Does anyone know what a piece of normal pre chewed gum looks like? Cause my gum looks like there is worm like things in it. Also the gum is stringing and fiber looking. I did see two fibers when looking under the scope one blue and one red. I once in while chew gum cause my mouth gets dry and there are times that the gum gets smaller and breaks into pieces. The small pieces seem like they are trying to make it down my throat and it almost chokes me. I took so photos of the gum that I chewed today for about 4 hours. I'm going to TRY and share them with you guy but will see what happens. The gum I chew is called FREEDENT made by Wrigley's it's made from sugar, gum base, corn syrup, 2 precent of glycerol and contains phenylalaine. massena

I used to have this problem with the gum. my gums looks like I did some good bitting on it and like if I have some cloted pores. when I eat my food that stays in my mouth all of a sudden starts to grow. I try not to think about it. I use a salt rinse before I brush my teeth and this helps some.

Massena
Boy are we on the same thinking wave length. Yesterday I was thinking about how possibly chewing gum might help eliminate some things that are in our mouth or even in our gums, by chewing on gum. Cause they'd get stuck in the gum.
Great pic Massena (Did you just get a camera)?
I'm not sure what gum would look like but maybe if you could put it in the oven (just to warm it up) keeping it on the slide, then put it back under the scope and you can take a needle and slowly separate it/pull it apart gently and see if there's fibers in it.
I say the "heat of the oven" because gum heated up with be very pliable.
Also here's what my thoughts were yesterday, chewing daily on either peppermint gum (since they don't like peppermint) or even that gum called (Clove Gum).
That might help remove any (things) from in our mouth.
