If you can get past the pitch, the base of what she does or better said, why she does what she does to treat patients, is absolutely brillant as far a toxicology is concerned. Just my opinion.

One thing I can vouge for is (light therapy) is wonderful for the skin, in that it rejuvenates - induces cellular repair. And it's non invasive (meaning it doesn't tear up the surface of the skin while being treated) and the skin LOVES these types of treatments as one can see the results. Here's some links to (light therapies) www.ehow.com/about_5098940_pulsed-infrared-light-therapy-home.htmlwww.intensepulsedlightreview.com/I sure don't argue in what light therapy does in "helping" our cells as I too have had MANY of these treatments done on my face. I'd learned about light therapy YEARS before I knew of Morgellons. So that was my reason for having these (sessions done) as I did when I first discovered something was wrong inside my skin, body. Right before I knew I had Morgellons my pores opened up on my face. I KNEW something was wrong (didn't know I had Morgs). This is when I had these treatments done - approx 8-6 months before I learned of the word Morgellons. Interesting that most of my Morgs problems though (still) till today are in my face. Hummmm Not that these sessions/treatments aggravated anything, but...ime (in my experience) it didn't phase Morgs...or I'd not have Morgs in my face for the last 5 or more years. Imho (with my experience) it can't hurt (light therapy) but for me...since I've had this and many more light therapy treatments, and still have Morgs in my face, I can say these type treatments didn't rid my morgs at all, but, did make my skin collagen/protein production help in appearance of my skin. I wish of course "light therapy" for myself being treated specifically on my face could have "pushed out" the toxins or whatever is in there to FREE me of Morgs, but...it didn't. Now (this of course is only my experience) and because LIGHT therapy was used on me "only" on my face and thousands of dollars worth of treatments, I feel I'm a good guinea pig for this subject. I had and STILL have Morgellons, and mostly in my face today. I certainly am not knocking this type treatment, I'm ONLY sharing my $12,000.00 worth of experience. I too would like to hear from the Morgies mentioned in the article that say they're treated and FREE of Morgellons symptoms.

Toni,
FIR is not light therapy but heat therapy. She promotes her own carbon units, so in that sense, its a promotion. But many including those in the lyme forums are also using FIR, or heat therapy in many types of units, including portable units.
Her use of it, is precedent setting. What they are finding in the lyme forums, is that not only is it good for detoxification, but also mycoplasma.
I did this when I first went on her protocol. I had to go everyday for two weeks. It took me quite sometime to even sweat. And then, when I did, the herx reaction from doing it, was incredibly severe. Days for me to recover. I think most are familar with my history, and so detoxing through my skin, just wasnt a good thing at that point in time. In fact, the herxes were so severe, that to this day, I am very timid about trying it again.
I would really like some information though on light therapy. I know very little about it. I see you gave some links, I would be most grateful if you could send more this way. I am sure there are others also interested in this.
Hugs,
Frito

