pipster: It is fungal related and many natural, antifungal remedies work best. It takes time but don't give up.
