I took this picture just before I drained my hot tub, doesn't look like the stuff you find in your bath water? If it's not from the sky it must be from me. So now I make sure that I take a bath first and than go right out into the hot tub. Some days when the wind is blowing hard I get all kinds of weird things including fiber like looking things , bees, flies , yellowjackets and use to get some ladybugs. Also had a dragon fly laying eggs in my spa...................... This all really creeps me out that I don't even want to use my pool and hot tub anymore!!!!!! I wonder if it is morgies ........... massena

Massena, that is really something. You know, can you scoop up a few of those things, and scope them? Curious to see what they look like up close. (whenever you get a chance).

That's okay Massena, most of us have done the same thing at one time or another, not realizing just how the board would display photos. Thank you very much!

Massena I see the brick masonry, and the drain, so there's a size reference. The debris on top appears to be lit by the flash so they're all white and don't have enough detail to show anything strange. I second Toni's request for closer-up views. Bugs and pseudo-bugs are puzzle pieces.
Or are you talking about the giant larva in the upper right? Seriously, that's some kind of filter or bath sponge I hope, or you're in real trouble, girl - it might be hungry or laying eggs, or.....

I'm not really seeing what it is you're seeing either. Could you point it out? (Maybe start a new thread when you re-size the pic??)

I don't know what you are refferring to in the photo either, it could be ANYTHING from my morgie experience. It wouldn't surprise me if you just found that the morgies created the tub itself overnight.
I have a tub also, I like to chlorinate the suckers sometimes. I have found a few weird things in there. I recently drained and cleaned it and found a couple of odd bugs. I wouldn't have thought much of it, except, I DO have a good cover on my tub, and I did recently remove a "bee-like" thing from my shin. I found a strange looking spider that looked similar to some "morgie item" photos that I have seen -and then a malformed water bug, it resembled an "oarsman beetle" and it was very alive but it didn't really seem to know how to swim. They were both the "morgie-goldish-yellow" color. Apologies for sharing.

Well you guys are right I should of taken some samples and put them under the scope. Next time I will toni.it's too late now I drained. You can only see this when the sun shinning on it a certain way. I just thought it was odd to have all that stuff in my water. Unknowncat ,yes I too have found all kinds of bugs in my pool not so much my hot tub ,thank you for sharing that! I did take samples in to my pool store and they gave me some spa alkalinity to put in because it was low .........which the ingredient is sodium bicarbonate. Thanks for all your feedback........ massena

There were posts about WPAFB experimenting with sprays using pheromones that would attract insects in mass.
Perhaps, you were guineau pigged like the rest of us.