Frito Frito and JWF If you can get past the pitches she has used over the years, yes I agree 100%. She has taken her lifes work and applied it very well doing the best she can do on all avenues. I certainly won't hold that against anyone. Yes, she is brilliant. She is also a very focused business women which is probably where those sales pitches come in to play. She clearly has researched and traveled to bring the best of technology here and market it. Yes, Carbon based Far Infrared makes sense but the price does not. I understand how that works and It to will come down when the competitors and the next newer best of the best technology surfaces. Sauna and detoxification discussion goes way back. I'm glad to see it getting attention again. Nano 9-11 foreign invader not only addressed morgellons (in Staningers work) but those suffering after 9-11 on ALL avenues. Those working on cleanup after 9-11 will be facing ill effects for the rest of their lives. So will everyone 9-11 effected. Toxicology, Environmental and Alternative medicine is on the rise and will continue to be. Mainstream Media is now bringing it to more of the general publics attention. That is a good thing. Watched The Dr's one day this week and this happened to be on. ____________________________________________________ Alternative Medicine: Is It Right for You?www.thedoctorstv.com/main/show_synopsis/427?section=synopsisEnergy Medicine Thermographic Body ScanThermography is an imaging technique that uses a high-resolution infrared camera to measure the distribution of heat on the surface of the body. The technique allows practitioners to assess how well a patient’s autonomic nervous system is functioning, as evidenced by the distribution of blood flow in his or her body. Neuroacoustic Therapy Neuroacoustic therapy is a form of audio-visual entrainment, or synchronization, which helps re-set brainwaves to more desirable frequencies to facilitate healing and wellness. Patients lie in an anti-gravity chair, wearing headsets programmed with binaural beats and glasses programmed with multi-colored lights that flash according to the programmed frequency. The stimuli override a patient’s brainwave frequencies, re-setting them to the desired pattern. Spa Ocean TherapyPatients lie in a hydro-sensory pod and are exposed to infrared heat, steam, and color therapy. “We can actually bring your energy up or calm your energy down,” Dr. Lobe says. Electro-Photonic Aura Imaging Electro-photonic imaging uses a process known as gas discharge visualization (GDV) to provide an electronic picture of an individual’s human energy field, or aura. The test provides an image of a patient’s energetic balance and may reveal root causes of health problems. ____________________________________________________ IMHO at this point (as far as Morgellons is concerned) nothing has been unlocked. However, Far Infra Red Sauna Therapy (based on my own personal experience over the years) aids in healing, detoxification, balance and well being. Direct and to the point, that will help with illness in general. JJ

I'll come back with more questions. You tend to answer them before I ask Thanks JJ

Hugs, Frito Frito, yes, your first paragraph says about "light therapy being different from the FIR because of "the heat"."
IPL what I had "amongst a few" and the V-Beam which is "targeted light" to heat the cells, just as FIR. It's what it does or for, "induces cellular rejuvenation, and collagen production etc by heating the cells, is almost exactly parallel to the FIR.

JJ,
Yes, four about five days, in the 160 degree FIR for 30 minutes, i would not sweat! Yes, I was hot, and after getting out was a feeling of calm. And then all hell broke loose.
I would then sweat copiously, and after the fatigue was dibilatating. Then the toxin headache, sore joints, couldn't get out of bed for days feeling.
Yes, I was detoxifying, but at that point in time I do not believe I had the right support for my body to do FIR. I also believe my body was extremely toxic and it most definately was sick. I think I should have waited to actually start FIR further into her program, after giving my body a chance to recover a bit. i mean, I went from bad to bad. Learning experience, and my posts shouldn't reflect a negativity to FIR use. I do believe it is quite helpful. Just in my case, too helpful in a stage in which my body craved some support.

Toni, I'm interested in light therapy too. That may fall into energy? Certain therapies targeting certain areas dring moon phases makes sense to me.
Really need to find a good alternative Dr with a conventional background and explore in alot of areas. There may be a good prospect to do nutritional, mineral and hormonal testing in this area.
Frito, I haven't experienced herxing as extreme as you describe, but I did herx a little. Exercising before hand stimulates further detoxing, but you probably know that. I understand your concerns and hesitancy. I'd like to see more sweating in my case as well.

I used Dr. Staningers machines for about 4-5 months... but I could only drive down to see her once a month. I decided you have to go in at least 5 days a week (as most of her patients do) to see any results. It never helped me at all... but I do agree that she knows what she's talkin about. It just takes more time than I could give to it being she's 80 miles from me (also took money I don't have.) I know 2 of her patients who go in almost daily and both have had bad relapses with morgs... but that's not to say some have been helped by it either. Just sharing the info I'm aware of for you. I'm still waiting to hear about my chip from Dr. Staninger. Supposedly the lab has photos and reports for her but she hasn't received them yet. That's the last I heard anyway... I'll check on it again.

