How to Copy and Paste
The two most-used ways to copy and paste are as follows:
~Mouse - 2 choices
1. Dragging function
Place your curser at the beginning or end of the text you want copied and left click with your mouse, then drag across the text until all of it is highlighted. Right click the mouse and choose Copy, then go to where you want the info copied. Left click and place your curser where you want to start. Right click, choose the Paste option, and the info will be there.
2. Select All function
Place your curser anywhere on the text you want copied. Right click, then choose the Select All function and you will see the entire text is highlighted. Right click again and choose the Copy function. Place your curser where you want the info to be placed, right click and then choose the Paste function.
All copied material will stay in your mouse until you copy something else or turn off your computer.
~Top Toolbar - 2 choices
1. Place your curser at the beginning or end of the text you want copied. Left click with your mouse, then drag across the text until all of it is highlighted. Go up to your top toolbar and left click on Edit, then left click on Copy. Place your curser where you want the info pasted and left click on Edit again. This time left click on Paste and the info will be copied for you.
2. Place your curser anywhere on the text you want copied. Go up to your top toolbar and left click on Edit, then left click on Select All. Your entire text should be highlighted. Left click on Edit again and choose Copy, then place your curser where you want the info copied to. Left click on Edit, left click on Paste, and the info will be copied for you.
Copying A Website URL (link) Into An Email or Chat Board Message Window
While on the website page, left click on the Address Bar at the top of your screen and it will be highlighted. Lef click on Edit, then left click on Copy. Go to your email message window and place your curser where you want the link to go. Left click on Edit again and choose Paste, the address will be there.
You may also use the Copy/Paste functions of your mouse to do the same thing.
