I was sitting in a chair staring absent mindedly at the kitchen floor. I was exhausted and had been sitting there for a few minutes just staring a a white paper towel that had fallen to the floor.
I never would have noticed this if I hadn't been staring at this white paper towel, my eyes picked up a sudden arching movement from the area to the side of the towel and then I noticed there was something in the middle of the towel that had not been there a second ago. It was reddish brown, a smidge smaller than a pencil eraser .
I looked at it under magnification and sure enough it was one of those Morgellons things, sort of triangular shaped with the "sail" extending out of the ridge on the back.
I have never seen one of these move before. It had propelled itself at least 8" to get to the center of the towel. It couldn't have fallen off me because of the direction it came from.
These things can jump!

Wow Glennb, that is really something!
Do you have it? Or can you bag it in a zip lock or something?

I don't think they can fly as they have no wings. I suspect they propel themselves with an appendage called a furcula. Springtails use this mechanism to move.
Yes I did save it. It looks similar to what has been posted by many others.

Do you have a way to take a pic of it? Would love to see what you mean about the "sail thing" it has.
Thank you Glennb.