JJ,
You know, I'm really not sure if the light therapy is in the field of "energy"...heck, hahah I can't remember. It seems like forever that I've been 'into this stuff' like I was. Sort of like cooking to me, in that if I've not made something in awhile...I get rusty on what all went into that particular recipe.
I may be saying something that is soooo incorrect, but I'd think it would be, only because "light or lights of different colors stimulate" cells differently. And some lights can be "ablative" to this tissue, whereas some "lights" aren't, like the V-Beam isn't ablative, or the IPL (intense pulsed light therapy) - those aren't tissue ablating, as they target cells, and heat them up, with is basically a cellular stimulator.
Cells love the stimulation which is what keeps them in their best working order.
It's "as I recall" the best way to rejuvenate the body actually.
As we age, cellular "turnover" and "cellular rejuvenation" slow down, so anything we can do to keep them hoppin, is what keeps the body functioning at it's best.
That's why also (some topicals) like glycolics or salicylics or copper peptides (these topicals) have molecules small enough to penetrate the dermis and actually stimulate cells to promote cellular turnover, which in turn "rejuvenates" the cells. When topicals for instance "stimulate cells in this manner"...the skin looks younger longer, and fresher.
Light therapy works deeper in the skin. It's not "superficial", so it can reach down into the tissue where topicals can't.
It's amazing what light therapy can do, and I do believe that in the near future, this will be used to target all kinds of diseases.
Heating the cells basically to cause them to "become stimulated and rejuvenate", is great - which I too can see the advantage of causing cells to become stronger, but, I personally don't know how at this time one can shake off a cell to rid it of contamination.
(if you know what I mean). Otherwise "it seems to me" that me as an example (having Morgs in the face) that that would be the last place I'd have it, since I've done so much "light and cell targeting therapy" on my face.
See...that's where it doesn't make sense to me....for Morgellons. I'm sure not saying it's not a good thing, because every bit helps, but, I don't get it completely I guess. And because I am the one with Morgs in the facial cutaneous, and have had soooo many "applications/treatments/procedures" ....yet my Morgs remains.

PS, I was just thinking about something in regards to "our cells". So I thought I'd post this too. Because we are "made up of cells"...if we think of doing a few things "for our cells" as I always like to refer to them as: Our Little Guys ;D Well...sometimes (what helps me keep on track in a fun way is) Understanding that our little guys (cells) need attention so they work hard for us. I think of how they need water (to keep clean) - which can only happen by us drinking lots of water daily. ;D And fresh veggies so we don't choke them to death with junk. I think about how best to ( protect ) them from toxins in the body- and that is with antioxidants. And how to keep them alive - is by giving them lots of air - which we do each time we breathe deeply and or exercise. And they love being refreshed/recharged/rejuvenated, so they don't get lazy on us - and that's by stimulating them (and a great way is either heat therapy like the FIR or Light therapy that stimulates with pulsed heat. ;D Silly way to think about our little fella's but, it helps in understanding what really is useful for better health.

Toni, You are about the sweetest girl that ever did walk this green earth! I absolutely love your playful spirit. You bring a certain innosense, a pure quality, a lightness-of-being to this madness, not to mention considerable intelligence and insight. You are an absolute treasure! JJ, thanks for your wise counsel and most useful experience too. I have to ask about "where and how"...i.e., the ethics of Morg treatment. I have a deep, deep dread of leaving a trail of endlessly- shed Morg monsters everywhere I go. I no longer go to the gym, or the pool, (regular) sauna or steam room, which I used to lust for, after a workout. Where do you get far infared treatments? This may be neurotic as hell, since I do go to work, and the grocery store and into shops... but I dread increasing exposure for others, especially in a gym-type setting where body exposure is so much greater, no matter how well you wipe down equipment. If I go around with my spray bottle of disinfectant, they'll throw a net over me and cart me off to a state mental hospital. Do you have your own equipment? How do other people handle this? This plague has already cost me $ 40,000 big ones, and Im now in a small rental house-share where I cant set up a sauna, even if I COULD afford one. Advice please.... waldenflo

How do I get more Yin energy without accupuncture?
