My scalp biop isnt for a couple days and all they said was to not use anything on it day of appt. I was under the LED light and saw that the popping I felt/feel on my head are teeny tiny hair looking things. Except since when do unattached hairs just spring out of your scalp? I'm terrified of spreading all over me and clothes, house etc. I'm trying to find that Viodine shampoo local but no luck. Still have 2 places that may have it. But I need to do something NOW. The reason I was asking about alkalining scalp is I hoped it would calm this down at least. I am going to get those buffer thingie capsules and work on body as well but I need to do something immediately. thanks

Toni, bess your heart I tried the yogurt treatment but sadly for me it didnt help. I tried a few times too cause I really wanted it to work. Chalk it up to the contradiction of morgs. Ya know morgellons is really a show-offy kinda bug. Just when ya think ya see a pattern SURPRISE ...it proudly says look what else I can do

kiki, this might sound wierd but does the "crazy scalp" feeling ever happen when you do something, like rest your chin on your arm, or when you lay a certain way, something like that, as if putting tension on a part of your body can cause it? I'm asking for a real reason and not trying to be funny.

I wish there WAS a crazy question about this crap! No its pretty much non-stop(dont know what it does when I sleep). I can can only SEE them in with that therapy light but feel em all the time. When it started I thought it was b/c of shaved scalp--itchy but I think the shaving disrupted them or something. My scalp was my first sign of this but always looked healthy so I was baffled that they saw something I didnt (hah! thats a switch) but now I see a red spot but could be nick I guess.

It first hit me in my hair on my head too kiki. I'm sorry to say, but I've tried everything under the sun and moon and haven't gotten any good results. The only time I felt little or no crawling was when I first shaved my head after most of my hair had already fallen out. But it only lasted maybe 5 days before it all came back. Even with no hair, it soon began to feel just like it did when I had alot of hair....... I'm sorry I can't say much of anything good here.
Is a doctor doing a biopsy of your scalp? Does he know about morgs? I had a biopsy done in the beginning of some of the skin behind my ear where I had a lump but they didn't see anything....... cuz they can't. Especially if they don't know morgellons ya know? Let us know what happens tho k?
love you ~~ bannanny

Kiki,
I wish that would have worked (the yog/milk mix) sorry it didn't. Everyone I know that's tried it and left it on, it did (which is why I push that) for trial for others to just 'try'.
Well...another idea! Heck we've got em right? ;D
Mix 1 tsp of baking soda with two tsp of water. Allow it to dissolve.
Add that (above) to 3-5 tablespoons of hair conditioner, and apply that to your head. That way, it's not "straight" baking soda, but more like "baking soda mixed into your conditioner"...so it's diluted, and has consitency to stay put.
That should help alkaline topically. Sort of like "neutralizing your scalp.
Hope that works for you. It's safe, and it's worth a try.

kiki you still seemed confused about PH .. the only ph ing that will help morgellons is PH ing your body from the inside ,, you dont clean a house by painting it first , same thing with your body you have to clean the inside first ,, moe

I agree. The insides first. Using topical products to alkaline will help, but only very temporary (while they're on).

Toni you explained what I was trying to say perfectly! You are too cool for school ;D Im gonna do the baking soda/conditioner tonight. I'm wondering though how long I'm to keep it on. Minutes, hours, overnight? I have a pack of hair conditioning caps- they remind me of the shower caps in motels. Should I wear one of those? Also the only conditioner I have has tea tree oil in it. Maybe I should use different base?? Hey! I got a bottle of glycerine to experiment with. Do you think that could replace conditioner?

kiki, Try a salicylicacid shampoo. Walgreens has one. Rub into scalp firmly. This will exfoliate and drive some of the fibers out. Then after a rinse with water, rinse with apple cider vinegar. This will drive more stuff out of the pores, and hopefully cut down the itchies. Then rinse vinegar out with water. Good luck.

Kiki, Tea tree conditioner is good too The baking soda added to just about anything (even shampoo) will help you neutralize. That would be okay to leave on from minutes to hours. It will dry out after awhile because of the conditioner (drying). A cap is fine too If you add alittle of your glycerine to that mix (like 1/2-1 tsp) that will work well, but make it feel a teeny bit sticky (as glycerine feels very sticky). Adding it to your conditioner though, will help cut that stickiness, and keep it (wet like). Which is good.

I know the baking soda works pretty well, it worked great on my hand anyway with the olive oil. Strange sounding combo but when you're desperate, it seems you can soon find what helps eh? Don't know why it wouldn't work just as well on the head as it did on my hand!
Good luck kiki,
