I would say that once a month we get the feather thing going on. Today, as I was on my way out, I noticed a feather on my jacket (not a down one). I took it off real quick and threw it away. Then before I could get to the sink to wash my hands, I touched my lip with my finger that was touching the feather and WOW! It felt like I was stung by a bee! now my lip is swollen. I doused it with TTO. Does anyone have any more information about what those feathers are? They really have me stumped.

I found some feathers too. I thought they were from my daughter's coat until I found one that was the exact same shade of my newly dyed hair. Also, the hairs are much shorter than bird feathers. I have seen a few white ones since then. I think mine came off my scalp and floated down. A friend has pulled them out of her skin too and says they make her bleed like crazy and has noticed the barbed end too.

I,ve found feathers also, and tried to dismiss it until now, as though...........
Nawwww, it can't be a part of this Disease, Now after all of this, I must conclude that it was a part of it.

Just the other day, I pulled what looked like a very small white barb, from between my lower gum and cheek skin. It was white and spiny looking. When I touch my tongue to that now empty place, I feel a small crater. It also feels like for the first time, it's going to heal. Greg, just when you think it's safe to go in the water.............

Hello My Friends, I have several feather adorned objects in my home. I closed my business last year, as I could no longer work. I owned & operated a theme party store & gift shop. Carried Mardi Gras items, feather boas, southern bell hats, New Oreleans hand painted wall masks, lots of feathers. After I closed my store & emptied the merchandise, my garage & spare bedroom were full of these feather decorated items and also had life=like furry animals, cats, horses, dogs, etc. (mostly covered with rabbit hair some synthetic) Over a short period of time, the feathers and furry animals, soon began to morph. A feather boa for instance, all feathers intact and feather fibers bound together. Soon the feather fibers would begin to seperate and spread out like a fan. The next morph stage was each individual feather fiber began to sprout bottom to top with extentions of new feather growth on each side. The individual feather fiber took on the appearance of a pine tree, side branches. NOW, THE FREAKY TRAIT.............. The feathers now seperated and fibers which had sprouted new growth were now ready to reproduce. Yes, reproduce. In the very same way as Morgie Fibers. The feather fibers danced to and fro, looking for a partner, just as the Morgie Fibers. Next, their coupling, insemination and reproduction. I have burned some of these Morgie Feathers and the next day, from the ashes, Morgie life still continued. From the burned remains of the feathers, the clumps of ash began to grow extentions. Black specks appearing from the mass. I had them on a paper plate, you could actually hear the black specks make a ping sound as they jumped around the paper plate. Anything in your home is susseptable to Morphing, I have found. God Bless, Love You All, flutterby

just had a revelation, standing outside, smoking.... thinking about feathers. And thinking about the fiber worm i watched dancing on my black shirt this morning.
still standing there smoking, and I saw what looked like a white dandelion tuft blowing by, then realized have been seeing these for some time.
WHAT IF THESE ARE THE SPORES?
I watched one blowing in the wind and land on the concrete. I walked over to it, and either the wind blew it or it jumped, straight up my pants leg. i immediately pulled up the pants leg, and it was no longer fluffy, but mushy looking. several of the tendrils has seperated. i used my lighter to burn the big one, then went to grab the other two.
they moved.
the are exactly the same consistency, diameter, and behavior as the fiber worms i am finding in my laundry. i am also noticing that i look like 'pigpen' when i sit down. small pieces of this exact same looking material billows out around me, can catch it in the sunlight like lint, except i have never seen lint like this that is identical.

Southern,
I posted about the dandelion looking things previously. It is gratifying that one of the super brains (I really mean it), has posted about this. I have sprayed them with a disinfectant and they look like they have melted. They can also make themselves look like string. Really. They can separate and they try to evade either capture or destruction.

newby,
thanks for the confirmation, and i apologize if i hadn't read your post about this. fyi, the length of the fiber/strand i am finding in my laundry is exactly the same length as the odd scratches i have had on my skin, which are now pronounced white scars. my son has these scars on his legs and back.
these are identical to someone's video of the worm that is digging into the cocoon/fiber nest (i think may be southcity's?). have noticed i no longer have cocoons on skin, it is all over my clothes. if i pull one off with fingertips and hold it, i get a small wasp-like sting from it, then finger that it stung goes numb.
i don't know about being a brain, but i sure know how to type :-)

Just think of the absurdity some of the things that are inside of us, These living organisms that sometimes think that they must become a Feather.

Do any of you own any goose down comforters or pillows? I saw those dancing "feather drillers" (I've seen them called that here) before and they freaked me out. Had them in my hair, in my eyes, had them everywhere. As I got better the first time, I noted that it was static which made them dance, similarly to the fibers on my Q-tips.
I'm not saying they aren't little beasts, but I think we should study them more closely to be sure.

Slinker,
I am usually game for a non-scientific experiment. Will try to induce them to move. These fibers can also camouflage themselves. Sometimes, in my apartment, they look like cat hair, but once again, cat hair or dandelions do not try to escape.

I have complete images of these "dandelion" type things. If anyone is interested I could put them up on line. The "body" will seperate from the fluff, the body part seems to get larger and the fluff then becomes "unfluffy " (sorry all I could think of ). These things are everywhere outside now. bugsy

Newby I'm with you on the Not cat hair/fur balls. How is it that they 'skip' and 'jump' to avoid capture? I've started spraying them with ammonia water before trying to round them up. This way, they can't move until I can get to them and I don't have to feel so frantic that they're coming at me from behind just waiting to pounce. I will admit that I have run from them before only to turn around and find that even in my hastey retreat, one or two have attached to me. My basement used to be full of them. I have systematically removed all hiding places. I once found one that was humongous. I mean the size of my hand!. I was mopping and it attached to my mop from under something. Once wet, it took on the typical morgellon shape (for me) cyclops bulbous head with thinner body. Out of the cycloptic eye is usually a hair or "stinger". That giant had a stinger on it that was the size and shape of a large sewing needle, although not silver in color, but a brownish amber. It was after the discovery of that thing, I never underestimated them again. I became very suspicious of all lint like items. I will admit today that I wear gloves when removing stuff from the lint trap in my dryer, often misting first to avoid disturbing them into frenzy. I dread this task as it always is accompanied by a massive skin crawl/itch/burn/bite/sting- and quite frankly, I am over it (or should I say, I wish I could be over it). What scares you?

It has been my experiance that the movement to an object (finger--comb etc,) will depend largely on the static charge that they maintain..they are electro static in nature. This phenomina suprised me also on first notice but i decided to do some experiments with them and the static charge was what I found. I was able to chase one all over the table with my finger--but by changing the charge it would chase me...this is an indication of the type of material of which it is constructed of. My house is full of dead skelatons--fibers--I don't sweat them--only the thing under my skin that is producing them---clear-black-blue WORMS---+ bacteria of some breed (micoplasma incognitis ?) pasudo lyme? Hey--get rid of this and you migt have a chance at the other stuff. any way this is my approch to the problem....I don't intend in no way to tare my house down. Horse before the cart type of thingy.

Justice,
Yes they are terrifying to me as well, especially when I see a few rather large ones within 18 hours of vacuuming really well. They also hide on the undersides of furniture, as well as hiding themselves around/under the feet of furniture. I have also seen them after damp mopping, looking like mop string. Now, I am thankful for recognizing them and having lint rollers (the tape-like kind). The tape rollers pick up whatever they try to leave behind. I agree that misting them first sort of immobilizes them. I am not easily frightened, but do get really freaked out by all of these manifestations.
