I have a friend whose hair has been turning gray since his early 20's, and was nearly white a year ago at the age of 61. His natural hair color is dark brown. He has Morgellons, though is in and out of denial. He has had symptoms for 6-7 years, though no lesions and I don't think he has fibers, at least not visible ones. He lives in NY, I in FL. About a month ago we were on the phone and he said "I don't know what is wrong with my scalp" (I held my breath here) "I'm scratching it and all this black stuff is just coming off, it's under my nails, I can just shake it out". I screeched, of course, and said "STOP!!!! GET IN THE SHOWER RIGHT NOW AND SCRUB YOUR HAIR AND SCALP, AND CLEAN YOUR NAILS!!!". Well, he did, and hasn't reported another episode of that. (A few days later he said something about the "black specks" - which I'd talked about forever in the previous months). Well, here is the kicker. He is down visiting for a few days and his gray/white hair is returning to dark brown. He needed a haircut, and he looks at the clippings when it is done and says "Is that MY hair???" It was mostly the clippings from the back of his head, but the front and sides are also turning. Another friend was also visiting and noticed the change. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else? I know Cheetah, you said that your roots were coming in the color you are dying your hair (if I remember correctly)?? This thing from hell is more bizarre than anyone could ever dream up. I never saw a sci-fi movie that could compare to this. Bessie

bessie, 3 years ago I got my last haircut and just before I died it the very lightest colour of blonde I could find as the lighter the better to blend in with the grey. I have not died it since. The under side of my hair has returned to the lovely blondish brown that it used to be when I was young. The top is turning blonde just like my hair was as a child. I still have a bit of grey but it blends right in. In addition, it is healthier than ever and long, down to my waist, first time this long in years. Before, I thought it had stopped growing. Weird, I know. But you are not alone...

Oh, no Bessie...I bet I did not explain it right so that anyone could understand.......I was trying to say that the hair color that I put on my hair...Well, That is the color of the hair/fibers that are coming out of my skin. My hair is brown to medium and I put a very deep brown on my hair and I swear that is the exact same color that the hair/fibers are that are coming from my skin. That is why it freaked me out so bad. A couple of years ago I had some blonde streaks in my hair and I took some samples of the hair/fibers down to my moms house and she was looking at them... Well they were the same color as my hair as well. She looked at me funny and I said I know...It just looks like my hair except for the knotted up things that look all crazy like someone has tied a fish hook with fish wire... So I did an experiment... Just to make sure it was not some hair that had just fallen on my leg or back... Rinsed off really well and tied my hair up and put a bag over my hair and rinsed off again really well and started rubbing my skin with some sulfur soap and I mean to tell you... Same thing...long hair/fibers coming out of my skin...plain as day. Like I said....... my sister video taped me doing this... My hair is coming in so gray. I must be at least 50%..and the growth rate is unreal and I already went on and on about that. My hair is GM'd...bigger faster..WAY THICKER... Oh I might add this...If I do not put my hair in a pony as soon as I get out of the shower I cannot get it into a pony because it gets out of control...I swear it swells to 3 times it's thickness... This hair thing is really something else. Now, I have not experienced my hair color going back to what it used to be seems I am having the opposite as I said the gray... I wished it would grow back to natural color....that would be nice Hell, I wished everything would go back to natural. That would be even nicer...Oh ya.
How's Sis?

One of the symptoms of stenotrophonomas maltophilia is the changing of hair color.
S. maltophilia was one of the early suspect causes of morgellons. In fact, after having reviewed the symptoms of S. maltophilia, all of my morg symptoms complete the list.
when i first started noticing symptoms a year and a half ago, it took me more than a month to reach the state intelligence officer for epidemic diseases.
it was difficult getting a hold of him as he was away from his office fighting an outbreak of S. maltophilia in several hospitals and farming communities.
it was around that time I was consuming volumes of salads to improve my health.
i think the salads is what gave me morgellons.

You know I often wonder that myself too Kamefromsky.
I'm a salad freak myself, and S. Maltophilia is one of the first things I suspected too.
But I've got a different "spin" on why and how S. Malt. got in there.
GM uses Stenotrophomonas Maltophilia in the seeds to prevent UV rays from discipating the Bacillus Thuringiensis. Otherwise "crops growing in the sun"....the Bt wouldn't hold up.
It's used for the "built-in pesticide" in plants, so that every cell of our crops grow with this in it from the get-go.

My hair color has changed several times. Just different shadess of brown and sometimes changes within a few days time. The kicker for me is that it has gone from extremely curley to moderately curley. These things have the ability to morph according to whatever is on, under or near them.

So that's 2 others besides my friend that have had this really bizarre thing happen. My poor friend - you should have seen the look on his face when he looked at the clippings...."Is that MY hair?!?" I will report this to a couple of the big researchers... Bessie
