Hi everyone I have to fill you in a little bit about what has happened to me. 12 years ago I adopted a Newfoundland/Labrador cross dog Ayla. She came from a farm and two weeks after having her I got this "thing" that we have. I cann't put a name to it but sincerely believe that it is more than one thing. I went down hill very very fast and in the end had to give up work and go on welfare which broke my heart as loved my job and had been there thirteen and a half years. I was demented with this thing. All my co-workers said to me Robbie you got this from Ayla, which I believe to be true. We both got very very sick and I nearly lost Ayla, but I managed to save her using all sorts of remedies including aloe vera timotea shampoo. I bathed her every night which was an ordeal as I was not well myself and she was a very big dog. Well Ayla survived and then I noticed that these "things" were breeding in her coat and nothing I could do would help her apart from swimming in sea water. Well Ayla was getting sick and old and it was nearly time for her to leave this world. Off course I was broken hearted and my daughter Christine insisted that I got a puppy before Ayla left me. So we went to the SPCA and I got another Newfoundland/Labrador pup called Kyra. Will to my utter dismay I noticed these things in Kyras coat. I was devastated. So started her on lots of garlic and bathed her regurlary with the shampoo I used for Ayla and myself. I have improved a lot since those days but I see these "things" in Kyras coat everyday. I just cann't escape them. She has had a gungie eye for a few weeks so I have been bathing the eye with warm salted water and tipping the rest of the salt water over her back and all these things popped out of her coat. Now I have been very very remiss and didn't completely cover her with the warm salt water. I have to be very careful grooming Kyra as these things fly out of her coat and land on me and then I am driven nuts with itching. Well I decided to comb her today I can only do it for about 5 minutes because of the rheumatoid arthritis. I decided to comb her bushy tail which I haven't done before AND SHOULD HAVE!!!!!! which makes me very very guilty!!!! Well I got the shock of my life when I combed Kyras' tail hair so that the hair stood up her tail WAS COVERED IN ALMOST ORANGE LITTLE ROUND THINGS THAT I CAN ONLY SAY LOOKED LIKE LITTLE EGGS that a bot fly leaves on horses. There were hundreds of them. So I got a bucket of warm salty water put Kyra in the bath and soaked her paying most attention on her tail.!!!! I have just combed her hair backwards again and all the egg things have gone.!!!!!!! I am 100% sure that these things are killed by salt. So if you can swim in the sea or put copious amounts of salt in your bath water and soak in it including your hair, get out of the bath let the water go and then refil it and have a normal bath I AM SURE THAT THIS WILL HELP YOU!!!! I am also sure that if you eat salty food this will help you internally. I do hope that I haven't rambled on for too long and bored you I just want to pass on to you things that have helped me through the last 12 years. Love and hugs to all. Roberta
