Hey all,
I was wondering what your experience has been with ILADS doctors that are treating morgellons? I have not been impressed by the PA I went to see. She didn't advice me to get my blood drawn for the Igenex Test at the initial consultion. Said it was unnecessary and that the other tests would prove that I had a lyme infecton or not. After the first appointment she placed me immediately on lamictal and wrote out the manditory ivermectin prescription that they deam as suitable treatment for morgellons.
Could I have been prescribed the wrong medications and actually becoming worse? Should my gastrointestinal tract have been checked first before to see if a pathogenic bacteria was altering the gut flora before I was placed on antibiotics that would caused further damage to my already fragile intestines?
Is this patient being helped? Physicians assistant:
-dismisses patient's symptoms/past history.
-does not realize that the patient has severe brain fog and thereby cannot give complete clinical picture at initial appointment, thereby hindering accurate diagnoses and treatment.
- eagerly prescribes bipolar medicine before an antibiotic test is initiated to see if psych symptoms improve.
- forgets the day and time she has a phone consultation scheduled with her patient.
and then her secretary subsequently states she cannot make the phone consultation because she is currently seeing a patient in her office. secretary calls a day later to reschedule appointment.
-orders $4000 of lab work and tests that are questionable such as for Celiac Disease before its known whether or not my insurance plan (Kaiser) will
approve it.
To be continued....
I now would like to ask what YOUR experience has been with your medic?
Please share your experiences as a reply.
