My sister has been talking to a lot of doctors in NY and they are telling her that I have a hormone problem. Hahahah. Do you believe it? Or maybe they are right. My mom got really mad at me cause I said, yeah right. She is believing my sister. I said what about the kids and men that have this and the young people and don't you think we all have been tested? What hormone do you think it is then? She was mad at me and she had no answer. What else can I say except we wish it was only a hormone problem. ChicagoBonnie

Hi Bonnie maybe they are referring to a lack of estrogen that can cause a feeling like bugs are crawling on you? This is a real symptom of lack of estrogen . Yeah I wish it were that easy! I take horomones and it hasnt helped at all !

I believe it could be a contributing factor. tinyurl.com/dc479fThe normal non-pregnant uterus is highly resistant to infections (even specific genital organisms such as Brucella, Vibrio and Trichomonas are incapable of persisting for long periods in the non-pregnant uterus). The exact mechanism of this resistance has not been completely elucidated. However, experimental evidence indicates that the uterus under the influence of estrogen (as in the case of the normal non-pregnant uterus) is highly resistant to infection. On the other hand, the uterus under the influence of progesterone (as in the case of the pregnant uterus) is highly susceptible to many specific and non-specific bacterial infections.

Chicagobonnie, I agree that this is not a horomone problem, I think it affects the thyroid and other glands thereby causing the hormones to get out of wack. I don't believe my hot flashes are from menopause either because I have been told for several years that I am long past that stage.

Bonnie, that's for sure (about kids and men too) having the same thing going on as you.
I think unless your sister speaks to anyone of the people who acknowledge this, that's probably the answers she'll get, as your sister is looking for answers in the wrong places. She needs to contact CDC.
Sometimes it seems our parents are in denial and don't want to think something like this could happen to their children.
The hot flashes might be from the lyme.

Same BS that I got from the derms. "Postmenopausal women have this feeling sometimes." Guess I must have been hallucinating when I saw something reach out of my face after a piece of meat and hit the sink. They just oozed right through the pores. Bonnie, doctors can't think out of the box, and apparently neither can your sister.

whew, thanks everyone. I too think that our hormones get out of wack because of this diesease and the doctors(I mean ordertakers) are too mentallly lazy to think about it. They prefer the typical well known diseases. Easy money and lttle to no thinking involved. Just a script pad.
